@@MichellePiñon-b9b Watching these videos, studying the different ports, learning speeds of network and all the different types of wifi like G, N, AB, and AX. Also, thanks.
Seriously thank you, I have watched so much content on the a+ and this simplifies a LOT of stuff making it understandable! Great job! Your full course and questions are great.
Hej, nice job. The answer to Question 120 seems to me to be C and not D. The question states that the printer wouldn't print on one side. Printing on both sides of the paper has to do with 'duplex setting'. You are doing a great job, keep it up.
Great insight! This level of understanding shows you are certainly learning the material. This particular item was brought up before and a notion was made in the video description regarding this question. Question 120 - The question was meant to refer to "one side of the paper" as the left or right side of the page. If the question is read as "one side of the paper" being the front or back, then enabling duplex printing would be an appropriate solution.
@@CertificationCynergy Ah, but t was not clearly stated about right or left side. One side could as well be front or back. But if it is left and right, then you are right. Thanks for your response and clarifications.
The answer to Question 81 is incorrect... 802.11ac standard is NOT capable of operating on both 2.4 and 5GHz, only 5GHz. The correct answer to the question "which Wi-Fi standard is capable of operating on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies?" is not shown but would be either 802.11n or 802.11ax.
Great comment, and we totally agree with you! 👍 As we point out in our CompTIA ITF+ training course and then briefly again in our CompTIA A+ Core 1 training course, access points aligned with the 802.11ac (WiFi 5) standard are commonly equipped with a 2.4GHz radio to allow them to be backwards compatible. These 802.11ac access points are referred to as dual-band or tri-band access points. Here is what CompTIA provides in The Official CompTIA A+ Core 1 Certification Study Guide - Exam 220-1101: "WiFi 5 (802.11ac): WiFi 5 is designed to work only in the 5GHz band. A dual-band access point can use its 2.4GHz radio to support clients on legacy standards. A tri-band access point has one 2.4GHz radio and two 5GHz radios." This is a question that has been used by CompTIA for some time now with a few different variations. If encountered, 802.11n would be the primary answer. But, when 802.11n is not present in the answer pool, 802.11ac will be the optimal choice. Unfortunately, we don't have control over the types of questions CompTIA uses, we just do our BEST to prepare you for whatever they throw your way. Hope this information helps. Keep up the great work!

On question 156, wouldn't a device with an APIPA address also be a valid reason a user can only connect to files and devices locally but not reach any external networks?
Excellent question! This shows that you have a great understanding of Networking basics. Let's just add a bit more knowledge to get you through this tricky question. The key lies in the term "Limited Internet Connectivity". In Windows, the messages "Limited Internet Connectivity" and "No Internet Access" both indicate network issues, but they refer to slightly different situations: Limited Internet Connectivity: This message means that the device has successfully connected to a network gateway (such as a local router or a Wi-Fi access point) but cannot fully access the internet. At a minimum, the device has a valid IP address within the local subnet's usable IP address range. The connection may be functioning for local resources (e.g., local file sharing or a printer), but the device cannot communicate with external internet resources. The MOST probable reason for this type of connectivity issue is the internet connection is down. No Internet Access: While this may seem a bit of a misnomer, this message indicates that Windows detects no connection to a network gateway. This could result from hardware failures, such as a disconnected Ethernet cable, a disabled network adapter, or a having an APIPA or other IP address that places the device outside of the local subnet's usable IP range.

Your confusion is well warranted. The question was meant to refer to "one side of the paper" as the left or right side of the page. If the question is read as "one side of the paper" being the front or back, then enabling duplex printing would be an appropriate solution. Apologies for this question not being more clear.
