- Here I cover how to play the Warlock Hellbringer paragon path to deal as much damage as you can, along with showing how you can setup a solid Damage build for a little as 1 million Astral Diamonds! Keep in mind of people manipulating the prices for a few weeks after this video, prices will settle down eventually or you can just find alternatives at similar cost that do just as well. You can use the gear, mounts and companions setups for all DPS classes just fine!

I actually like this guide as it really helps when you are a low level who originally played on ps4 but had to switch to pc because the ps4 broke therefore having to start all over again I have roughly half of the items I was instructed to buy and I am topping dps in skirmishes as a 27k rogue

Its been a while since i saw anything Neverwinter, still never going back to that trash heap but heres a comment coz this guy has some of the best content for the game....
Feels like Sun Elf > Tiefling for Warlock DPS now, I see a lot of both (I think the Tieflings are legacy characters like yours, too bad there's no _Class_ Reroll because Infernal Wrath is *STONKS* on Tanks!), but I went Sun Elf and the fast repeatable Tyrannical Curse from the AP bonus is beautiful. 😈
Long-post:
1. Best at-will for soul spark generation is Hand of blight (Melee range) OR Hellish rebuke ONLY, again, ONLY with NPNM class feature. I play with 1st for just 2 reasons: 1. I dont like to lose a portion of damage when target affected by my Hellish rebuke doesnt attack me. 2. Visually, its better :)
2. I always use Blashpemy build even on single target, yay (Since 3 paragon paths back in the days)! The reason behind this is simple, i like to build something with magnitudes only, so, AOE is this:
- Cast Hellfire ring for 175 dmg + 25 from DC class feature. And PLEASE, STAY IN THE DAMN RING TO MAXIMIZE UR DAMAGE! Targets are cursed now
- Cast Curse bite for 325 dmg + 85 from Parting Blasphemy feat. And PLEASE, LET UR TARGET BE ON UR SCREEN, otherwise target behind u or behind a hill/wall/etc. wont suffer any damage from ur encounter power.
- Cast Fiery bolt for 260 dmg + 25 from DC class feature. Targets are cursed now
- Cast Curse bite for 325 dmg + 85 from Parting Blasphemy feat.
Thats it, everyone is dead.
3. So why im using DC class feature? Well, did u know how miniscule damage from ur curse? It procs several times within 8 seconds, but numbers are way too low, so my goal is to make EVERYTHING in my arsenal effective, dont let this thing be useless rudiment. Also, not many people know, but Hand of blight DOUBLE PROCS my DC class feature, so im technically dealing 55 + 25 + 25 dmg per hit with my at-will (Ofc i also have ACC class feature).
Solo is this:
- Killing flames
- Hadars grasp
- Curse bite BUT i prefer Vampiric embrace. Why? Double self-heals since u CONSUME ur curse with this encounter power, also developers are turds bcuz Curse bite isnt affected by ur last 2 feats which can reduce CDs of any encounter powers. I dont care about "BuT HeY, iT HaS 2 ChArGeS aNd ThAt Is wHy u CaNt rEdUcE iTs cOoLdOwN!", is it an encounter power? Yes! Do these last 2 feats reduce cooldowns? Yes! So, i see no excuses.
Im also using Double scorch and constant puppet for... Yep, magnitudes! And cmon, i want to make my puppet great again, like i said the same about my curse. U cant use 20% dmg buff feat WITH Double scorch feat against solo target for 1 reason: we have only 1 encounter power which summons puppet when we consume the curse. The problem is whenever u try to gain 2nd or 3rd stack of Soul investiture puppet WILL disappear and all stacks will be gone!
About shadow slip... USE IT! UFCKING USE IT! I dont know about EU servers, but when i see 70k-80k IL players on RU server who continue to be stunned/slowed/frozen/etc. for example, at dragon hunts, it hurts. It really hurts. People are so damn stupid or bad whatever. If u have any crowd control effect on u, then USE UR SHIFT ALREADY! Dont forget about immunity frames at the very 1st second when u activate ur shift, it helps to negate any deadly hit. Strahd Sisters, Trobriand or even Nostura with her big hit (It calls Терновник, probably translates to Thorn). I have many times when we had bad tank or even NO tank at all and i was doing his job.
And last advice. Please, dont rush to buy combat enchantment even tho it gives BIG IL boost. Just dont. When u are new to the game, u wont see any huge improvements to ur overall DPS since, well, u play in SCALED content. But u lose TONS of STATS, especially defensive ones. If u are dead, then u deal no damage, remember that, folks!

