Excellent algorithm today. I just started my wife with this 3 beat hustle. I connect hustle to samba rather than west coast from the quarter note syncopation. Thank you.
@@WestCoastSwingOnline thanks for the response. Which one is the more correct timing of the triple step, half note or quarter note? One reason I connect it to samba is we can practice 2 rhythms at the same time.

Good question! Although I'm not an 'expert' in either hustle or disco fox, I did spend some time around one of the best disco fox dancers in Europe. Disco fox has a little latin feel to it and seems to be influenced in some ways by west coast swing. Hustle is a longer standing dance so it came first. To most of us they are the 'same dance' but to people who specialize in them there are some subtle differences in music and style. I hope that helps just a bit. Happy Dancing, Brian

In our dancing schools Hustle presents as four-count dance (1,2,3,4) and Discofox presents as three-count dance (i not remember a right timing). And i suppose that this is a Discofox, but not a Hustle. I did not know any more difference. So looks like you are right - to most of us they are the 'same dance' .
@@yuriylazutin697 Yes... true hustle is &1,2,3 (or 1,2&,3 depending on how you want to count it) but either way it's the same. Sometimes teachers cound hustle a a 4 count dance (1,2,3,4) to slow it down and make it easier on students but that would not be considered 'real' hustle. Ultimately if people are dancing no matter the counts, that's a good thing! Where are you from again? -B

Almost at the same time, I simultaneously began to engage a Hustle, but a few months later a new course was appeared (it was WCS) - and I changed Hustle to it (although I went to ballroom for another three years). A month ago I started visiting a practice by Brazilian Zouk. Currently, we do not teach WCS, because the girl who trained us earlier left to live in Moscow. I watch videos from your channel, from other channels, analyzed a various interesting routines in video editor and try to dance WCS with followers from Hustle. So that the girls would not be offended for the fact that they have to suffer with me, I wanted to recall several patterns from Hustle. And was found that he was a little different from ours :). And that about you? How long you dancing?
The guy doesnt have to do the same arms up as the woman, let the woman do those flowery things. Im a silver lever and keep my hands down while she is the fancy one.
