Hit the Motherlode has almost single-handedly won me the game many times. If the massive discover 10 doesn’t land you something *meaty*, you can just dump that mana into something like a Comet Storm and just blast face. Works really well with stuff like Jolene, Roxanne, Goldspan Dragon…
@ it’s definitely come in clutch with my Roxanne deck. I run a lotta 3-costs and a couple x-costs, so being able to slam down 7-9 treasures, maybe combo it with amulet of vigor if you have the money to afford it.
Sunbirds invocation is a great way to either instantly trade 6 mana for 2 mana from your opponents, and get blown out, or instantly win the game. There is no in between. Either this things gets removed instantly, or you go to value town so hard you could 1v6.
I've popped off with sunbird a few times and it is exactly pretty much just win. I played it in a stompy deck so it wasn't crazy but got 20ish mana worth of spells for free felt pretty good.
I think outpost siege is completely underrated. your choice of card advantage or burning your opponents if your creatures die is versatile and impactful in a red go-wide strategy
Depending on whether I have board presence when I cast it, I use Outpost Siege to protect my board. If I am low on permanents, Khans is better. Otherwise being on Dragons can basically be a win condition in my red decks.
I might not have been the most clear when simplifying to keep the video under a minute. I tried to imply a “substitute X for whatever MV that spell is” instead of constantly repeating “where X is the mana value of the cast spell”.
Yeah, the whole Flare cycle was severely underrated. It’s not great in every deck, but the ones that can give up a nontoken creature can abuse the hell out of them!
The second and third are good and amazing (in the right deck) but that first card is steaming dogshit. 6 mana enchantment in red that does nothing for an entire turn rotation is ass
I wouldn’t run Sunbird’s in any generic deck, but it pops off in a deck that consistently generates 10+ mana per turn. It’s either turned me into a must-answer threat or snowballed me into a victory every time I’ve cast it.
Yeah, dude. I don't know if you've just never been on the receiving end of an Invocation, but it definitely puts in the work if it can make it around the table, which, in my experience, usually does. I know higher power games are pushing for things to get benefit from immediately, but do not underestimate this one.
Huge agree, 6 mana do nothing enchantment was unplayable even when it came out tbh. I’ve never been impressed when someone’s played it and the few times I gave it a try it was terrible.
Since it’s an attack trigger, I have Connecting the Dots in my Isshin deck. You can end up with a lot of cards in your hand, in Mardu of all colors.
Oh it looks wild, I didn’t know the card existed until I researched for this vid! How did it go under the radar?!

I haven’t tried it before, but the card looks solid. A Treasure refund based on the different can be a huge deal in lots of decks!

It’s either made me the target or won me the game every time I’ve cast it, so I can second that assessment lol

Thanks for featuring Party Thrasher! I may need to add it to my Rocco deck!
I’m considering it for Kykar Storm… being able to tap the Spirit token AND sacrifice it is pretty powerful
Arcane bombardment is a staple in all of My spell slinger decks and storm decks

Fully agree, it’s basically the red Phyrexian Arena. Which is really good for a colour that struggles with card advantage!

@itslexactually that's exactly what I'm saying!
Over the top is an amazing inclusion if you’re playing a token or treasure deck
Good to know 👍🏼
Don’t worry, I got you 😂
sunbirds invocation is my favorite red card ever!
I’ve had it in Yidris for years, but I’m shocked it doesn’t see more play or cost more money!
Vision of Phyrexia, is a excellent card for fast drawn. I use this card in my deck Gimbal
It’s a solid upgrade to Outpost Siege if you can take advantage of the Powerstones (sac fodder, activated abilities, etc.)!
King gizzard and the ....... .......
I think you accidentally misread Sunbird's Invocation. You don't have to cast a spell with mana value X for it to trigger, it's just spells from hand.

He may be a lizard wizard but he’s no king gizzard
The red flare to from MH3 under dollar 😉💰

Ghostfire Slice is a 4 damage lightning bolt in commander.
I’m not crazy on damage based removal in Commander, but this one would be decent if it turns online the moment an opposing Commander comes out.
Sunburns in vacation
