    Your tanks look great. Happy to hear your channel is doing well. Unlike a lot of people rainbow fish are not a fish I would purchase for my tanks. That said, you do have some beautiful colors. Cory's on the other hand are one of my favorite fish. Glad to hear your breeding projects are doing well. You can never have to many Corys! Thanks for sharing your tanks.

    Hello. Hey your large community tank of different rainbows looks AWESOME with the way you have it stocked. You get a variance of color and shapes and sizes which keeps your eyes busy watching all the gorgeous fish that you have. Nobody wants to look away. I could watch that tank all day. You did a great job with it. So don't change a thing. Well, except the carpet plants. Changing the front to sand will bring your corys out more. Especially at feeding time. And that way you can keep an eye on them to make sure they're healthy. Thank you for sharing it with us. It's beautiful.

    I got my 7 Chindongo Saulosi from Imperial Tropicals as well. That was back in May 2021, so they'll soon be 3 years old. All seven are still doing great! I ended up with 4 males and 3 females.

    • @sydneysangels
      @sydneysangels  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nice! I am really happy with the quality of fish I got too. Is that considered a good ratio? Do you have any issues with aggression?

    • @michaelhaines3451
      @michaelhaines3451 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sydneysangels 4 males and 3 females worked out okay. I've since added 2 more females, so currently have 4M/5F in a species only 75 gallon. Unfortunately have only one male in that tank fully colored. In my grow out tanks, many males have full color at the same time. Saulosi are definitely male heavy -- I'd say 75% or greater grow out to be males. I've had aggression in grow out tanks, even to the point of death, almost always subdominant males, females are not harassed too bad. My goal is to get a 6-foot, 125 gallon for my breeding colony, and add females to get around a 4M/15F ratio.

    You can definitely put plants in with these fish. I watched an episode of MD Fish Tanks. He is all about the scaping of tanks with different kinds of fish. And he did one with Mbuna. He put Anubias and some other plants in it that the fish are not bothering at all. I'm so sorry that I can't remember all of the plants that he used. But you could look up his channel and find the episode with these fish and see the plants be used. Your tank looks fantastic. Thanks for sharing it with us. And good luck with the plants.

      @@sydneysangels Oh your most welcome. I'm so glad that my tip can help. I'm always leary about giving tips because I don't want to come across in a bad way to a knowledgeable fish keeper who already knows what I'm saying. You know? I don't want them to think that I'm treating them like a dummy. Because that's not what I intend at all. Because I'm a firm believer that we can learn something new every day. Even if we're experienced fish keepers or not. But that's just me. 😊

      with mbunas it is a 50/50 chance wether plants like anubias work

    pretty cool fish room ... looking forward when you make the move to the bigger room and your future breeding projects. I'm currently watching your videos on my tv and learning stuffs while I'm typing this lol
    I just got a few 10gallon tanks recently ... currently trying to decide to get a metal rack or build a diy wood stand/rack and also figure out what fishes I should breed for profit to help pay the hobby a little lol

      I dont know which livestock direction I should do since I got limited space at the moment. One option I thought of is doing neo shrimps, blood mary tank, another sellable colour and a culled tank
      the wood rack is cheaper cost comparing to the metal

    • @sydneysangels
      @sydneysangels  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ToughTrainerK I like the shrimp idea. They seem to do really well in a 10 gallon tank by themselves. I've been breeding tons of yellow shrimp in a single 10 gallon and it's really cool to see so many babies swimming around the tank. For sure, wooden racks are cheaper if you have the time to build them and stain / paint them!
