i was waiting for the moment when some of the ships goes full speed ahead and kills everyone in the ship because they didnt have to time go into deep sea state
Yeah was about to say, to the people on board the ship it was far too fast to see. They wouldn't have been pulled out of the ships through the vacuums, it targeted the nuclear reactors onboard the ship and to those onboard, it would have been experienced as the ship cores instantly nuclear detonating. It was moving so fast that the impact with the fuel of the fusion reactors was enough to cause the fuel to fuse, to give you an idea of just how fast it was moving. Row after row of ships core nuclear detonating as nobody could tell what was happening. Only the ship computers could even theorize as to what was happening, let alone see it. It was far scarier in that way in the books. It just looked like something was detonating bombs from within the ships, but it was just the droplet moving at impossible accelerations, with impossible momentum defying trajectories, with utterly nothing that could be done to harm or escape it.
Imagine the sensation when a magician moves their hand so swiftly that seemingly impossible things occur, leaving the audience puzzled and unable to comprehend how it was done.
After reading the book, now I understand it wasn't the droplet the one who destroyed the entirety of The solar fleet. It was the arrogance, egocentrism and ignorance of the future humanity the ones who managed its own doom.

@@slatealan7082 i literally just finished the book and the explanation is lackluster. There is no excuse for humanity being this stupid/naive. Even if they are overconfident in their own technology. Not a single bit of evidence has been presented to back up that trisolaris is friendly.
It was due to that all the fleets wanted to be a part of the engagement so that all had a fair chance at “victory”. It was a formation that pleased all the fleets. They were overconfident, as it was supposed to be just a “probe”. But the formation was not based on strategy at all, but just a political agreement between nations for equal access to front lines. Very stupid but considering how geopolitics play, not very surprising.
Really nothing you can do against an indestructible bullet that goes at absurd speed, lose no velocity even when doing sharp turn, and has 100% accuracy. Even if they dispersed the whole fleet accross the entire space system, they wouldn't be able to hide from it.
The Trisolarians did warn them "you are like bugs". A group of tribesmen can continue to develop spears and arrows, using the deadliest poison passed down by ancient wisdom but they can never win soldiers with rifles. There is always a higher peak than the highest mountain. This array may look stupid but I think even the most sophisticated one has no chance against Trisolarians. If humans are allowed develop it, it meant its completely harmless to Trisolarians. In Trisolarians' own words, they are not overly concerned with transitory triumph. I've read up till this droplet scene in the book and plagued by the same question since I started Dark Forest. "Why do humans keep assuming the Trisolarians aren't improving while they are?" Amazing work, adds a nice human element but according to the book most people on the ships where being cooked on impact before the fusion material even ignited
In the book, the droplet actually travelled so fast that not a single one any ships weapon actually scored a hit on it.
they did hit it, it just didnt affect the droplet one bit
Wasn't there a point in the story where the shipboard AI calculated that the only explanation was that the ships were firing on each other since an attacking craft with the capabilities of the droplet was impossible?
Yep
Yeap, but not AI, it 2 Chinese crew member
I believe it was the gunner of one of the ships who told a captain of another ship that the ships were firing on each other. At that point they were able to realize it was the tear drop. They fired at it but it didn’t do anything

Absolutely loved this! What a treat, to see this part of cixin liu's brilliant story brought to life so vividly :)
实际上cixin liu认为动画是三体非常好的表现形式,但他本人似乎对动画没有什么热情,更何况Minecraft动画
Very good animation!!! Its the best adaptation of this battle that I was saw
This is such a cool animation.
Spoiler 3rd book-
It is the best scene in this book next is the solar system collapsing into the 2nd dimension.
So far no one has animated how a dual vector foil looks like yet 😅
This animation should have more views.
This is exactly how I imagined it when I read it (except the minecrafty people ;p ). This video was so amazingly well made
Originally, The Three-Body Problem Season 1 was animated by some fans using the game Minecraft. It was very interesting and popular in China at the time, and then they invited some people to use 3D production software to make subsequent episodes. But the painting style still continues the style of Minecraft.
Super well-done, great work!!
For me this battle encapsulates in perfection that phrase that any sufficiently advanced race's technology would be indistinguishable from magic. This is it and the dual vector foil is by context hard to describe.
Hey thats actually how i imagiined it. Kind of looking like the space ship from Flight of the Navigator
Can't wait to watch this in Netflix show!
i guess this will be at least 2 seasons away......so 4 years? i hope they slow things down in future seasons, the first book was rushed so fast
where can i see this scene with the original audio ?
水滴,攻击物是水滴!
The shot at 04:48 is beautiful and horrific
yes, i imagined it exactly like that when i read it, hope netflix will make it right
Is this only one video or a movie?! I genuinely want to see it all

Just finished the trilogy. This is so well made!! Reminds me of an episode of Neon Genesis: Evangelion!!
I got more out of this than the entire first season of Netflix’s adaptation
"If I destroy you, what business is it of yours?"
brilliant work.
After reading the book, now I understand it wasn't the droplet the one who destroyed the entirety of The solar fleet.
It was the arrogance, egocentrism and ignorance of the future humanity the ones who managed its own doom.
“You’re bugs!”
I like how the ending referenced the death of Cutler Beckett in POTC 3

Do you know red vs blue where people use halo to create a story? This series started with people using minecraft to recreate scene from book 1 in season 1. And use actual animation but minecraft style for season 2. They still use minecraft is probably because of consistentcy.

Im sorry but the fleet formation and engaging the entire fleet was just moronic. Either way it would be destroyed, but could happen in a more realistic way.
If you read the book you should know why the the fleet formation are this moronic.
"Why do humans keep assuming the Trisolarians aren't improving while they are?" This stupidity is even more baffling.
everyone gangsta till the droplet arrrives

Strong nuclear force material, u can goole what is strong nuclear force. I cant explain it easily here.
To keep it basic, it's a really powerful and fast bullet that can turn
And it's harder than anything in the solar system by orders of magnitude. We don't have access to anything that can even scratch it.
