Running the game in windowed mode allows you you increase the resolution to 900p and it runs just as well.

This game actually supports gamepad controller as you can see on the button prompts

Devs said they are working on getting Steam Deck verified. They are only a 2 people team so I guess they couldn't work on it enough by launch.
