      COD 101 i would imagine thats done by hand to fine tune. Unless of course ypu just lift the bases off the field and run the machine over it. Like he said though this was more of a demonstration

      most people take a rake and go around the bases and break up the ground. I have been doing ball fields the last 3 years and rarely drag over or bases, they are raked.

    Pete, I appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule to bring us all these videos. I really enjoy watching. I started my own painting business after 20 years of painting for another company. 3 years in and its the greatest thing I could have done. Really enjoy your videos on running a business. Hopefully you can bring us more of those in the future.

      @@GCITurf I have a question. I have a couple fields that have the so called hump build up beyond 2nd base into outfield it spans from middle of 1st in outfield to middle of 2nd and 3rd . It was cause by going around in circles for years . Do I break it up and pull back into infield ? Or do I pull it into outfield and spread it out ? Thanks

    Awesome! So happy for you to be blessed to have the opportunity to work with sports fields making them #1, safe for the kids and #2, hopefully more fun for the kids. I drug an old section of a farm harrow with a 250 Kawasaki three wheeler around the ball field I maintained in the late 90's.

    Pete, you've got yourself a massive money maker there. I use to do the ripping, cultivating and leveling on a much larger scale but downsizing to that small is beyond ideal. Not only can you knock out the ball fields, but you can lay the groundwork for above ground pools which are a big ticket item out here in CA.
    I will say the laser leveling does has some faults, like if the job is big enough or dirt is fine enough the dust clouds will affect the laser at a distance. Last 2 years on the farm we had GPS for the leveling bucket and it mapped it out on the screen as you went. That right there was the bee's knees. You'll be able to do storage, garage, or other out building pads as well. You got yourself a winner right there man, beautiful little piece of machinery. I look forward to more video's with it. Makes me want one really bad but I'm on a budget that's below the average beggar around here so not in the foreseeable future. Thanks for sharing man.

    • @JustinJoyinglife
      @JustinJoyinglife 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GCITurf with your resume I doubt getting "good" will take another hour. I went to their site but couldn't find a price. They say they offer a CARB model but no way to contact unless my phone just wasn't loading it. What abouts does that model run if you don't mind me asking?

    • @GCITurf
      @GCITurf  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JustinJoyinglife sure I originally bought the carb model last august....basically a Z plug frame that ABI bought from them and they outfitted it with ABI stuff....they do not make that one any more...

    • @JustinJoyinglife
      @JustinJoyinglife 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GCITurf close. CARB meaning California Air Resources Board. They got extra restrictions and certifications to be sold here cuz this state likes money. That's why I was hoping for an estimated price and I'd likely add like 2-3k on top lol

    What about the pitchers mound? Isn't it supposed to be elevated from the rest of the playing field?

      James Ritchie not unless it’s a dedicated baseball field. Softball doesn’t have a raised pitchers mound for fast or slow pitch.

    Played lots of baseball Pete. Worked plenty of fields high school and college. Not bad for a t ball field. Given the fact that you just move the dirt bc no one else has at least in this decade.I’m gonna say I love you brother but you need some tips. I’m gonna need you to bring a shovel next time you work on a baseball field lol. All you did was drag the field like you see at a seven inning stretch brother except you had a machine doing it instead of fancy stadium workers pulling their chain. That baseball field needed edging around the infield. Kudos to trying something new though.
