This reminds me of my family in India. My late grandfather was a millionaire lawyer who started from absolute poverty. He was the most socially concious lawyer you can imagine. Some 40 years later he had a family and in his house lived one of his sons, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren. The grandson, my cousin, was the ultimate toxic spoiled brat- Mark makes him look like a nice guy- trust me. The granddaughter- what can I say? The ONLY difference between her and Mother Theresa is that she got married and had kids. How many people do you know work for a charity and don't draw a salary? She lives on her husband's company money. My understanding is that her husband's family have a chain of hotels and restaurants. She insisted that the left over food goes to the local homeless shelters.
One day in the run up to my brother's wedding I invited the servant's children to eat with us. He went crazy! He went mental when I shook hands with the servants. I caught him sexually assaulting one of the female servants. I stopped him. He said his grandfather lawyer could get the charges dropped. I asked the servants why they put up with him- they needed the money- this woman was too afraid to press charges. Now my Dad is a doctor and I got a huge financial gift for the wedding. I live in the UK. At the time the cost of living in India was 1/30th the cost in the UK so trust me I had money! The servants were made up of two brothers and their wives. Their children lived in the house. I found the landlord and bought them the house, I paid for their children's education until they were 18 and I gave the servants the equivalent of 2 years salary on one condition. They walked out of my grandfather's employment and found a better life- which they did! I told my grandfather to make my cousin do their work. He was furious!

Wow it's sad they where so scared to lose their job because to speak out against blackmail & sexual harassment,smh it makes me so mad how often it happens.& another I hate it when people only seek money & materials for want only anything to do with them .if that's all they want or care for they don't deserve anything or anyone.

Before a family member and a social worker admitted my mom Into an Assisted Living Facility. I helped my mom, who had dementia, with cooking, cleaning, paying her bills, and varied errands. My mom made me the trustee of the house. Years after she died, I sold the house and shared the proceeds with my siblings, even though the attorney told me it was my right to keep all of it. I'm the youngest. The other family member was mad at first because since she's older than me, she said that she should've been the trustee. I guess my mom made me the trustee because both of my older family members moved out long time ago, while I had dealth with my parents for a long time by myself.

I can understand why the dad didn't leave either of his children anything. He didn't want to give the son and daughter-in-law anything because of their horrible behavior and didn't leave anything for the daughter because he must've known the maid would help her. 🙂

this could lead into another story where the divorce happens between the biological son and his golddigger wife, he sells his car and stays elsewhere for years, makes amends with his sister and the maid but still does not get anything, meets someone new, build a good business, have another child with them, and the golddigger ex and his first child, older now, see him and then they get rejected.

It's a good story, but it makes me cry because it's similar to my story, but I didn't get anything. I was taking care of the father of this family and the house wife left him when she knew he had cancer. He passed away and now the family they don't even talk to me or say anything. I have worked for them for 20 years, but what I got from the family is only $147.48 per month. I don't know what to do I'm trying to find a job, but it's not easy I wish I can find a job. Please anyone can help me you won't regret 😢. I don't know what did I do wrong for them to me it was better if they explain what did I do wrong for them 😢
