I have the same bike, but with the tubular bars which takes the weight off your wrists. It's not flickable like your M but the trade off is it's very stable and you'll scrape the pegs before the pots touch. The screen isn't much use and many swap it for a MRA or Puig one. The QS isn't the best but you get used to it and once you do it's quite useful. Overall it's a bit of a "Gentleman's sports tourer" and is surprisingly quick for real world riding due to all that torque, it's not perfect but it's a very nice bike none the less.
@@Bazza47 100% couldn’t agree more with you and Thankyou for the information ☺️ it is a fantastic bike for sure! I didn’t have much time with it but I’m sure if I did have more time I would have enjoyed it even more. Nice to know the casings won’t touch the ground 🤣
@@MotoGirlNikkiThe only time my cylinder heads have touched the floor on a boxer is when I dropped my GS years ago, but I didn't damage them thanks to the engine bars. I now have MachineArt X heads fitted to the RS should I ever do it again😮 you can get an Akropovich silencer for it but they're around £900 🙈
Thank goodness for them bars 🤣 what a terrifying moment! The price for an Akra is pretty standard these days, I think for a full system of most bikes is about £4K
These engines are all about the torque. Swoop through a bend and just roll on the power and away you go. Brilliant A road Bikes. Definitely best in dynamic mode, there's a bit of a hole in the power when in road mode. The buffeting from the screen is a well known problem with the RS's. It was hoped that when BMW redesigned the front end on the 1250 it would stop the buffeting that the 1200 was famous for but it didn't change.😢 And yes the quick shifter is crap. First to second don't bother, second to third big clunk, third upwards OK'ish.😂 As you say, a big ol' bus but the more you ride them the more they endear themselves. Was it strange getting back on your Bike? Anything that you preferred on the RS compared to yours?
Thanks for the comment, extremely helpful! ☺️ The screen was for sure not my favourite. It hit me in all the wrong places. It did feel really strange getting back onto my bike for sure 🤣 I love the fact the RS has a gap from when you turn the bike off to opening the fuel cap, you don’t need to grab the key, it’s all keyless which on the M i have to do it manually. It’s not soo much of an issue, it was handy that’s all 🤣 Also the RS is extremely comfortable!
Such amazing roads! Great bike. Thanks for taking us along!✨
Thanks so much for the comment ☺️ I appreciate you taking the time to watch
