Cavs is an absolute behemoth on the drums! They all sound so damn tight, all those soundchecks definitely paid off. Also shoutout to Amby on the tiny cymbal!
God damn, you could tell just from Joey’s facial expression alone that this is one of their physically demanding songs both for them and for the crowd trying to survive until the end of the song, what a beast!
My guess is that Flamethrower doesn’t get played until they fully integrate the electronic music elements into their live shows. They dabbled in it at the US shows, but I imagine after the next album is out that they’ll expand it. Hard to imagine how much gear they are going to have to travel with as they keep adding new sounds. Sounds expensive.

Luke ran over to stu to tell him they should finish Gaia, and then stu told Joey that they would finish Gaia to end the set (which is why he had to plug his guitar back in.) For context, they started Gaia, transitioned to Gila Monster during the drum solo, and moved on to Dragon. I love how improvised all these shows are, but they definitely create confusion for themselves lol.
if you're right in front, you might not get the best sound mix experience. I don't believe the cymbal is mic'd so he has to make sure it's loud enough to be heard all the way to the back. If you were recording audio right next to cavs all you would hear is him too probably

I was so disappointed when they didn’t play the Gaia Guitar solo. They suddenly switched to Gila and proceeded with Dragon but the way they ended the show with Gaia like that was epic!! They are awesome

holy fuck, not only did they play it damn near flawlessly, THEY PLAYED IT FUCKING FASTER THAN THE STUDIO VERSION. HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE
The tempo was kinda all over but still wicked and difficult to pull off
They fcked up the „stop the dragon“ part, but it’s nothing. Still pretty difficult to hit that segment right with bass & drums.
