Great idea having different product tanks but how is the hose and gun cleaned between different chemicals? Do you need a spare tank just for water to flush out hose and gun?
Yep. That’s the exact way I’d do it. Have a fresh water tank
Call me paranoid but man would I be scared to just swap between fertilizers and herbicides.
respectfully yes that is paranoid. No need to be afraid to swap between the 2 as long as both products are labelled for the desired target. Now its very different if you were swapping between something like fertilizer and round up. Thats w9ulkd be an issue. @@sytch4me334
You look like your 8YO self at Christmas with this new equipment! 😂 I appreciate you and your passion for what you do - we benefit. Appreciate you, brother.
I have serial #1 of the Flowzone Typhoon for about a year. Excellent sprayer. Love it.
Love your channel just ordered one from you 2 gallon,

I really like the swap idea, especially the 2 gallon because it's backpack.
Great video love the storm sprayers
Letsgooo GCI turf fertilizer!!! We are ready bro!!
Last night it was raining and I went back to some of your earliest spraying videos. It reminded me why I got started spraying. You are a very good teacher. I think you tie everything in so well with the videos and the guides. Thanks Pete! Without you I’d be wandering around Lowes wondering how and what I needed to do when?
Appreciate you sir. I’m glad you see the big picture 💪🏻
Purchased the 2 gallon Storm from you Pete and took it for a run yesterday. Love it! My first power sprayer and it was such a great investment. It was fun! I look forward to your tip recommendations on this sprayer.
Still work good?
@@Man_in_a_Gucci_Suit yes it’s great.
If it was my first sprayer I would of deff got this. I got my eyes on a cart spray buddy but I wish the hose was self retracting and I only need 15G but the thought to be able to roll it around my yard and spray is nice.
Milwaukee has the same thing for over a yr. Theirs is prone to leaking apparently.
They certainly are. I gave up on my sprayer after 3 failed tanks.
Swap tank = GAME CHANGER!!!
Swap tanks seem gimmicky to me
Use what you have at the job site you can always dump your tank out and mix new product
Or maybe lawn care is different idk
Pete, I just saw your interview on the TV show road rage!!!
I hope they get back in stock soon I want one just for glyphosate, one for diydetail rinseless wash and one for my potted plants.
Will a Cyclone battery work in the 2 gallon?
Would be good for a spot sprayer.
I like the 2 gal wand so you can use T-jet nozzles.
Will the Typhoon battery fit in the 2-gallon sprayer?
Is it safe to using siding cleaner for houses in this? Or a bleach chemical for fences?
When is gci starting to ship the cart buddies? I placed order 2 weeks ago.
Is there any residual left in the tank after an application with these? One thing I didn’t enjoy about the cyclone 3 was I always seemed to have about 8oz left before the pump struggled to get the rest out. I’d never end with a depleted tank because the pump couldn’t get the rest out. Ended up selling it. Does the pump for these still have that upside down elbow design or does the application get to flow to the bottom allowing for less or no residual? I loved the quality of the Fz cyclone 3, but that residual issue for me was a deal breaker. Thanks!
Lol from STROM to STORM just switch the two letters :)
Those electrical plugs are called x connectors.
Looking forward to the UTV sprayer... im getting it! Pre order???? Lol
pre order might be possible...
If I want to get into the weed control business. And start small with a push spreader and a backpack sprayer with little over head. Which sprayer would u recommend ? And would it be possible until the business grows to purchase a spray rig spraying out of the back pack sprayer ?
Consider the My4Sons backpack you can use a hand drill battery you already have to power it
You mentioned including additional tips once you figure them out. Has that occured yet? I would like to buy, but I want to have the opportunity to get the additional tips.
i have not yet. Might be a while on that for time reasons
I've been trying to purchase one for two months now. Will have to go somewhere else. It's not that good if you can't buy one.
Was going to buy your 2.5g 20-0-0. With shipping it was almost $100. Bought the greencharge instead.
youll get great results from that as well. Youll have to contact UPS on the freight chrges. I have zero control over that friend. My apologies.
I use four gal and 9 gal flow zone and could use 50 gal spray buddy (battery) for 25000 sq. Ft . That seems to be ideal..
Does the new storm come with a battery or is that extra?
