I really wish content creators would stop only reporting revenue. That’s all they ever state in their videos about the income they’re making, and it doesn’t mean much to us, since we have no clue about the capital, profit margins, expenses, marketing costs, etc. You could be left with $1k or $3k or $10k or even be in the negative! It doesn’t tell us anything. Maybe your products have a high wholesale cost. Who knows. Why do TH-camrs do this? I feel like it’s super scammy and not authentic.
Hey @summerBaby728 I totally get where you're coming from. I should probably shoot another video breaking down costs. Our profit margins currently sit at about 45% (so $10,082.25 if I do quick math) - We only spend currently $5 per day on Etsy ads and $5 per day on FB ads too, but that's figured in to 45% margins. But, the other thing most don't realize either is we have built a customer list from these sales that we own and can now sell more too in the future. So, what is the true margins if you look at the life time value of a customer if you're building a brand and not a garage sale type general store? It's much higher, but yes we will profit just over $10k, but yes we have to pay taxes too, but you do if you work for someone too 🙂 Hope this clears things up.
