I have terrible driving anxiety too, but it always makes me feel a little better hearing other people talking about it, so thank you! I actually finished my Driver’s Ed when I was 26, but we got our first huge snowstorm of the year on the morning of my test and I got stuck in the snow at an intersection, scared the heck out of myself (and failed the test), and haven’t driven in 4 years. But I’m feeling ALMOST ready to get onto the roads and practice again 😂

Twin Mom here. Mine was born at 34 weeks on Mother's Day. They do sometimes come early but I've heard of some twin moms going to 37-38 weeks! Praying yours stay in the oven as long as possible ❤️

So proud of you for driving! I had the biggest driving anxiety when I first started. I didn't get my licence until I was about 22. Drove a little when I was 17 and stopped very quickly because of anxiety. When I officially started driving again it probably took me like 10 times before feeling a tad comfortable. But truly I did not start to feel comfortable driving till after I got my N (new driver, I'm from BC) and could drive by myself. It really helped me calm down. You will get there over time. Every time it gets better. And soon you will be a pro!

I've had amaxophobia for a loooong time. It took me 10 years and a baby (manual car here in europe), but I can tell you how liberating it is to finally have this weight out of your shoulders. At the end I felt like it was part of my identity ("the girl who does not drive") and it was hard to picture myself as a driving person, but guess what? I did it and YOU can do it, one lesson at a time! 💪 It has been over a year now, baby n°2 is on the way and I could definitely not live without that car anymore...

Well this video makes me feel normal...I was 25 when I got my license and people look at me like I'm crazy! My husband works 3rd shift so nothing could be scheduled til after 3pm...
When i could finally drive myself it was so freeing...I didn't realize how much of my day was wasted waiting!

I was so anxious when I learned to drive! What helped me was learning to trust myself that I knew what I was doing and was capable of getting where I need to go safely. The key is always looking in your mirrors and staying aware of the cars around you and driving defensively/not giving into road rage/frustration. For me, I still get anxious when I have to drive on major highways, but I have zero anxiety driving locally and that's a huge change from when I started. You're going to be a great driver!

Driving for that long is such a big accomplishment coming from someone who also has a lot of driving anxiety! I also got my license once we had a baby, and I must say it does get easier each time and with lots of practice! I thought I’d never be able to drive alone, and now I do all the time(still anxious sometimes, but then I just take a break). Congrats, definitely a big step!

I did not get a legal driver's license until I was 21. My then husband was having knee surgery so would have to sit in the back seat with the front seat folded down for his long leg. He sat with the baby. lol I still get a bit of anxiety when I first have to go somewhere but am good once I go. Driving is freedom at it's finest & children are the best inspiration to get good at it. You'll be fine!

I'm not sure why, but I have been drawn to lgbtq relationships; especially if they are on a journey of becoming parents. You ladies caught my attention more so because you're in another country than me. I get to learn new things about another country or culture. Thanks for sharing your journey.

i didn’t get my license until I was 20. A big part of the reason why I didn’t get it before then was because my family couldn’t afford a drivers Ed let alone the cost of getting a permit and the increase to the auto insurance…the other reason was my fear because I was in a rollover accident as a child. I am 28 now and am mostly over the fear. It truly does get easier!

I got my license when i was 30!! It's totally terrifying.... but it got easier. The real trick was doing it more and more. I'm still a bit nervous - and we're getting a new car this week so I've gotta adjust again! But we got this!!!
