These men are legends. Kids in the Hall is one of the most important things that ever happened to comedy.
The Kids in the Hall, especially Scott Thompson, are the most important comedians of my lifetime.
Buddy Cole and the Kids saved more lives and inspired more young people than they'll ever know.

I agree, their impact in the late-eighties and into the nineties was profound, perhaps maybe even changed the culture to some extent.

Great band, only thing like them in America, was Nickelodeon's Polaris, and in-house band comprised of similar musicians of similar music. They did the music for basically everything live action 90's nickelodeon, as well as some animated work. Anyways, a good house band, is the only way to complete a great package.

Hopefully they remain as brilliant as they were in the past. Seeing them in interviews and other projects over the years give me the feeling we are in for something really special. Provided the fun police don't ruin it.
These guys were such a huge part of my childhood....I still remember their opening theme song like it was a nursery rhyme lol ....loved the Kids in the Hall...my older sister's and brother did too...such an underrated sketch show.
There are four main influences that shaped my sense of humor when I was growing up: Monty Python, The Simpsons, MST3K... and the Kids in the Hall. If you get a chance to see them live, you've gotta do it. I've never laughed so hard in my life.
Saw them live wasn't too impressed. Their prerecorded skits are a hoot tho
Same for me, but I replace MST3K (which I really liked but only saw a few times) with The State.

The new season is so good. Totally beat my expectations! And it felt like a warm blanket too. Good to have em back. Such geniuses.
Way better than expected (unlike the underwhelming Mr. Show reboot) but I gotta say, the other Kids should NOT have agreed to Scott's requirement for so many scenes of [twigs and berries]!

OMG! This makes me so happy. Grew up watching them in Buffalo, NY on a Toronto TV station. They're truly iconic Canadian comedians! 👏👏👏
I remember as a kid in the US hearing about this great sketch comedy show done by a Canadian comedy troupe. Then suddenly it was on HBO and I was on the school bus singing about smoking on night trains and chewing on some jelly rolls. Such a great show. That and The State were both ahead of their time
Also from Buffalo and KITH was a staple in my sense of humor. Caught it on HBO, then CTV. ❤️

I grew up watching them! I’d stay up past midnight in middle school every time they were on. Recently showed my mom one of their skits and she smiled and said that she now knew why I am the way I am!😂

I agree. But why say "even" News Radio was good? I would argue its the best post KITH project by one of the actors. Honestly, its probably in my top 10 favorite sitcoms. It was so good, it made Joe Rogan and Andy Dick seem funny. Lol
I am SO EXCITED about this reboot (unlike most others)!!! Not only one of the greatest troupes in N. American history but yet another show of valuing more than youth in entertainment 🎊🎉🎊

They haven't missed a beat. Characters and topics as on point as ever and deliciously delivered...
I look at them now and am convinced that they are still young, and that everyone is doing a bit where they’re playing an older version of themselves.

A fantastic group of punks indeed. Had the pleasure of meeting them for a bit after their live show in RO, Michigan. I’ll never forget how kind and funny they were even after the performance. Such an influential group of funny people. Friggin’ legends eh? Yah eh?

Was lucky to see a Kids in the Hall show live in Kansas City when they did a tour in the late 90's. All of them are brilliant. Scott Thompson is in a fun musical duo called Mouth Congress, who just released an album. All five guys are a perfect tandem...Glad this reunion is happening.

They set the sketch comedy bar for me, hands down. Their perfectly weird random unpredictability and consistently solid writing sealed it. On occasion when SNL makes the grade (like when Adam Driver is on for some reason), I call it Kids In The Hall level 👑

As a child of TV, I fall asleep to TV noise. For months now, it has been Superstore. In honor of Phil, and his contribution to Dave’s career, I am going to go through News Radio again. I was saving it, and this seems the perfect time.
My fiancee recently got into "Superstore". I legit DID NOT recognize Mark McKinney in the show til a few episodes in when I started actually paying attention to the credits. It's been a while, and hadn't seen him in anything else, so it was oddly a pleasant surprise. Definitely check out NewsRadio again. That show really was ahead of its time.

I'll always remember how hard they made a seven year old me laugh when I'd stay up to catch their show on CBC.
The new season is a wonderful embrace of their age and the spectacle of reviving familiar characters in their 60s. It's different--they can't be the same troupe they were. Mark does some weird, surreal bits that I really like. I feel as though once again they are pushing the envelope of sketch comedy.

remembering my high school years of taping KITH off Comedy Central every night and watching when I got home from school. 30 Helens agree.
I am such a huge fan of the show... I was just a kid then... We need more laughter in this world.
Never had HBO as a kid, but ended up seeing a sketch a hotel on vacation of French fur trappers hunting office workers…
My folks changed the channel “so fast” as legs were caught in bear traps, but I was entranced ❤️

Since I loved them in the early 90s I have become dead inside and feared the new stuff wouldn’t amuse me but I totally laughed at the 60 on the pole sketch
Saw the KITH live show in Detroit back in the 90’s and was nothing short of comedy brilliance.
I remember watching Kids in the Hall in the 90’s…and I remember thinking “wtf is this…?!” and then it went down a rabbit hole and went to a place that I could never even imagined. The chicken lady making dinner for her date?!!! “Straight out of my body and right onto your plate.” I’m glad that a whole generation of people can experience the Kids in the Hall. 💕

TKITH was the best show when I was in High School. I still watch them once in awhile and they're still hilarious.
No lie: my only happy memories with my mother are of events I planned. I took her to see The Kids when they did the reunion tour.
During the 90’s, there were few feminist voices from men, and almost everything The Kids have ever done is feminist. They are the sexiest group of men I can think of off hand.
