@Jacques S You should be proud of her, my friend! She is every bit as good as all of the hype which precedes her, and then some!!! Fell head over heels for her sound 30 + years ago, slightly ahead of my marriage date. That made it all even better! God bless you, as well as Basia and her crew along with the nation of Poland!
Dobry pomysł i dobry wybór. Ryzyko jest takie, że ten piękny kawałek może się zacząć źle kojarzyć i któregoś dnia znudzić. Już tak miałem z niektórymi kawałkami, które bardzo lubiłem.

Basia was (is) a force to wreck with. I saw her in person -along with Peter While and Spyro Gyra-. Her voice sounded 10 times better and more powerful! A solid talent all around.
Love the late 80’s Sophistipop. Hope that Basia gets a percentage of the licensing royalties for this song. Over the last 35 years I’ve probably heard it in malls, stores, airports and elevators many times.
Yes, contemporary music lacks a coherent melody. That's why people like older music: it had a melody and you could hum the song. That's the gift of melody: hummable music!
This song as released in the 80s is a total masterpiece -- perfection in vocals, production, mix... so far above the standard that it took millions by surprise when they first heard it and remains lodged in their psyche to this day as a beacon of style, class, and mysterious positive energy. Many the troubled souls comforted and encouraged when this song found them in the late 80s...
@@raymondasay5207Agreed. Here in Poland we had no idea how big she was at the time. Everyone knew she had quite a success in the UK, Japan and the US, but I for instance had no clue she performed on Carson, Arsenio and Letterman until very recently when I saw those clips here on YT.
Today is the first time I have listened to your music. My son sent it to my SPOTIFY! You have a great voice and the music is really great. I came here(youtube) to dee if I could find a video wit you in it. Pretty!

I can't forget Basia, in the 80s and 90s She mesmerised me with her voice and songs, such a good singer! and coming from Poland was an additional interesting thing for me
This song brings me back to when I was first barely starting to appreciate music. I can't believe I'd forgotten about this song I can remember hearing and digging on the radio what seems like an eternity ago!!
Saw her live at the Majestic in Dallas the same day that "Time and Tide" was certified gold. This was what she opened with. Packed house, scalping tickets outside. The look of shock on her face when she walked out onstage was golden. A co-worker had seen her a few weeks ago while vacation in New York and he'd said there were a lot of vacant seats. I believe she performed every song on the album, and the audience sang along to each one. She also performed some from the upcoming "London, Warsaw, New York" ("Baby You're Mine," "Best Friend," and "Until You Come Back To Me").
Must add a voice to this.Basia voice and sound is sooo beautifull and the world is a better place because of the great sounds of the great women in music.
Love this 2024 ❤❤❤
Real music of the 80's.... still enjoying it in 2024...

All three are STILL at the top of their abilities. I've been watching online jam sessions by Swing Out Sister recently, this past year.