P.S. Did u know that we have 3 different kinds of Curse? U may have Green, Blue and Red skull above ur target, still have no clue whats the difference between them (U may get blue and red when use Hand of blight, i thought it was associated with the damage type (Necrotic, fire, etc.), but no).

About spark generation:
To clarify, how the hell these sparks generate, i say this: back in the days we had feature, when on EVERY critical hit our sparks were generating (When we had 50% crit chance) and we had that even on character list! Now it works this way:
- EVERY CRITICAL hit with at-will generates 1 soul spark, so, the faster at-will = the faster soul sparks will generate
- EVERY at-will generates soul sparks in its own way: Eldritch blast and those spirals ON HIT, Hand of Blight within MELEE range, Hellish rebuke ON HIT + for every DOT tick, Hellish rebuke ONLY ON HIT with NPNM class feature.
So, soul sparks WONT generate when ur, for example, Creeping death CRITS. A pity!
- DOT-ticks from Hellfire ring will generate soul sparks
- Hadars Grasp generates ONLY 1 soul spark even tho it hits like 6 times over time

Also, Creeping death from DIFFERENT warlocks DOESNT STACK, remember that! Only 1 warlock can apply it!

Also, whenever u are ready to deal burst damage during artifact calls, PLEASE HAVE FULL 5 STACKS OF SOUL SPARKS since every stack PASSIVELY increases ur damage!
this is basically what i use, curse bit feels way better in aoe fights (you kill mobs faster too) and hadar's grasp allows you to be further away from the boss too. I don't know if i'm a bova hater but i rarely use it, maybe if i'm playing as a healer i will use it on the tank during boss fights but that's it.

I asked about passive damage increase from 5 Soulspals, but he didn't reply yet. I've not really played my Warlock for a long time, but I agree with your post, although I tend to use just Fire damage as I prefer the concept to Necro. And for solo play, it works well. And my Tiefling Warlock is called Consequence of Flame, so it works well for her! I also use the Puppet to boost dps. She's the sister of my Cleric Healer, Refractions of Dawn, and the Assassin Negation of Oblivion, and Wizard Strangeness of Quark.

@@ansfridaeyowulfsdottir8095 Im not in game right now but can tell that full 5 stacks of soul sparks increase ur damage by 7.5% (Approx), so, the more u have during artifact call, the more damage u deal.
Also, about Soul investiture: if devs DIDNT fix it (I highly doubt they did), then Hadars grasp DOES NOT resummon ur soul puppet whenever u try to do so, thats why i said u MAY get 2 or even 3 stacks of Soul investiture, but then Puppet will 100% vanish and u have almost no time to resummon her and gain another stack. It CAN be possible only with high Charisma stat + Dragon heart artifacts set + ur Forge box, so, technically anything to boost ur encounter power CD reduction
@@lonelywastelander I hope you realize the dot on Helfire ring summons a soul puppet each time. So that's easy 5 stacks of soul investiture..

A few years ago, different classes got different buffs from their stats.
EG Cleric got Crit from STR, Warlock and others got Crit and a Companion boost from CHA.

