    These videos have been so much help to me as i built my own reflection pool. It's still a work in progress, but I'm getting there. Thanks so much.

      Glad the videos have been helpful. The only think I would do differently is making the pool higher or the ability to sit lower. I have to sit on the floor which is not good for knees and back.

      I am going to have a go in the morning. Will make the video over two or three days. I think I will probably alter the display at the end as well. Will post the video next week. (WB 1st June)

    Good one Darrell you don't have to be a carpenter for this one

    Hi, just could not believe it took you so long to work out how to put the wood in the workmate rather than trying to hold it with your hand!! Good job looking forward to seeing it in action. Russ

      I agree. I was thinking more about filming rather than using any common sense. Just proving I am no DIY master.

      Thanks Sarah. I grew up in Staffordshire (Mid England) then went to univeristy in Winchester so a little southern was added to the the mix. Then I have been a teacher for 26 years which has rounded some of the corners off my northern twang. My wife always says that I talk funny, she finds my videos hilarious. Which part of the world are you from?

    Not sure if it will help, but gardening shows use a black dye which is safe to animals etc (from what they say). It blocks the view into a shallow pool or metal grid as walkway. This is a great project. Thanks for sharing.

    How often do you have to change the water ?

    • @DarrellOakdenPhotography
      @DarrellOakdenPhotography  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I changed a couple of times over summer. I did add pond clear to stop the algae. Using rain water is much better as tap water contain phosphates that encourage algae growth. I am thinking of arranging a run off from the shed to keep it topped up with rain water.
