I have a 2020 Honda pioneer 700-4 and I made a battery box big enough to install a deep cycle battery under the driver's side seat. the top cover comes off in 2 parts and the front and side cover come off to make it easy to build a box for the battery. the transmission has to have a set amount of power to run correctly. if it doesn't have proper power to it, it will take the transmission out. the only thing that should run off the original battery is the starter and engine and transmission and the lights and power steering if equipped. the winch and other light and other extras should be attached to your second battery. including the winch. Just an FYI.

Thanks. Good advise. I added a second battery, with isolator, after doing the video and moved the fan and winch to the second battery, which is under the driver seat also.

@@MikeM100 Thank you for the reply. I love the idea you have for the blower. I'm thinking of setting one up in mine to blow heat into the cab for winters in Wisconsin.

@@billjensen6216 pulling engine heat into the cabin works good. Just don't enclose the cabin too tightly because you will pull some exhaust gases in. A friend made that mistake and got really sick.

Nice idea and great install. I ordered a heat shield kit for mine for under the seat . Will try that first and if needed I will install something similar as yours.

The fan works pretty good. Several people have asked if it works better to pull hot air out than to push it in. I did it both ways and pushing cool air in worked best.

Great video, thank you! What are your thoughts on using just a toggle switch without the thermo? So i can turn it on/ off as i please

Thanks for taking the time to watch. I used an on/off switch at first, but kept forgetting to turn it on. I used a temperature sensor and thermometer because where I live it gets VERY hot during the summer and I wanted the fan to run for a few minutes after I get off the machine. Some folks have told me it's a bad design because having the fan run for 5-10 minutes after I turn off the Pioneer will run down my battery, but that's never happened. I guess it depends on the battery.

Did you consider doing an exhaust fan instead of an intake fan? I'm curious on which may be for effective.

If it was the best you wouldn't have to do any modifications

Being the best does not mean it's perfect. I've every brand side-by-side there is, and all off road machines get hot. Especially in central MS where I live where temperatures routinely stay above 100 F in summer.

It truly is the best. Had a Polaris for 3 months and sold it. Garbage & Loud.
Can-am makes a good machine but their over priced. Horribly. 🤷🏼‍♂️
