Make a Minimal Vector Portrait with Adobe Illustrator | Serena Williams

Creating a cartoon minimal vector portrait of Serena Williams in Adobe Illustrator CC as a process speed art tutorial video. Adobe illustrator Creative Cloud.
Hi everyone and welcome to Dom Designs.
In today's video I will show you how I draw Serena Williams as a flat design vector portrait illustration from photograph in Adobe Illustrator CC. Being a huge tennis fan myself and with #blackhistorymonth underway I was inspired to create one of the most successful female black athletes of our history. I hope you enjoy this video!
During this process I used the pen tool, shape builder, width tool, reflect and much more. I take a photograph and trace out the basic shapes. Once I am completed I add some base colours and then the shadows and highlights.
