I have a perma banned account. I had around 11 chat restrictions and 3 two week bans before the perma. It was never for trolling or inting i never do that. It was all chat related. And no i didn't say over the top racist or insulting shit. I even stopped using curse words very soon after i realised my account was being watched closely. I got chat restricted and banned for saying things like "my team is useless", "report my singed and ryze botlane, they even said they were trolling". Imagine that. Getting banned for asking to report 2 trolls who stated in chat they were trolling. So i made a support ticket to riot. Know what they said? They said that me asking to report the trolls creates a negative atmosphere in the game so it IS banable to ask for reports. The banning system is actually garbage. Now i have a new acc where i dont even use chat anymore and i'm honor level 2 already(started from 0). But i lost interest in the game a lot and don't care as much so ocasionaly when a match is clearly lost and my tesm won't ff i'll start trolling and inting but not in an obvious way and guess what riot never punishes you. You can be an asshole in game as much as you want they don't care. They only care about the chat. Sorry for making this shit so long

Well, I should have said more... Yeah, he plays it for money, but at the same time, you can tell he fucking hates it and it is more or less an addiction. Streamers are employed by Twitch, they must stream and play games all the time to make money and to eat. I was unemployed for a period of time (6 months), living off savings, investments, etc., my only job was, "looking for a job", it SUCKED. I get that some people can actually play games 100% of the time, but it is not for the faint of heart. People joke about being casual, but playing 12-15 hours is like being addicted to hard drugs. It sucks. I played WoW for ehh 12+ hours a day, slept maybe 5-6 hours a day, maybe played guitar 1-2 hours a day, and sent out resumes. Playing games all day is a weird feeling, it will become a lifestyle that, it truly is all that you can think about, and all you can think about is the progression in one way or another. Plus, it is terrible on your body, so, I do not recommend, to anyone. It reminded me of when I used to use drugs. I am not at all kidding.

i uninstalled the game because of a very similar thing that happened last night to me in a game. i picked bard support, which is my main role and champ(57% win rate). and because i didnt pick master yi on champ select for our jungler, he picked soraka with ignite and then our adc decided to "punish" our troll jungler by picking graves adc. just because i didnt want to lose the game i picked smite and the game started. no remake. and you know what happened at the end game? everyone flamed me for picking bard jungle and feeding/trolling and i got reported. i put my best effort to win games and then i lose lp because of this shit and also get punished while real responsible of this goes unpunished. im so fucking sick of seeing my efforts go to waste by some fucking troll. this is it, im done with league.

i just got a troll in my game, my whole team reported him. i got a chat restriction. :) after an hour and a half, i got no instant feedback notif so he got away with it. this is a diamond 2 game in euw.
Instant feedback reports don’t always pop. Riot decides to show it to calm down a player if they’re legitimately attacked or harassed to show them that these actions do not go unpunished. For example, normally I put “how can you allow this in your game, riot?” Then they pop it.

There needs to be an exit clause somewhere, where your team has the right to "re-make" in case of a player who's trolling. Rather that be during the champion lobby, or the first 2 minutes of the game. Have it be a 4-1 vote... I can't tell you how many times I went to my promos and someone decides to troll, and there's NOTHING I can do about it. Riot needs to fix this issue....
You can have the right to vote, but that means the rest of your teammates have to favor the re-make as well. There not gonna vote yes just because one guy feels like he's being countered. This is my only consideration for stopping trolls, I dunno how else to go about it, but I'd feel fine with this method.

Over 2 years playing, got in trouble twice in a month and they perma'd? over 2 years with no bans - you say none of that matters? I've played LoL for over two years. I always tried to keep a positive attitude in any game I play, but League broke me. It's the only game that has made me rage, and I think the game itself is fine, but there's always one person on either team that hard trolls and either makes the game an insta-lose with no hope of recovery or an unsatisfying win. I wish Riot would start IP banning players that constantly troll or looking into wintrading for Diamond+ games, where it's most prevalent and not a relatively huge pool of people. When I take a break to cool off from League and watch streamers that suffer similar issues it doesn't make me want to keep playing. I've taken a month break and still want to play, but I know the moment I get back on I'll hate it all the same. Hope it gets better.

