    Now this is how you do Dyno videos, straight through with one brand at a time and their who line up! Nice!

    This video is crazy good for consumer to make educated decisions. One thing I would suggest for future videos is to put the advertised specs of each amp.

      No, it’s fantastic data for someone to evaluate brands if these guys keep testing full lineups. Is “X” brand being honest or not?

      @abelscaliber7969 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s kind of misleading though. Unless all the channels were being driven at the same ohm load, it’s very misleading. An amp will do more power while only driving the sub channel and not using the other channels.
      If they are being driven that’s insanely underrated

    I have the xr901-5. One little Amp makes the car sound like it has an extensive multi Amp high end system. Runs hot, but never quits. Must be designed to take the heat? I don't know. But this is the Amp I recommend to everyone.

      I didn't see the Mono/Subwoofer Channel tested here on the *X802-5* either. :-( Enquiring minds (and I'm sure Seth & the bigwigs at Kenwood) want to know!
      *EDIT* My Bad! I just noticed that Dean & Fernando had already done a separate Amp Dyno Test on the Kenwood X802 5 about 8 months ago, so check it out.
      Though it doesn't really matter because nearly everybody is Out Of Stock except for 3 on Amazon/SoundsGood Auto in the U.S.
      Hop over to *SonicElectronix* and pick up the *NVX VAD11005* instead that has More Power and is On Sale for $319, and it is conformal coated/Marine Certified as well. They include a Bass Knob, too. I've used these amps A LOT in budget SQ installs and they are great performers.

      Glad you scored one when they were available. 👍 The main difference between the Kenwood 802-5 and 901-5 is of course the power ratings, and the XR901-5 is an *eXcelon Reference* model (XR) and the X802-5 is a standard *eXcelon* model.

      @@bbfoto7248 me too. I went back and fourth between the two. In the end, the 802 was a hair more powerful but both should have about the same quality, I would assume. They 802 and 901 both are high res and the 802 was significantly cheaper.

    I was wondering why those numbers were low on that first 1000 watt Kenwood and then I noticed the voltage being used isn't what Kenwood and every other amp company known uses to test there amps with. I'm sure a lot of people have been and will be discouraged by some of these number and not buy the amps thinking that they don't even make the power they say they do or just barely.

  • @bbfoto7248
    @bbfoto7248 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    @5 Star Car Stereo
    Great to finally see this way overdue Amp Dyno test!
    But I have to say that it won't be entirely accurate (for the multichannel amplifiers) compared to a "real world" test unless ALL of the Channels are driven and have a load at the same time.
    In these tests, the amplifier's POWER SUPPLY only is only required to drive 2 of the 4 channels, or only the subwoofer channel on the 5-channel amps. If the power supply had to drive all of the channels the output #s would be different (less).
    I realize that this is a limitation of the Amp Dyno and not your testing methodology, so there's that. But it would be more telling to see a true test with All Channels Driven.
    I also didn't see the Mono/Subwoofer Channel tested here on the *X802-5* either. :-( Enquiring minds (and I'm sure Seth & the bigwigs at Kenwood) want to know!
    EDIT: I saw that you had already done a separate Amp Dyno test of the X802-5 about 8 months ago. 👍
