@@Matthew-jp4sn raccoons are not aggressive. They will only be aggressive if they feel one threaten or two they are sick (rabies) . Healthy raccoons won’t attack you if anything they will just flee from you and mind there own business.
I’m currently trying to figure out what my dog was fighting in the ditch…. I think it was one of these guys. They were obscured by tall grass, but I got worried because she started yelping. Think she got a raccoon bite based on the noises

Strangely i have had many encounters with raccoons and they have all been pleasant. They would come and very very gently take food from my hand. Probably bad on my part for getting them acclimated to me. God knows some prick probably shot 1 of them later because one of the raccoons approached him.
It sounds like a dog's bark. I leave food out for them and every now and again I come out back to smoke a cig and I guess I interrupt their meal and I can hear them on the edge of the woods barking
It’s funny cuz if you gave them some Doritos they’d magically become your best buddy in the world after that lol raccoons basically just hunt hunt hunt and eat what they can find and if you have good quality food you’ll never get attacked again but make sure you don’t run out or blood will spill and it’s not gonna be the raccoons blood lol 😂
raccoons will attack and kill cats if the come across them I worked for a vet the coons would shred the cats and even if they lived thru the attack we had to put the cats down bc of the damage being too much
It's not really great to put them outside anyways, they can get into fights with dogs, other cats, raccoons, coyote, foxes, etc. Plus they could get hit by a car, taken by animal control or by a good Samaritan who mistook them for a stray, accidentally wander into a lethal trap meant for a wild animal, or be purposefully killed by some psycho who doesn't like that there's a cat on their property. And they have a huge tendency to kill many, many birds, mice, and insects for sport in just a few hours, so they aren't great for the ecosystem either. It's best to just keep your little fluff ball inside or get them a catio.

Raccoons are very loving and social animals, and absolutely cute. And they share their food with other raccoons. He felt threatened. :)
