So say it again for the makeup newbies... 1. Setting spray to set skincare 2. Primer... 3. Powder so smooth base 4. Foundation (as normal) 5. Powder again with a damp beauty blender 6. Setting spray for final base Is that correct?
Number 3 is a very light dusting of powder with a fluffy brush. The beauty blender+powder step is a little heavier, and you press it into the skin. But yes!
The Milani matte long lasting setting spray is like my holy grail. Before trying it I didn't think setting sprays actually worked. If you have oily skin you have to try it really does make a big difference in how long your makeup lasts.
maijaskullady yes 100% agree I've tried sooo many different settings sprays high end and drugstore and so far the only one I repurchase is drugstore. I like to compare the actual quality of a product who cares about the company name if it works it works. But for real try the Milani matte one if you have oily skin you probably will really like it.
I love these tip based videos! My oily skin needs all the help it can get! Living in the Queensland summer right now is a real challenge! I already do some of these, and I'm excited to see how trying some new tricks will change the game!
I’ve been using the eye primer on my nose trick that you mentioned in a prior video and let me tell you IT WORKS!! I don’t have any transference off my nose anymore! I also use the tips to help my foundation stay on my oily skin and they work wonderfully. Now if I can just correct my texture issue....
Nikkia, I just tried out the morphe brow pencil after watching your video on it for the ABH brow wiz dupe and girl I AM SHOOK!!! you’ve saved me so much money 🤗
When I first found you on TH-cam a few years back, I remember you had mentioned using the paint pot on the nose, and you changed my life and my makeup game forever!!! Till this day, I use that trick and always recommend it! Love you!!
Fabulous video! I put my makeup on at 6:00 in the am and then usually have to remove it all and start all over again later in the day. I am going to try all of your suggestions. Thanks for the code on the SLAY setting spray. I bought it right away! You are so sweet, funny, beautiful, and gifted - I just love you so much!
It's not fair for you to be so amazing at makeup AND so beautiful. I have learned so much from watching your videos. You are so talented and relatable. Love from America.
You are so helpful. I just bought the Jouer foundation and while my skin looked flawless this morning it has separated, disappeared and spotlighted my pores once it began to really settle a couple hours in and I’m not oily, I have dry skin! Well I’m going to try your suggestion. Thank you dear! 💗
I have never tried powder before foundation but I will definitely try it!! I’m always trying new approaches and new products in hopes of perfecting my makeup routine!!
So pretty 💙 I love you so much 😍✨ And your makeup tricks always work for me 👏 ! You know what? You’re the best. I love watching TH-cam makeup tutorials, but I never trust them, like seriously you’re the only one I can trust with makeup review and opinion. Whenever I want something new I’ll look for a video from your channel and watch it ! You’re amazing ❤️
Slayyyying with the videos Nikkia 😍 I just cannot wait for you to slay the new collection of Nikkia Joy Cosmetics already. I am so excited, you cannot even imagine 🤩
I love all of your tips and tricks! Your skin is just like mine. I work as a cocktail waitress in Las Vegas so I need my makeup to last all night long.
This might be a random question but I honestly don't really know the answer to this..when you're letting your lash glue dry where do people place them & how without it getting messy? I just hold them up but I notice a lot of youtubers just set it somewhere & multitask at the same time while it's drying. Always love all your videos Nikkia 💖 you have the BEST tips out there! 😊
Most people just hold them and wave them around or blow on them while they're getting tacky. You don't put them down because it only takes 10-20 seconds for the glue to dry a bit.
Hold lashes with tweezers (& apply with tweezers). I sometimes squeeze the glue onto the top of a pallet, lid, id or other clean surface area, dip the back of the tweezers into the glue then gently wipe it across the lash strip. If you do this, you can let the glue set for a bit (hands-free) that way. If I set lashes down to dry, inevitably glue comes off then I have to reapply and I'm back at sq one . It doesnt take long for it to get tacky...10-30 secs depend ing on how much your you've applied. And dont wait too long!
These are so helpful!! You're awesome! Please do an updated skin care routine. I know you discover different skin care products every day but you're tips are so helpful!
LOVED all your tips and tricks!!!!! You are absolutely gorgeous and so talented! I look forward to EVERY video of yours 😍💕. Much love from Philadelphia 😘
Oh, wow..I can’t wait to try the false eyelash trick..I always have issues with them lifting!!😱😬🙌🏻 Awesome video!! This was extremely helpful..THANK YOU!! Love you, Nikkia!!💖😘 xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
Can you try out La Mer cushion foundation? It’s really hard to find a beauty guru with the same skin type, skin tone, skin problems, and the same foundation shades... I’m so glad I found you💕
I seriously LOVE this videos that you make! 😍 They are really great tips for people like me with oily skin! Thank you for this amazing video and will try to see if this helps my makeup... For me you are a true expert when it cames to makeup! 💄❤️ Kisses from Portugal 😘
Nikkia help! I have figured out your skin type and mine are so similar, what tends to work for me works for you and vice Versa. What Mascara do you recommend that won’t smudge and flake throughout the day, I have terribly oily skin, even my eyelids! And no matter what, I get raccoon eyes after a few hours regardless if I wear eyeliner or not
These were GREAT🙌🙌Thanks Nikkia for some awesome tips girl!! Definitely trying the concealer hack for the nose, that’s my struggle area!! I think you’re just the BEST❤️❤️
I didn't see it asked already, but I love this eye look!! What did you use? Tutorial coming soon possibly?? I'm not an oily girl, but makeup has never truely lasted on me. Birthday dinner next weekend. I have some practice to do this week!!
When you said set your face with powder before foundation, is this after or before primer. I might of missed it but I was confused about that. You are my guru when it comes to this stuff because our skin textures are the same

Yes I'm so glad you did an updated video on this. I am an oily skin girl and need all the help I can get it! Thank you💜💜💜
You are such a God send. Thank you for these amazing tips especially from a fellow oily skin girl! ❤️
The Milani matte long lasting setting spray is like my holy grail. Before trying it I didn't think setting sprays actually worked. If you have oily skin you have to try it really does make a big difference in how long your makeup lasts.
maijaskullady I like that one but it it actually makes my skin get oily faster, it doesn't have as much alcohol as the Milani one.
If you think that setting spray is good wait until you try real quality ones like Urban Decay!
Shelby Lynne tried all of urban decay sprays and they are the worst settings sprays for oily skin in my opinion. Did absolutely nothing.
maijaskullady yes 100% agree I've tried sooo many different settings sprays high end and drugstore and so far the only one I repurchase is drugstore. I like to compare the actual quality of a product who cares about the company name if it works it works. But for real try the Milani matte one if you have oily skin you probably will really like it.
Thank you for sharing. Will have to try!
I'm so happy you are moving up so fast. Love you
Baking the eyelids and powder my face before foundation makes such a diference. Love you girl

Thanks for all the great tips! Could you do a video explaining how to match eyeshadow colors to your blush and lips colors?
I'd like to see this too 👍
?? You just use a warm blush and lipstick if you did a warm eye look. It's simple.
I want to try all of the tips so excited to do my makeup tomorrow 😄👝💄👄💋