Have you found a work around for that? Seems like you'd have to double tap the encounter power button to get the GTAOE to fire and can't use the LMB to drop it if it's tied to animation cancels.
yes, you just have to double tap hellfire ring, or change it, so it just insta casts in options
otherwise just use a different button that the left mouse button for your left at-will
What weapons do you go for now that there arent any seal weapons on the seal trader?
Airhorn you cannot canceled using them at the you describe on consul you don’t have any ADF movement you move with a joystick. You’re either pushed the joystick upper down right or left. You can’t push it right and left at the same time or upper down at the same time.
Encounters: hellfire ring, fiery bolt, killing flames from beginning to endgame. Or hands of hadar (on mobs), fb and kf. At wills: Eldridge blast, hellish rebuke, feel free to use hand of blight up close if you have a tank that keeps aggro (i personally use Eldritch blast and hand of blight). Im a fan of soul scorch feat and the feat that goes with it reducing cool downs. Comps: i luv an augment, baby displacer beast is great (active AND slotted) or go with a green slime. Chult tiger is good for bosses only really. I personally always stayed in combat advantage on any dps toon im using (on the sides or behind) so intel and charisma worked fine for me. Soul scorch with the reducing cooldowns feat, always great imo. Im not sure of the cost, but the older dragon artifacts, giving 10% cooldown worked for me even at endgame but im guessing they shouldn't cost much at all. Im a dps, i play with team i have, i dont run ahead of the tank and wait till they have aggro, so ive never found use for a soul shield, cursed burn ftw. Dust to dust always slotted, but you have options, i liked flames of empowerment or the feat where at wills auto apply curse. I personally liked the starshard set, the bonus was good for both the dps and the healer and the artifact is nice from beginning to endgame. Happy hunting
you would be surprised how much damage blades of vanquished armies actually deals. Feel free to test. It can be your 2nd highest damage encounter.
@@Aragon- I spend most of my time ranged so it wouldn't work for me personally. The few times I've used it, I gave it to the tank or another non ranged, lower IL DPS. Maybe one day I'll use it, I'm always tweaking and playing around with my warlock. Thnx for the suggestion
You use an augment, stay ranged, and use HOB? Bruh. No, lol. You can do way better not using HOB
@@mayn90s19 I don't always stay ranged, like I said, once I'm sure the tank has the aggro, then I'll move in and use hob and if i have the time ill switch to flames of empowerment. All situational. That one of the the things I luv about Neverwinter, there's more than one way to do things
@0Jsays Augment you're already losing damage. Hand doesn't even give soul sparks in ranged, the tool tip is bugged. If you ranged at all, hand is garbage.
Funny enough, I main a Warlock, and Never had my feats set up this way, I usually used the perma ghost and let it be my primary cooldown. But I'll give this set up a try.
Ive also never used Dust to dust, I took all-consuming curse, for the synergy with Warlocks curse. Since you do more damage to cursed enemies, why not curse everything and curse them nearly permanently. :p
Too many damage buffs. Diminishing returns makes D2D actually give like 2% damage. Use ACC+NPNM, or ACC+DC
Are the feats the same for AoE and single target? I have loadouts for both so I want to get the most out of each one, and is it also a problem if I change the rotation a little? I always used Hadar's Graps for single targeting and Arms of Hadar for AoE, Blades of Vanquished armies never really pleased me, and also in single target, wouldn't the SSC artifact be an even more interesting option due to its burst?
Hadar is bad, stick to this and you LL do the best damage. Can use curse bite instead of blade for more multi target burst damage
@@Aragon- One more question, do you have a full end-game build focused much more on pure burst? I want to follow a build religiously like I used to, but there are no longer sites like mmominds for me to do that, so I'm kind of blind, early game and mid game isn't much of a challenge, I want to know the best of each thing I need and buy each one little by little

I think I already said this, but Ponto don’t have all the whole movement keys your name, keyboard keys like these never seen a consul controller. The movement is controlled by one joystick camera by the other joystick you can’t hold down to see so there has to be a differently, animation cancel

I think I slightly disagree with the stat priority. I think Crit strike is a lil more important then crit severity, whats the point of a severity if it barely happens, ya know? and for the hellbringer paragon forte boosts power, crit strike and awareness so I think awareness is the one defense stat you should focus on Would like to know anyone's thought on this!

Marilith is best if nobody else in the team is using it.
For warlock, Scintillant set is best, followed by mythallar
I think I'm missing something that everyone knows... but why do you say that Blades perform better with low crit evasion stat? Can't see any hint for that in skill info🤔
I always wanted a Hellbringer Warlock that used only flame damage, with no necro. I managed to get one, but I don't like *No Pity, No Mercy* as I like the DoT.

Critical severity will give more damage than the forte and recharge speed from Charisma.
However when you get critical severity, then ofc switch back to Charisma so you don't waste stats

Oh right, yeah. You need to change the evaluateleftclick to whatever the right click at-will is called. You can see it in the keybind section. It's like Powertrayexc 1 or something. On my phone atm, cannot check

yes, you can string encounters together, and have them all on one button, for example: /bind Q "+powertrayexec 2$$+powertrayexec 3$$+powertrayexec 4"
does this macros still works ? my charecter keep moving to diffrent dirction every time i cast my atwill, and how can i remove the macro if i dont need to use it anymore?
It still works. Just don't hold the movement keys while using it.
Otherwise just go to options and change your keybinds

you mean turn it off? You can just type unbind, instead of bind. Or you can just re-bind that key to something else in your keybinds page
I did this rotation and no purple orba pop up. Threw encounters got full green orbs used soul scortch and no purple orbs in 3 rotations appear. Any idea what could be wrong😂 if i tap dark helix once it summon a purple orb but thats all i can seem to figure out how to do it. If i tap it again it uses it. I see you used hellfire ring got 3 instant mine gives none i have same feat setup you do.
You only get those orbs when you kill enemies. Don't worry about it. It's just a little bonus