Well, he's not wrong. Truth be told, I've only played league for about 2 years but even then, (in 2016) the game was much better than it is now. In my opinion, everything after (and including) the tank meta in 2015-2016 just progressively made the game worse as Riot started nerfing and buffing champs that didn't need changes, all the while adding unnecessary changes to gameplay just so the game doesn't lose its popularity. Pyke, the recent addition to this cesspool, is a "support" that has an execute ability for his ultimate... Yeah okay Riot, great job. Their system for banning is pretty much just a word finder for vulgar terms and they hardly take any action against players that actually ruin a game with the intention to (aka the soraka and malz, high ranking Challengers btw). It's honestly infuriating if you think about it: Riot introduced the option to mute players which counters the problem of toxicity but are banning people for typing bad words in chat? Why not just put together a better system for punishment rather than suck up to those players that can't deal with others flaming them because they're physically and mentally unable to find the mute button and click it? One thing that Tyler points out in the video is that the game is addicting and that is absolutely true. However, it's not addicting because it provides innovative gameplay or any of the sort, it's addicting because players (like me and many others) somehow have the slightest spark of hope, believing that for the next match, the game wouldn't be torture to play for once.

That rage at the end was so painfully genuine its sad. League is addicting as hell, and it's fucking awful at the exact same time. All it does is make you hate it more and more with each throwing teammate and scripting opponent, but you just can't turn it off.
I've been playing league for 7 years (2013-present) and i can tell you the different impact of League each year. Since 2018-2019 League has been decaying. Sure, tournament still gets a million viewers per semi and finals but it wasn't that "mainstream" anymore. Many people left the game, the game isn't fun anymore, it's competitive. It didn't have the fun it used to have in playing it. League has been tiring that's why other games topped it in viewership that's noticeable in any vlogging platform. This also why Riot's other game tops League (like Valorant, x6 the viewers (600k) as of now). It shows how tiring seeing people play League, over and over again, and shows how the game is dying.
My friend that was smurfing from masters gave some of his teammates advice in flex and he got chat restricted. He showed me the text which was literally "maybe you should build armor"

I have a perma banned account. I had around 11 chat restrictions and 3 two week bans before the perma. It was never for trolling or inting i never do that. It was all chat related. And no i didn't say over the top racist or insulting shit. I even stopped using curse words very soon after i realised my account was being watched closely. I got chat restricted and banned for saying things like "my team is useless", "report my singed and ryze botlane, they even said they were trolling". Imagine that. Getting banned for asking to report 2 trolls who stated in chat they were trolling. So i made a support ticket to riot. Know what they said? They said that me asking to report the trolls creates a negative atmosphere in the game so it IS banable to ask for reports. The banning system is actually garbage. Now i have a new acc where i dont even use chat anymore and i'm honor level 2 already(started from 0). But i lost interest in the game a lot and don't care as much so ocasionaly when a match is clearly lost and my tesm won't ff i'll start trolling and inting but not in an obvious way and guess what riot never punishes you. You can be an asshole in game as much as you want they don't care. They only care about the chat. Sorry for making this shit so long

Well, I should have said more... Yeah, he plays it for money, but at the same time, you can tell he fucking hates it and it is more or less an addiction. Streamers are employed by Twitch, they must stream and play games all the time to make money and to eat. I was unemployed for a period of time (6 months), living off savings, investments, etc., my only job was, "looking for a job", it SUCKED. I get that some people can actually play games 100% of the time, but it is not for the faint of heart. People joke about being casual, but playing 12-15 hours is like being addicted to hard drugs. It sucks. I played WoW for ehh 12+ hours a day, slept maybe 5-6 hours a day, maybe played guitar 1-2 hours a day, and sent out resumes. Playing games all day is a weird feeling, it will become a lifestyle that, it truly is all that you can think about, and all you can think about is the progression in one way or another. Plus, it is terrible on your body, so, I do not recommend, to anyone. It reminded me of when I used to use drugs. I am not at all kidding.

i uninstalled the game because of a very similar thing that happened last night to me in a game. i picked bard support, which is my main role and champ(57% win rate). and because i didnt pick master yi on champ select for our jungler, he picked soraka with ignite and then our adc decided to "punish" our troll jungler by picking graves adc. just because i didnt want to lose the game i picked smite and the game started. no remake. and you know what happened at the end game? everyone flamed me for picking bard jungle and feeding/trolling and i got reported. i put my best effort to win games and then i lose lp because of this shit and also get punished while real responsible of this goes unpunished. im so fucking sick of seeing my efforts go to waste by some fucking troll. this is it, im done with league.

