    Well from my experience you only have to turn the banking on in the leading loco, that shall doo the trick.. any other locos connected with the radio on will obey..

    Why don’t these engines already come setup in DP mode? I’m tired of running to the rear of these mega trains

    I noticed the the DPU radios turn off when you hit each one in each unit when you turn it on in that unit .

    Best video ever. Can you show me how to activate the distributed power on the Clinchfield SD40-2 so that I can control all the other locomotives with the first locomotive?

    If you have only 1 loco as a DPU unit at the rear, do you set it up as a lead DPU?

    Would you use this only if you have one locomotive in the front and one in the back, or could you use this is you have like 2 in the front and all the carts in the back?

    • @lucerogaming3720
      @lucerogaming3720  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great question so for in game I would recommend turning it on even if there back to back. It seems like it helps with power.
      In real life, no the locomotives would have to be separated. So when you see 2 to 3 locomotives in the front and 2 to 3 on the rear of the train they are more then likely running with DP power.

    Your description of how to set up DPU units is way off. The radios that your were looking at on the units have nothing to do with DPU. Those radios are in the nose of the unit. The radios that you were looking at are for communication between engineer and dispatcher, conductor when he is on the ground and other train engineers.
    Dpu set up always start with the rear DPU unit and you work forward to the lead unit. You are way off base. Most overlooked thing on rear DPU units is locking the engineer's seat so it doesn't twist around and hit the ABV handle.

    • @lucerogaming3720
      @lucerogaming3720  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol 😆 I know that about the raidos but I've noticed that sometimes the DPU doesn't engage till you turn on the raidos. For some reason that's how the game works.
      I noticed in the GPs and SDs that's how they work.

      Let’s be fair, I don’t think it’s his fault, I think it’s how the game works. My railroad doesn’t have AC4400s, but every EVO I’ve worked on, you have to set up DP in the SDIS screen and enter in the unit numbers.
