This is beautiful. I live in the eternal present and its problematic in this society. I can neither work much toward my future nor dwell on the past. It is a happy place to be except for being out of step with the majority of others who never fail to see where I could make improvements by doing, planning, saying etc. These words quell the self judgement gained by living in this dysfunctional society. I love the here and now, it is peaceful.

i love how he referenced bootstraps. its a paradox which i always knew. i fought so long and so hard to get to where i did and i lost it all over god damn motherfucking money. i couldnt pay rent during the pandemic and got evicted. i lost everything and everyone and anything that mattered or at least what i thought mattered.

I've seen a lot of Alan Watts videos with titles that have nothing to do with the content of the speech . But you my friend have the ability to give the right title . And that music playing in the background is well chosen . UPDATE: And i like Alan Watts' logic of deception. I use it as an antidote to the Christian form of deception i was raised with. What you may ask IS the Christian form of deception ???? Like all successful deceptions it's complicated. The most significant element is that you CAN BE improved. The second part is you MUST seek God . . . but only through Jesus . . . without understanding what He is. Simply BELIEVE. There's the logical contradiction. See it ???? The deception is complicated. But You must be SIMPLE. That way you're much easier to deceive. Got that ????
