I think mina and jeongyeon are the main character from this MV. They are the one who see the storm from the window and I think it is intended as they are the one who went on hiatus. And the member always got each other until the storm end in the last scene. This is very touching MV with great lyrics.
Pay attention to Sana’s lyrics.
It’s about when Sana was getting so much hate for mentioning Japan and didn’t smile or interact for months.

the red string of fate is a folklore story about how, no matter where, your soulmate is linked to you by a red string linked to your pinkies and it means you're soulmates. So basically Twice is showing that they were linked by fate and they are always soulmates that can weather any storm that comes their way because they always have each other

1- The red ribbon and red lines they draw on each other's fingers symbolize the red thread of fate. This means that people are destined to be soulmates regardless of place, time or circumstances.
2. Only Mina and Jeong watched the storm from the window because they were the ones who had been on hiatus. At the beginning of the scene, Mina saw a storm but smiled again when she saw the members.
3. The boat inside always feels warm even though there is a storm outside, which means that no matter how hard it is, they always feel warm and at home in each other's company. I think the boat symbolizes their journey where even though the storm hit them they were still able to get through it and reach a bright day saw the members.

I love this detail!
The lower registers from Dahyun and Momo is the highlight of this for me. Everything about this is amazing, including all the vocals, but I especially love when Twice uses their deep tones.

I 100% agree! With the hardships Mina and Jeongyeon went through then the girls having to power on without them when they went through their hiatus, made this song extra special! 💙💙

Sana went through a terrible time too.
When she talked about it later she mentioned that her whole world turned upside down in one day and she was afraid she’d lost Once forever.
I’m not sure, but I think that look on Jihyo’s face when being hugged by Sana is a reference to when Jihyo also had a very hard time due to dating rumors.
Because Jihyo takes her position of leader seriously she didn’t take any hiatus and tried to pretend she was ok.
Can't blame you from crying, baby Once. We've all been there. And for us elder Once this is just more of how not to cry again because of TWICE and not to get stucked in the never-ending loop of saying "this is my most favorite MV of all time". But yeah, we did cry here of course 😂

14:40 i think the inspiration behind the red ribbon or string would be the red string theory, which is an idea that each and every one of us has red strings attached or connected to us and in the other end of the string would be our true love, but in the mv the string attached to them(TWICE) is not just connected to one person but to every members so it's like saying that their true love is not limited to one, i guess~.

Mina is also my bias and this is so her era!!!! I think this is exactly everything I wanted from this song as well!! Jeongyeon, Sana, and Jihyo are my wreckers as well so this was just like the perfect MV for me. My almost 8-year ONCE heart is just throbbing right now. They did this for us!!

Sana starts, pretty sure it's either Duhyun or Chae next, then Mina! you are NOT imagining it!!!!!!! 💙💙💙

Fish gotta cry Rogue, Fish gotta cry, we know this. I too believe this song belongs to Mina and Jeongyeon, Mina starts it Jeongyeon ends it and both vocals are to die for. They are both watching the storm with knowing eyes but what stands out to me is that Jeongyeon is on the light house and is the beacon of safety. Destiny (fate if you like) brought them together and it will keep them together because Jeongyeon will always bring them back together and US ONCE's as well. Jeongyeon SLAYED me in this song but my wreckers MoDub brought me back beautiful song. I believe this song will be a smash around the world but only Korean ONCE's will buy it in Korea but that's OK they are beyond K-pop and belong to the world now anyway. OT9 forever.
