    All of those things and the Model X is also almost twice the price. As an owner of the previous model Cayenne S, I'm glad they didn't change the styling very much on the brand new ones :)

    Really good review considering how short it was. I like your presentation style as well. Subbed and liked.

    Great review, especially since I live in Canada and own a Model S 90D. I'm looking to trade it in for a larger SUV (like the Model X) for my growing family but range anxiety is a real issue with all EV and we all know how brutal Canadian winters can be on a cold soaked battery. Summer isn't here yet but with all the new model 3 owners, I would expect more super chargers taken up on road trips outside of GTA (such as Port Hope, Barrie and Grimsby, Ontario). I'm seriously looking at this e hybrid as an option for the next 10 years until the charger infrastructure is more defined.

    Great review Zak, always looking forward to seeing you and the reviews. One pointer for your concern regarding the black glossy panels that you mention in many of your videos, would be to have a small good quality microfiber cleaner cloth. This idea has transformed it for me. I love black glossy panels now since I can have them cleaned in a matter of seconds. Cheers.

    Seriously when you’re driving, the last thing you want is to look down to find the right point to push the glass sensor. Buttons are the best , you just let your hand feel the button- no need to look so less danger

    I love the Porsche Cayenne, however, I just don't see the logic around a hybrid vehicle these days. (Twice the complexity, and more things to go wrong)
    When is Porsche bringing out a fully electric version?
    I believe Porsche is looking at bringing the Mission e Turismo out in 2019/20 - different, but that looks spectacular.

    Always interesting to see reviews from multiple youtubers generated from press events. The scenery and actual vehicles can be the same, but the reviewer interpretations (and camera vantage points) make the experienced videos unique.
    While the Cayenne is out of my budget range, I appreciate hearing about the vehicle details because the tech will eventually trickle down AND it is good to know about the higher grade components to understand what you are / are not getting in lower priced vehicles made for the unwashed masses.

    I look forward to seeing a Macan in E-Hybrid form. I've driven the new-gen Panameras extensively, including the new Sport Turismo, and I have a huge complaint about the new black control panel around the gear shifter that replaces all those buttons of the past: when the sun shines on it (and it will!), it can be blinding because it is too shiny. They need to make it a rougher matted finish to cut down on those reflections. There was never a problem with the old buttons reflecting sunlight into your face! I will have to have a cloth ready to put over the button panel there when the sun is creating huge reflection glare.

    Good review. Thanks Zak. Question; is it possible through the use of hybrid function, the internal combustion motor plus regenerative braking provides sufficient power to top-up the battery for the e-motors, in other words, you could drive this vehicle, and get some of the distance out of e-motors, without ever needing to electric charge?

    • @Motormouth...
      @Motormouth...  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can use regenerative braking and engine braking and save the charge for a time when you want to use it like stop and go driving

      My cousin owned a 4.4? V8 diesel Cayenne. The exhaust note was something else. Reminded me of a V8 petrol in a lovely old speed boat. Gorgeous note. The performance was extraordinary. I owned an Audi RS5 and it went great. But that (2017) diesel Porsche had way more kick. Simple Stephen test; there’s a right hand, climbing corner about 70 degrees, after a near stop near my house in rural New Zealand. If I kicked the RS5 in that stretch of roadway, it was fun but never challenging. You had to keep your wits about you but no big deal. I tried that approach in the diesel Cayenne one day and could have come to some level of grief. Way more kick than the normally-aspirated Audi V8. For what it’s worth

    I just wanna one thing.😪 If I had to choose between this Cayenne E-Hybrid with this spec and the Tesla Model X I would probably need a drink cause even though the Porsche is NOT green enough compared to the other I still have love like melted butter for the Porsche brand. I hate engine noise but I love the way Porsche makes you feel and the handling is unquestionable. 😪 Thanks for the review.

      According to the Porsche configurator on the Porsche USA site, 22-inch wheels are offered on all Cayenne models.

    • @michaeli1440
      @michaeli1440 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, those are the 21 inch.
      The 22 inch are a different design.
      Also, this is a e-hybrid, not ‘s’ e-hybrid.
      Otherwise a decent overview video.

      cba tiau There is plenty of room, battery packs can take almost any shape and can be inserted in the floor, even if they couldn't the fact the cayman has a frunk and a trunk leaves lots of room.
