I want to visit Alqosh and see the tomb of Nahum & Ezekiel. Is it safe and how would you recommend? Is a local guide needed? I’ll be in Baghdad in a few weeks and am planning now
Yeah it's absolutely safe don't take it from me go watch every video about Iraqi Kurdistan. You'll find out there's nothing to be worried about. One of the safest places in the Middle East. However I know prophet Ezekiel's shrine or Zul-Kifl AKA in Arabic is in a town named after him Al-Kifl near Najaf. Not quite sure how safe is that area there.
They’re used by Kurds and Chaldeans in Iraqi Kurdistan, especially in Alqosh, my grandparents from both sides wore those clothes, Kurds and Assyrians are very closely related also
Beautiful AlQosh, from your Arab friend in Baghdad 💚🇮🇶
A lot of Iraqi Christians here in California both Assyrians and Chaldeans...Alqosh looks beautiful and peaceful greetings from California ✌🏼
The Assyrian dialect has many similar & even same words as the Iraqi Arabic dialect. Love to our brothers and sisters in Al Qosh 💚
That's because Chaldean Assyrian and Arabic and i believe Hebrew as well are all semetic languages.
That’s because Chaldeans have used a lot of loan words. The Assyrian dialect is nothing like Arabic.

Assyrians/Chaldeans wear clothes accordingly to their village customs not their ethnic identity.