Comes with the battery. I show that in the video
Pete, these Swaptanks look intriguing! Is there any way to get replacement brass tips (a wear and tear item) for the 1 gallon sprayer? I have bought brand new tips for my trusty B&G pump type sprayer and installed them only to find out that a burr was left behind or they weren’t machined correctly. It’s a pain when this happens because it ruins the spray pattern and their expendables aren’t cheap!
Yes I can get replacement tips for sure
Thank you for the quick response, sir. 😎
Hey Pete, I think the word you were looking for for the inlet connection is swivel🤣
LOL... yeah i had a major brain fart there.
I would go as far as to call it a swivel turret
Knowing you don't want to "let the cat out of the bag" on the upcoming product...I'm considering a 20G Cart Buddy purchase in the next week or so... would your upcoming item be anything that might be another option that I may want to wait and see what that is that may something I may need to consider before buying a 20G Cart Buddy? Or, is it something bigger, different, etc that would not be similar? Just don't want to pull the trigger on the 20G and then wish I. had held off.
great question friend. Coming soon - The 50G option is just like the 20G CB only larger. The cat outta the bag product i am talking about is MUCH smaller that 20 gallons so probably should not let that affect your decision friend.
I think i prefer the Milwaukee switch tank just because every tank comes with its own hose. Then you dont have to worry about cross contamination.
Not one the 1 & 2 gallon versions but the 4 gallon does.
Milwaukee’s backpack sprayer has garbage reviews tho
@@Man_in_a_Gucci_Suit I own it with 4 tanks. This is my opinion and I explained why I preferred it.
@@G_Grip you have what I call an anti-lemon then you got lucky
Can you use it indoors? Or too much power / overspray?
Lots of pest control companies use these indoors so I would say yes. I do not have personal experience using them indoors.
Just curious, do you have any formal education in turfgrass science? Or is it a "I've been doing this for 25 years sort of education"?
Why does it matter?
I’m struggling to understand the place for this. You can get the 2 gallon swap tank for the same price as the 4 gallon cyclone. So, other than the ability to switch tanks, why would I want the 2 gallon swap tank over a 4 gallon cyclone?
I'd use it for a carry-around spot sprayer when you don't want the 4 gallon on your back for bigger apps. I hope the battery is the same as the Cyclone tho.
Are you a lawn care pro applicator or a diy homeowner?
@@GCITurf diy homeowner
@@icemanrrc I would think you would not get great benefit from this. The only way you would is if you wanted a sprayer to where you wanted to run different chems and did not want to cross contaminate. Theres only a few instances where I would see that happening. Pro lawn care the possibilities are endless
Hope the undisclosed 'buddy' model is a Nurse Tank!
nurse tank as in for pro or DIY??
I hope it’s better than the Milwaukee version that leaks all over the place.
So far so good
Being able to replace a worn out plastic tank is a great idea instead of replacing an entire machine . Too bad their sold out .
that spray nozzle is trash lol.
It’s literally a copy of B&G which is the industry standard for pest control
How is it trash?
Dont care if the president made it. Its still a bad unreliable nozzle. Too much playing around with it to get it to spray correctly.
like all the Flowzone products, these seem very overpriced. Before you say "you're paying for quality", there are other brands that are also good quality and priced lower.
I reckon we view "overpriced" differently sir. These sprayers are an exceptional value and a really good price.
Well I purchased a Milwaukee swap tank sprayer and 3 leaking tanks later I gave up and ended up buying a flow zone. I didn’t know they were bringing there own swap tank to market. It is such a time saver not having to wash tanks out and saves space in a trailer. The Milwaukee concept is better since the pump and wand are attached to the tank so there is zero product to flush out when changing tanks but unfortunately the poor quality of the tanks crippled the product.
@@byronn.2885yep - those were terrible. I had 4 different tanks and they all leaked. Took it back and now have 2 flowzones. I loved that concept though
Seem fairly priced to me
@@kevinwoods3487 how many are you going to purchase?
My4sons is the best backpack imo
I’ve had My4sons, Flowzone, Birchmier, Pest pro 2 (pump), tomahawk 4.75 gal (garbage) and Ryobi 4 gallon (also garbage)
Flowzone straight up ripping B&G spray cans off now with that 4 way tip
The 2 gallon swap tank is not compatible with the 1 gallon is it?
I do pest control only way I see myself using this system is if I have the 2 gallon swap tank with Talstar mixed in it
Then have the 1 gallon swap tank for inside chemical to spray baseboards and under sinks
