- Ken Tanaka is back on the water. This time fly fishing dry flies in Idaho late summer for some Cutthroat Trout.
I am back out west! For the unofficial Western Tour 2! My trip to Tarpon Caye Lodge in Belize was canceled so I called a quick audible and headed back out west! This is one of the best small streams I have ever fished! Nothing better than fly fishing a giant dry fly all day long for fantastic size Cutties.

@Wish4Fish The good old-fashioned bacon cheeseburger is my go-to at Frostop. Plus, I love their fries and tots. I heard a rumor that the family sold it last year or something, so I was nervous it wouldn't be as good as it usually is. But my fears were unwarranted, it was just as good as usual. I haven't tried the huckleberry shake (don't hate me haha), but I definitely need to. We're usually so full we just skip desert. Great food after a long day of fishing or camping.

Nice video Ken. I really liked the explanation on extending the leader. I was going to request a video on" how to approach the river" and "get proper angles to get good drifts and presentation" ...guess that's a little too much to ask . ..

Nice creek, there is a creek in ID, it has a special hatch every 3 to 5 years and it is extremely fun at night with a head lamp, unless it is sliver out, if you catch my drift. you can trick the big spooky browns into going for your fly.

there seem to be people using a very expensive click & pawl reel but don't know how to appreciate the sound of the reel. Ken, u should be using a beer can as a line holder instead :)
You have to use the reel for trout? Haha

I would love for people to fish it! Although being such a small stream it can’t handle that kind of pressure.
Trust me... EVERY local appreciates that I didn’t spot burn.
