    Thank you Toby for what you do for the future of speedway . Hope Sydney speedway can get this shit sorted 👌

    You are only looking at ticket prices, fans spend once in the track, if they are scared off by high gate prices they also take their food, drink, and memorabilia spending too, more fans = more dollars.
    The biggest issue I see with events like speedway/Motorsport, concerts, and other forms of entertainment is pricing themselves out of the market.
    Example at $40 each you may get 1000-2500 fans, where as at $20 each you are more likely to draw 5000-10000 depending on the night.
    Evidence is the pink nights $1 entry and having trouble to find a place to sit because the crowd was so big.
    1000x40= 40k
    5000x20=100k plus what they spend at the track.
    When karting was $15 for 15 minutes I used to go every 2nd week, now it's $30-35 for 15 min and I go once a year.
    High prices doesn't mean more income

      I believe the venue will not hold 10,000 people. Unfortunately Sprintcars want more and more money all the time which has to come from gate receipts.

    • @dwayne1655
      @dwayne1655 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@maccampbell8184 if they charge too much they will be lucky to get 2000 let alone sell out.
      I have been to many events at Parramatta and the only time it's was close to full was the pink ladies free nights, and gold coin entry nights.
      Let's take supercross in America as example, huge sport, big prize money, teams still pay to play.
      Supercars has team entry fees. The answer is not in driving fans away from the gate, unless they plan to kill the sport

    I'm from Vic but have everything crossed🤞🏼 that Sydney Speedway works this time! $40 for entry of a adult I feel is a bit of a stretch considering they'll want to be attracting familys etc but hey, if it works and the mass's come through the gate then go for it! Australia needs Sydney Speedway✅

    as much as people are trying, its hard to be convinced after seeing this. at least the track seems to be more in align for whats required but taking the shade sails away will detract return visitors especially with kids and i am perplexed how 110m is spent and no screen. theres probably no free wifi either so people can check there phones to see what the schedule is or the results.

      I have been a speedway fan my whole life and love the sport and people with passion...the sport has always been run with family playing a major role in how things progress,alot of what happens is due to families and friends being heavily involved and most of what happens is done on a voluntary basis....that being said my son spent 8+ hours at Sydney speedway yesterday helping with track preparation,mowing lawns and generally helping to do whatever he could to help try and get this place up and running asap...now he has a great love for speedway and has spent many nights and many dollars supporting his passion as have myself and most of our family and friends alike...that being said respect and general courtesy goes beyond dollars and cents and he returned home exhausted,dehydrated and hungry...when he asked so called track curator Willmington for some water he was told by said curator there was a tap over by the fence...now he knew going to the place to help out there was nothing in it for him other than the satisfaction of knowing he had helped in a small way to get the place running....Wilmington stated that he would do whatever didn't give him the "shits"to get the place running again...well track curator Willmington you might want to consider all those that have helped you do this because you certainly didn't do it alone,so get some respect and decency about yourself and treat people in the correct manner other than being a total ....hole...18n ps...good luck with the speedway, the people of Sydney need it....18n

  • @brianwalker1933

    My main concern is the fact that the spectators seats are too close to the catch fence.
    It doesn't take much for a high powered V8 Sprint car to go over the catch fence in a "freak accident" and into the crowd.

    • @maccampbell8184
      @maccampbell8184 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The chances of that happening there is virtually impossible. I was there opening night and with the catch fence it was top quality and the top pointed inwards so a car can't go over the fence.
      Seriously how many cars have gone over the fence in the past 20 years since the advent of catch fences???

    Track built in the wrong place. Parking for Competitors and Fans is piss poor. There isnt enough grassed spectator areas, seating is too close to the track.
