- Ken Tanaka is back on the water! This time, fly fishing in Idaho!
The 2020 Western Tour is here! Once again I had to include the Henry's Fork! Easily one of my favorite streams. These beautiful waters and area bring me back time and time again. This time I was able to share my experience with good friend Chris O'Malley. In case of his personal best and to find a trout over 20 inches.

Your videos were a big reason why i made the day trip to fish the henrys fork. Man was it worth it. I broke 20 inches on a fat cutbow, personal best. Hares ear.

Oh I’m freaking excited for this one. We have to make a road trip through all the great rivers around there. So many rivers so little time. What an epic video. Early season and that stretch make for a sweet time

Awesome video! Just getting into fly fishing caught my first fish on a recent trip to Idaho on the salmon river. But gonna have to plan a trip to Henry’s fork in the next year or so! Keep up the awesome videos!

Awesome video guys. My boy and I are heading up there in September for a 5 day fly fishing trip. We are going to drive around Idaho and just fish.

Great video Ken ! You are such a funny guy , but on top of that a great fisherman! I watch your videos are try and learn from the best ! Good job helping your friend land his first 20 ! It shows what kind of unselfish person you are ! I myself have never landed a 20 but did break a couple off ! It’s what keeps me going, the quest for big fish !! Again great job with some nice fish landed !! I see your using an h3 , what model and can you explain your setup ? Tight lines !

I am using the H3. Although you will see from the upcoming videos it was only because my rod broke! T&T Avantt. Luckily they were able to get me a loaner rod but I had to fish my back up for a couple of days.
I do explain my set up at the end of the video. BUSTED, Shame on you for not watching till the end! 😉

Tyler Pearce I love ennis. I lived there for a summer back in 08’ and fished my ars off. Hit every hatch of the season and it was a blast. Good old days before I got married and had kiddos. SCUBAAA!

Yeah, I can’t stand stuff on my belt smashed up against my body.
Try the Gear Keeper net retractor! Hangs perfect for you to grab when you need and snaps back into place when you’re done. The ability to lock it in place when you need to.
Different net you but get the idea. I am still using this exact same gear keeper as well! 6 years and a LOT of retracting later still works like new.

Love the video's but please man.. get a rubber net bag.
Please... American is the only country that cries about that! Rubber sucks! I'm not spending more for a cheaper product. I haven't found ONE rubber net that won't break after a couple uses.
As long as you keep in the fish in the water, keep the net wet with the fish in it. They are fine. Besides this a hand woven net and is extremely soft.
So no... I will not use another rubber net again. Thank you for your concern though.
@@Wish4Fish Rubber nets bags are proved to be much easier on a fish..in the water or not. America is also a place where fish in rivers like the Hank get hammered day after day. But you did start fly fishing like 6 years ago so I expect you to know everything..LOL
@@Wish4Fish You could go with one of the frabill landing nets! More fish-friendly and inexpensive. It's what most of the competitive anglers use.

Erik Myre - I know that rubber nets suck. Took me ONE year to figure that out.
