      mix like oil and milk is an established phrase, although it is well used here. a long established phrase although not as common as the phrase oil and water .

    My grandmother had a button tin too! So many neat old buttons. That was a while ago. One reason I like short stories is that an entire world is created in, maybe, 15-25 minutes. I will get your new book online.

    A great story . Many writers I have talked to confirm for me that is much harder to write a really short story that is really good then a somewhat longer one .

    Tony, I heartily enjoy your delightful works of art and enthusiastically anticipate future installments.
    By the way, I recently listened to the entirety of “Unreal City” in one day and I’m not even a fan of the vampire mythos. I simply could not endure an intermission.

    That was great!
    Thanks Tony.
    I love an old school story.
    Let me say also that it is an under rated pleasure to listen to someone whom understands context and pronunciation.
    Another reader (probably relying on A.I, got brazier and brazier muddled, thus leaving the listener with the image of a flaming bra!
    Most distracting in the case of a serious story.
    Cheers Tony.

    Tony, I pick up little bits of your personal history as I hear you comments at the end of these wonderful stories. I read something about Amazon leaving to a false conclusion that you had stolen a phrase on purpose from someone, perhaps a trademark phrase, and they had canceled all your agreements and contracts and we're no longer paying you the money you earned and cut you off in many ways. but in your comments here I appears that you are actually getting paid agree to find royalties for your books. Which is great. Is it someplace I can read about your dispute with Amazon a place you can link me to or refer me to

    • @ClassicGhost
      @ClassicGhost  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Amazon decide that when I used a certain phrase 'Choose Your Own Adventure" that it was in breach of copyright. The copyright owner (I'm not sure if it applied to me anyway as it was a US copyright) asked me to change it and that would be the end of the matter. I did, but Amazon would not listen to any of that and deleted all my work that I'd been publishing there since 2014. They didn't pay me outstanding royalties, but did charge me for advertising that contributed to those royalties. There was no way I could get any different response from the people at Amazon. It was like dealing with bricks. But I then went to publish through Ingram Spark and they have placed some of my books back on Amazon, ironically. So you can get them on Amazon if you buy them from Ingram Spark rather than me.

    Amazon is the employer of many elderly, uneducated, immigrant, deaf, handicapped and people on the spectrum. Each Amazon employee gets to manage their own schedule with their personal time off balance. Amazon offers tuition reimbursement, health benefits, dental, vision, and other benefits. Employees get to apply for transfers and there is even a 30-hour a week flexible schedule option that offers benefits.

    When the writer is also the narrator…does anyone understand how to use those words better?

  • @garybernstein3527
    @garybernstein3527 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    about 14 minutes and 53 seconds into the narrative, The Sexton stands to greet her. but how can he stand to greet her if he was not sitting down? he was walking and somebody behind him and he turned . At no point is it indicated that he stops standing. is it possible that I miss reading some sense of the phrase he stood to greet her? This was a distracting moment for me in a story that was actually even a little better than your high standard of excellence.