Instant feedback reports don’t always pop. Riot decides to show it to calm down a player if they’re legitimately attacked or harassed to show them that these actions do not go unpunished. For example, normally I put “how can you allow this in your game, riot?” Then they pop it.

There needs to be an exit clause somewhere, where your team has the right to "re-make" in case of a player who's trolling. Rather that be during the champion lobby, or the first 2 minutes of the game. Have it be a 4-1 vote... I can't tell you how many times I went to my promos and someone decides to troll, and there's NOTHING I can do about it. Riot needs to fix this issue....

You can have the right to vote, but that means the rest of your teammates have to favor the re-make as well. There not gonna vote yes just because one guy feels like he's being countered. This is my only consideration for stopping trolls, I dunno how else to go about it, but I'd feel fine with this method.
They ban players permanent after any offense after their first 14 day ban. Like what? Over 2 years playing, got in trouble twice in a month and they perma'd? over 2 years with no bans - you say none of that matters? I lost promos after a 5 gm win streak bc trolls just like this instance with Tyler. I reported them and they did me. Since that was my 2nd offense ever, they perma'd bc RIOT don't care what the fuck happens as long as people arent cussing. I cussed out trolls NOT giving their full effort/being defiant and not grouping and got banned. Their loss. Glad to be done with it too. Its been months now.

I've played LoL for over two years. I always tried to keep a positive attitude in any game I play, but League broke me. It's the only game that has made me rage, and I think the game itself is fine, but there's always one person on either team that hard trolls and either makes the game an insta-lose with no hope of recovery or an unsatisfying win. I wish Riot would start IP banning players that constantly troll or looking into wintrading for Diamond+ games, where it's most prevalent and not a relatively huge pool of people. When I take a break to cool off from League and watch streamers that suffer similar issues it doesn't make me want to keep playing. I've taken a month break and still want to play, but I know the moment I get back on I'll hate it all the same. Hope it gets better.

Well, he's not wrong. Truth be told, I've only played league for about 2 years but even then, (in 2016) the game was much better than it is now. In my opinion, everything after (and including) the tank meta in 2015-2016 just progressively made the game worse as Riot started nerfing and buffing champs that didn't need changes, all the while adding unnecessary changes to gameplay just so the game doesn't lose its popularity. Pyke, the recent addition to this cesspool, is a "support" that has an execute ability for his ultimate... Yeah okay Riot, great job. Their system for banning is pretty much just a word finder for vulgar terms and they hardly take any action against players that actually ruin a game with the intention to (aka the soraka and malz, high ranking Challengers btw). It's honestly infuriating if you think about it: Riot introduced the option to mute players which counters the problem of toxicity but are banning people for typing bad words in chat? Why not just put together a better system for punishment rather than suck up to those players that can't deal with others flaming them because they're physically and mentally unable to find the mute button and click it? One thing that Tyler points out in the video is that the game is addicting and that is absolutely true. However, it's not addicting because it provides innovative gameplay or any of the sort, it's addicting because players (like me and many others) somehow have the slightest spark of hope, believing that for the next match, the game wouldn't be torture to play for once.

That rage at the end was so painfully genuine its sad. League is addicting as hell, and it's fucking awful at the exact same time. All it does is make you hate it more and more with each throwing teammate and scripting opponent, but you just can't turn it off.

I've been playing league for 7 years (2013-present) and i can tell you the different impact of League each year. Since 2018-2019 League has been decaying. Sure, tournament still gets a million viewers per semi and finals but it wasn't that "mainstream" anymore. Many people left the game, the game isn't fun anymore, it's competitive. It didn't have the fun it used to have in playing it. League has been tiring that's why other games topped it in viewership that's noticeable in any vlogging platform.
This also why Riot's other game tops League (like Valorant, x6 the viewers (600k) as of now). It shows how tiring seeing people play League, over and over again, and shows how the game is dying.
More than 40% of those Valorant viewers are just bots though.

This is the exact reason why I quit League. Riot only gives a shit if you call someone a retard in the chat, but anything else, like for example the ACTUAL GAME, is not their concern. That made me sad. I remember the golden times of League (2012, 2013, 2014) the game used to be so much better, and Riot actually gave a shit about the community.
I honestly find it sad watching Tyler sad these days, you can tell how much he hates league but he just keeps playing it. He’s so entertaining and noticeably more content when you see him play a game that isn’t league.
