- The NEW Alpina B8 takes takes the BMW 8-series to a new level. On the outside yyou will notice unique bodywork, 21in wheels, and quad-tip exhaust. On the inside you will be wrapped in a full leather interior with Alpina accents. Under the hood is a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 that pumps out 612HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. One of the best looking bmws on sale today besides the 5 series. The styling is attractive and we got the bmw signature kidney grille not the hideous lung shape grilles they are starting to be see on a lot of models. I hope with a future redesign they don’t ruin it and put the hideous lung shape grilles. There will be no beauty in that

I actually like the huge grill. It grew on me. BMW is making a statement and I like it. But yeah this shape is hands down one of the best they have
This is definitely one of the best looking sedan ever produced. It looks so beautiful in white, shows all the curves and lines.

When I hear "Alpina", it reminds me of Alpine and takes me back the good ol' 90's. Back when aftermarket automobile cd players and car alarms ruled the electronics industry. Back when Circut City and Best Buy were the big boys on the block. One of the first things you did after buying a new or used car was going straight to one of those stores and getting yourself a nice CD player, maybe even one that can change backlight colors. Back then you had your Kenwoods and Pioneers, but Alpine was the probably the top player in the car CD player market. God I miss those days.

Great video! "Joe", I have always known and been a fan of the Alpina brand (love those signature rims). Anyhow you could be driving one of the last ones because this past week they were bought by BMW. It seems that their contract was coming to an end (up for renewal). BMW says that they will keep everything the same but that is what is said in all merger acquisitions! I would like to see Alpina's Brand continue "At least until I can get one😁😊😎"

I was recently at a muffler shop in North Hollywood, Ca and some baller Armenian’s pulled up in a brand new M5 comp pack and an Alpina B8. It was such a beautiful and well built car. Subtle in some ways but yet an absolute beast in disguise. I was happy to be able to actually see the car first hand and the guy was cool and revved it up and even did a quick launch as he was leaving the shop.😃
I’m gonna buy that very same car.

This is the best 4 door sedan on the planet right now in my opinion! Not usually a fan of white but Mineral White pops on this car. Raiti's description of alcantara made me spit coffee on my monitor. LOL

Joe...you made the same comments about the "flat" side bolstering in the M550i. You probably don't remember but I pointed out that there's a button that will tighten up the bolstering to your hearts content...could it be you didn't check for one in the B8? Just wondering. Great job, as always.

The interior is the same as our 2022 330i and 2022 X3 M package. For $149k it would be nice to see something special.
On a side note I am tired of the shtick before Joe names the price I watch every video and it takes 45 seconds longer than necessary. Just my opinion.
Shadowline trim would make this car a bit sharper, but I still love it!

Joe, rear wheel steering was first released by Honda on the Prelude model in the early eighties and not by Nissan in the nineties.
It was the R31 Nissan Skyline in 1985, the Honda prelude had 4WS in 1987

Joe..BMW definitely should have went with black wheels & grille.. I think they wanted it to have more of a luxury look vs sporty look. I have to give it to BMW, they don't play around when it comes to power..They still delivery that Autobahn performance in the US .

The BMW Alpina B8 is one special and unique super sedan. I would take this car over the M8 Competition because the M8 tends to have too stiff of a ride to use as a daily driver, while the Alpina has a soft ride and the performance to match. Is it worth the price? Of course, when you factor in the exclusivity and Alpina's unique heritage.
