It is crucial that we understand the concept of asymmetric warfare, which is one of the most challenging types of conflict to prosecute. The key factor that can aid our military in this fight is effective intelligence gathering, particularly from the people living in the affected areas. We must collaborate with our military to address this challenge strategically by providing timely and useful information to curb insecurity at its roots. No amount of equipment can be effective without reliable intelligence from the locals. If you see something, say something.

Why has our 170 MK3, 250 4k4fa, 110 mowag 6x6, 300 90 mm armoured cars, 300 towed artillery pieces, and so much more not been upgraded to digital age standards? Why do our men not have ergonomic kits on their AK47, why are there no personal radios? No ROIP radio network? Why are we not prioritising procurement of MRAPS & light vehicles from Nigeria? Why so many Toyotas? Why are these Toyota's upgraded as if done by BH as tacticals & not professional military upgrades like the Rwandas have? Why did we buy 2 1960s Vietnam era UH1 helicopters for our Army? Why did we buy a sports plane MF212 from Hungary? Why is there no standardisation in our Army in either uniform, webbing or equipment? Why are there no standard practices? Why are FOBs not fortified? Why are routes not surveilled with CCTV where bandits pass. Why are communities hit regularly by bandits not walled with 3 meters high walls & hand cranked sirens? It's too easy to make excuses but none of them stand.

"we asked for help to UN and EU", "Nigeria is alone".
    🤔
(Which kind of currencies do they have?
16 years money... all from kidnappings and so?)
"Their exit from ECOWAS is not good"... "Those are sovereign countries, so I won't decide who they want to stay with"... "It's important that we stay together"
    🤔
    (Why don't you join AES?)
"We must have the backing of good governance", "Poverty and hunger are tools that they use to recruit easily"...
who's in charge of Nigeria's government? Who should local governments ask for help?
    🤔
Gen. Musa seems a true hero, strong, smart and sensible... I don't know if he could say the same about his president

We cannot continue encouraging criminals to hijack power in the Sahel. So naija did the right thing.

Firstly, Nigeria is a big rich country and should have a military industry to produce some of their needs like guns, BMPs, tanks, Missiles and drones. Secondly, Recruitment: they need to increase recruitment. I dont understand the importance of civil defense when we have police. Now you have governors promising jobs only to start some kind of uniform wearing thugs doing police job and harassing citizens. The army in peace time is not really a career job, low pay, little incentives that get smaller because of seniors taking their share etc. 3) Corruption: if we don't fight corruption, you'll see Nigerian made weapons in the hands of these terrorists when and if we have a military industry. On the issue of corruption, many senior military are so corrupt.
Once we can fight corruption, start producing our own weapons and have sufficient personals , we can win . We have seen the army drive these people out and then they will come back, but if we have the ability to settle anywhere we retake, and build military outposts and have drones from reconnaissance and surveillance, and even to strike the enemy. Finally, reduce the dependence and corroboration with groups like UN, Amnesty international etc. these groups doesn't want Africa free and productive.

These are states practicing sharia law but yet protecting animals that’s have killed thousands of Nigerians and made millions homeless. These moment I heard the word re radicalised that’s when I know that the security situation in Nigeria is never going to end. Is like playing around with the minds of good citizens. Their not being prosecuted not face the wrath of the law through death sentence for committing such heinous crimes. Nigeria is a failed country. The rich people living in their enclave should know that once the poor are not safe in the country then no Nigerians are safe because one day they will be the next victim. How is it an "attempt" to surprise a forward operating base when they succeeded in killing soldiers and many unaccounted for?? I used to think this general was good but now I think he just talks good and is good at propaganda and making excuses. How can a "poor" country like Mali be winning their fight against terror while Nigeria is only getting worse.. it's it not the same fight? Mali is not making excuses

I keep wondering when the fight against terrorism in Nigeria will become a reality and not just mere grammar on TV.
Before you talk about foreign sponsors, what have you done about the local sponsors that Lai Mohammed claimed to have their list?
How about those that were named by the United Arab emirates?
