A quick disclaimer - A lot of these videos use information from the witcher wiki, in some cases I do read directly from the pages, I do always make sure to include my own thoughts and other information I know myself, but I just want to make sure everyone is on the same page here. Even though I use information from the wiki, I do still create the videos, with time, effort and a lot of editing! The idea behind the lore videos is to present the information to you guys in a fun and more interesting way then you guys having to get the information from pages and read it yourself. If anyone isn't okay with this I apologise, but since day one I have always said where I get the information from. Thank you for reading.
The name is based on the Tordarroch branch (currently the senior branch) of Clan Shaw.
Tordarroch was the clan seat historically. The current chief of Clan Shaw is unique in that he is the only surviving chief from the ancient lineage.
The junior branch(es) have defaulted to Sir John Shaw of Tordarroch as the de facto chief. He is the second chief of the clan (after his father) since the chiefship was restored by the Standing Council of Scottish Chiefs after about 400 years of vacancy.
I have personal ties to this Scottish clan so when I saw a Skellige clan bearing some semblance to the real world clan I was totally stoked.
Love your channel. Great videos. Keep it up!
Thanks man!
I'm interested in this clan the most considering they're not as spoken of like the other tribes and that they're the only clan who isn't currently residing on their home island. Undvik as a whole is fascinating because of it's creepy atmosphere, the elven tower in the north and even the name Undvik is just cool. I don't know why but the island's shape looks a bit like Iceland :D
It's interesting because "undvik" means avoid or stay away in swedish and maybe norwegian too. Certainly raises the thought of "avoiding" the island because of the giant and the elven tower.
So true sir..
Reminds me of the 7th Voyage of Sinbad... having the isle of the Magician.. populated by monsters and ruins ..
Very Ray Harryhausen..
@@DustGamezX In Norwegian its Unnvik, so almost similar when i played Witcher 3 for the first time it was quite funny to me and i loved the detail.
The lord of Undvik is one of the most intriguing missions of the game tho.
It's awesome!
Casual Gamers - Joanna's witch hunter's armor is so sick..
Me, an intellectual - Excuse me, Enhanced Ursine Armor at that level is the best of the lot.
Hattori's sword and this armor were so bad man. Except ofc these missions unlock them as Master smiths which is needed for superior armors.
Aha bear armour does look so awesome
@@WitcherGeorge Yeah bear armor is cool and all, but it kinda makes me feel like Geralt is wearing a dress xD. Manticore armor though, that shit is suave, with Grandmaster Wolven gear being a close second in the coop factor.
you reckon Mark Hamill will be a good Vesemir in the Netflix series?
i think he would actually
he is kinda small at 5 foot 9 and kinda old at 66 but they could do worse
I honestly think he could, he has such a great acting diversity and would suit the role well I believe
first time on undvik i went the longest way possible - through urskar village and right into the mines. on some future walkthrough i started using lake to get faster to Hjalmar and eventually i tried to jump over the the chasm above Marlin Coast near where the wooden bridge leading to Dorve ruins was which is really the fastest way :)
also its possible to reach the tordarroch forge without going through the mines - above the mine entrance you can sprint jump right up there, get the tools and fast travel marker
Ah Nice!
would of been cool if we could of found a way to reason with the giant, perhaps involving a few cases of mead and a roast sheep or two
You really think one or two sheep's would satisfy the giant and he eats people so geralt won't do it
@Dranzer - I disagree, remember the singing Trollolo Troll who ate a bunch of soldiers and villagers who killed each other? We had the option to resolve things with him peacefully.
I feel like this giant was too driven, but you never know
Thought they were following Odysseus..
And his men being trapped by a cyclops..
where are my fellow Nords at
Yo
Gone by 2100, if you guys don't wake up and fight the Jewish world order.
@@delltawnnorthri7459 bruh calm down lol, there's no jewish world order
@@mrblackandwhite5104 There is, my cousin took a loan from them but he couldn't pay it off since he's not working rn and they came in to his house and ripped off his finger nails, 2 on the left hand and 1 on the right.
@@Hacker_Kamyko Cool
Thanks!
Really wanted to learn something more about Tor Gvalch'ca - the Elven ruins on Undvik where the main quest finale takes place. Do you know anything about them?
love, there's clan video keep it up
Thanks man!
Wait, wasn't there a tree in the mine? So maybe the tree/trees does have more meaning to the clan.
I mentioned the tree!
I'm really enjoying your vids.
I discovered this Channel a two days ago and man was i amazed. Been listening to the vids all morning during work ✌🏽
Greetings from Switzerland
Thank you man! Glad you like it.
Hey just noticed something. You got the quest to get the master tools from undvik but then you help kill the ice giant, then allowing the clan to come back. So just by that. Did Geralt technically steal the tools? What if they were unique and the clan couldn't remake them? So no longer will master armor be made in Undvik. It will now be from Crows Perch, Velen? Interesting. .🤔😅😡☻
Good point, I didn't actually think of that aha
No way! Mark Hamil don't look tough enough to be vesemir I heard other people say Jeff bridges, he will do
very possible!
Clan Haymae please!!! They seem to be really connected with nature.
Good idea!
Also, might the tree be something similar or connected to Yggdrasil?
Possibly!
1:55 did what with his bare hands!?!?
Dorf is the german word for Village
The ice giant must have disliked no normal minded person would 😮
1st you lame drowers.
noo
Would a witcher taste like shit if you ate them
I couldn't say aha
