That’s my cheese sauce sir, I can tell you what the extra ingredient is…. LOVE! We all cook with love!

I’m not a fan of Hot Browns, but willing to try one from time to time. Appreciate the quality reviews! Haters gonna hate, enjoy what you know to be good!
@@OnthetrailwithCatHead thank you! I appreciate that.
Food looks delicious and the building is beautiful. Thanks for another great review!!!😊

What a cool place. You really present some interesting places. Food looked tasty. Thanks Barry, much appreciated
@@johncornell3665 thank you.
I went there last August, and as I do, I try Hot Browns at any place that offers it. I will say it's the best one I've had outside of Louisville. I might even put it number two next to Lou Lou Food & Drink in St. Matthews (Full disclosure: I haven't had the original at the Brown Hotel yet). If you're looking for a great Hot Brown, as I often do, you will not be disappointed. The atmosphere and the history of the place are really nice too. Don't forget to check out their candy on the way out. Lot's of good stuff there!
I missed out on the candy.
Looks really good have to try it sometime. Great review as always

I think I may have to make a return trip from Michigan to your area. It's time for a hot brown! Nice review, Barry.

I love too and I had a grandma Irene as well. I have been missing you and your family and the videos. I have been in the hospital and had 3 operations on my foot in the past month. I have been battling an infection .But it surely was comforting and good to see good food and listen to your knowledge of food and history. God bless you and your family.
I’m sorry to hear about your foot. I hope you are getting better and on the mend. It’s good to know my videos bring you a little comfort. God Bless.

So glad to see this review! I just want to remind you about doing one for Tony York's on Main in Glendale. Hello again - thank you for the response to my earlier comment about Tony's on Main. At one time we, like you, thought it was an exclusive establishment for members only because of the words "Supper Club" on the sign outside. One day we decided to go in and check it out, and we were greeted warmly be the receptionist and seated promptly in the dining room. The tables were covered with white table cloths, and the service and the food was excellent! Tony, the owner came to the table to greet us, and despite all the white table cloths and fancy glassware, he is a country boy and could not have been more personable and interested in our opinion of the food abd service,
Don't be misled by the sign - it is open to the public, and I know you would love the food! and Tony would love to meet you!
@@user-xd7bo1nh8g thank you for taking the time to give me the facts. I’m definitely going there. Is there a dress code?

Hey Barry. You didn't seem to have your usual appetite today? Hope all is well. I got the feeling you weren't blown away by the beans and even the hot brown. I felt you were being quite reticent and without your usual gusto about the food. Ah, you just said it was your 4th lunch! That explains everything!
@@pbfh7411 I was having a technical nightmare. Microphone batteries were dying. Phone/camera was dying. That was my fourth lunch of the day by the way. I videoed three lunches in Munfordville and stopped at that place on the way home.

@@wcjones40 I didn’t notice.
I don’t get the big ass unsliced raw onion. Do Kentuckians not cook onions with their beans? Being South American we love our beans and rice. We always cook onions with our frijoles(beans) Colombianos. Or Feijoada( Brazilian bean stew). We would never add a raw onion after it’s done. It would over power the bean stew. I can see it maybe with spicy chili but not normal beans. Is this an American thing adding raw onions to cook beans to overpower the taste of the beans? If so why even make beans just eat the raw onion.
I like both.
camara to far get a close up of the food at the end gets better thanks
