I was a step dad once (10 years ago). It was the most HORRIBLE and painful experience of my life. My rship with my step-daughter was such a beautiful phase and she was only 2yrs old when I held her in my arms. My ex gf on the other hand was just a nightmare, but I overstayed in that rship because of my attachment to the baby. Don't do it! If you are going to "date" a single mom, make it clear, that her kids are HER kids and we don't want ANY part of it. It'll end very badly..(Fellow Gen'Xr here for those who want to connect and can relate). I currently run a self-improvement/mental health channel for 40+

Gentlemen you need to put your mask on before you put on anyone else’s if the plane is going down. This means vetting women for at least 6 months to a year before you even get in a relationship. Wrap it up too.

There were a lot of good points made in this video, and frankly, there are too many of them to comment on because time would fail me.
I would like to say that unless you have gone and got tested with a girl, and you have seen her test results in black&white, (on paper and only from a place you have both gone to get tested at and at the same time), and they state that her results are totally clean, then do not engage in unprotected sex with her because the consequences of doing so could be life-altering, and we only get one shot at this thing so, please be careful. Pleasure does NOT justify needless risk.
Secondly, even if you love a woman, whether she wants to be with you or not is ultimately up to her. Remember, she is a free moral agent just like you, and I am sure you would not like her to disrespect your decision not to want to be with her. So treat her with the same respect you would wish to be shown.
That said, even if the answer is no, that she doesn't want to be with you or she can no longer continue doing so, then accept it and keep moving forward in your life. What else is left to do? Don't let one disappointment potentially dictate the course of your life, because by doing that youre giving up control of your life.
You hear people who blame their past mistakes or failures as to the reason why their life is currently garbage, and you especially find these people in bars, and I know because I was once one of those people. Well, and I speak from experience, what they're really saying is they gave responsibility of their life to that situation, instead of taking responsibility of their life for themselves. To whom or what you give responsibility to, you also give power to.
Don't let your past mistakes, failures, or disappointments dictate your present because it will affect your future. As the old country song by Tracey Lawrence goes: "Time Marches On."
