A shortcut is to divide the density of wood by density of water. The answer is the percent of 's', the block, that is underwater. Multiply 's' by that percentage and subtract what you get from 's' and it'll give you the same answer. Much faster.
why is it that the force of bouyancy is equal to the weight of object x the density x g? the cube is not even fully immersed? i dont get it. please do clarify my question
Is equal because if the force of bouyancy was bigger the cube of wood be on the water and if the weight was bigger it would be totaly inmersed, in this case is floating if you make a free body diagram you will notice in the sum of Y that: Force of bouyancy minus Weight of the wood cube equals 0, by the way happy 2018
great explanation! can always multiply both sides by -1 to make it less confusing for ppl who don't like to divide by -1.

i was just about to say the same thing.... that way is much more easy compared to this complex
h is .2 in step of 20 cause we have to convert to meters isnt it?
THANKS BRO VERY CLEAR EXPLANATION! :)
thanks brother ur channel helps a lot with my studies this semester :) final exam tomorrow i feeling confident!!!
Pb present for what ??
Thank you!
Thanks for this great lesson.
