Didn’t upgrade to 11 but 12 is a sure bet for me. A ton of these new features are QOL things I’ve been wanting to speed up my style of workflow, can’t wait to try them all out. I’m literally excited for every single new feature.
Thanks Tom! Hard to say what I'm most excited about - It's prob a toss up between being able to - split a midi note in two, or chop it into several parts. Select a set of midi notes and join them together. Or staying in control of a parameter, even after it’s been mapped to a modulation source 🔥
Hello Tom, I just purshased your Dj megaset pro 3.3 but actually can’t make it runs well on live 12. Can you please update it to ableton live 12? Thank you and greetings from Brazil ❤
Looks like a real leap this time! Does the new sample search feature rival XO for accuracy? Cant see exactly what the selectors are from the vid, but wondering if tone, length, type, key etc are all selectable? This is game changing if so as my samples are admittedly all over the place and while i do have XO i prefer a native experience in Ableton. Thanks for the vid!
It’s basic tag system. If you have your own samples, plugins etc you need to tag everything to make it work. Algonaut Atlas and XLN XO scan all you sounds and sort them in space by similar frequency content. Check out First Look / SonicLab presentation
I use ableton but I see the courses focuses more on Logic Pro and fl studio. Are you using the plugins are built into the daw or external plugins to master? I’m just looking for a new way to master my music through ableton.
Have they finally fixed the atrocious MIDI clock/external instrument issues which makes recording hardware with consistent and accurate timing completely impossible? When I emailed them about this showing them video screen recordings of the issues, they literally told me "its a bug, sorry". Really hope this bug was fixed because its my main DAW, and constantly having to readjust these settings has been really driving me insane for years.

I love live but for me, this updates are trash. Sure having the arrangement view and mixer on the same screen is cool unless you have multiple screens in your studio. Funny that it was just released today but there are 10,000 Ableton 12 videos on TH-cam already. Kind of over it before it released after having the beta. No update hype. Kinda weird. I think everyone’s had the beta already.