You know you don’t have moving keys on a consul right you said on console or PC but you just move with the joystick

Don't bother with enchants at this level. It will only matter once you get to endgame and it will change based on what gear you get. So you'd need to look for an up to date endgame build and what they use
Usually garnet in utility, lightning flash combat, doesn't matter for defense and for offende that depends on what gear you have
Don't you get more damage from all sources depending on how many Soul Sparks you have? Not just for casting Sunscorch?

you get 0.25% damage per soul spark. Consuming them to gain 3s cooldown reduction on your encounters is usually a lot better than holding them

Yes, each large spark is 6 small sparks, and for 30 Sparks that's +7.50% damage. The Soul Scorch still costs 3 of the stacks of 6 sparks to reduce CD, leaving you with 2 Sparks for passive damage.
I've not tested it, though, to see what gives more dps overall. I do not use the Soul Scorch feat, I have a triple-buffed Puppet.

They ruined the Fighter with Mod 16 and other changes since. It used to be such a fun class to play. Iron Vanguard was Solid as a Rock and hit like a truck in PvP. Swordmaster was not so good. Now, Vanguard is a good Tank, but Dreadnought I just don't like.
Splitting the roles so hard is what did it. I hate all the animations on the Dreadnought, it's just not fun to play, and now the Vanguard can barely kill a bunch of kobolds in Summer Festival.
They really need a MAJOR overhaul on the Fighter. Mod 3 was it's peak. The night before Mod Shitsteen, Nerfermount-Tard started, I took my Mod 3 Build Iron Vanguard to solo Castle Malabog one last time.

@Aragon- D2D is garbage because you already have tons of damage %. Soul invest, warlocks curse, probably your gloves, artis, list goes on. Dust 2 dust isn't really giving a warlock 5%. More like 2%. Much better using NPNM and all consuming curse. Switch no pity on single target for Deadly Curse if you can get combat advantage. (Boss sits still and tank doesn't move much or scorpion on the map)
Dark helix over eldritch for AoE? No way. Maybe for a single target, but most bosses now aren't truly ST.
Killing flames can do 1.5mill easily with a very low cooldown. Even in AoE the best encounters are HFR, Blades, and KF.
Power and Combat advantage are the same thing for warlock using NPNM.
Stormforged are beast weapons in AoE if you can time it probably. Not enough time to get stacks on lolth, and mirage doesn't have enough time to really perform.
I know this is a budget build, so why even talk about the demo set? Go straight for mythallar, switch to scintillant of course after you have the diamonds for it. Shroomwood amulet is way cheaper and still gives the bonus with accuracy and recharge.
Also on AoE you don't want creeping death. You want executioners.

Also I don't believe you properly tested your theories. If you have, feel free to share your test data. Mine comes from top performing warlocks in content such has Master Tiamat, master Gzemnid and Master demonweb pits.

I don't play on PC, so maybe it is flawed. But all of this has been tested in the warlock discord throughout the years. Unless they changed something recently, diminishing returns is still very real. Fiery bolt might do more damage when there's add rounds like miniboss in demonweb pits, lmao
@@mayn90s19 soul investiture is only for encounters and it is multiplicative. So d2d is actually the only thing worth using same as npnm even if you have scorp in party simply because you can generate sparks super quickly with hellish rebuke. The way the feats work right now deadly curse and all consuming curse aren't outperforming npnm and d2d. Dark helix is indeed pretty good for aoe fights to finish off the remaining ads since it does decent damage if max stacks. Eldrich is straight trash in both damage and range for aoe so I see absolutely no point in using it for anything.
Lastly, there is very little difference between running exec gift and creeping death in aoe. In mdwp for example, creeping death seems to be performing better in aoe than exec gift.
The rotation shown by aragon is a bit too basic and almost useless to do decent damage but I dont think this video is aimed towards end game players so it's fine since the actual rotation for st is way too hard for beginners and it'll make them give up lol.
My main dps character was a warlock for a long, long time. Then the wizard buff happened so I geared up my wizard to try him out. I never looked back. Warlock is an absolute JOKE compared to wizard. Sorry warlock lovers, facts.

I've been beaten by maybe 2 or 3 wizards in the new dungeon. It's not that big of a deal. Wizard is just way easier.

The Warlock is no joke compared to anyone. The Wizard has slightly more potential because it has recently been reworked and buffed, which the Warlock needs as well. However a good Warlock, in the right hands, gives a hard time to any Wizard.
