Even though it’s not the correct steps or well choreographed, I think this dance really had the 70’s disco vibe, as disco was designed to be a free-spirited dance and music style that brought fun and joy.
Reminds me of my dad’s high school album lol 😂 Fun fact, my dad and uncles all had that hair in the 70s too, and like Mark Dacascos, are from Oahu, Hawaii.
They’re all killing it and not in a good way… New York City Street Dancers knew how to really do this dance.. I know this for a fact because I was one of them 😊 Not this studio taught, watered down version but the real deal street way.. We danced the hustle effortlessly and it was so beautiful to watch.. Not bragging.. Just Saying ❤
The classical original Hustle was a beautiful partner dance. There were a few steps that were recognizable, but the original Hustle did not have all these gymnastics.
They should have played the original Do the Hustle. This one did not do it justice. Also, only one part of it was played and it was in a repeating loop.
Let's see what the judges have to say! Carrie Ann Inabra: "That's was awesome! I was, like, spinning around and boogeying! I had to mark you down because of the lifts, but, you GO!" Len Goodman: "Well, you came out, you had a lot of energy. You did a little bit of Hustle, what I saw of the dance steps were very good. There was too much of all of that flim-flam and flip-floppiness, and some of you broke hold, and some of you fell down and lost costume parts, and some of you were off count, but otherwise, it had energy, it was fun, and you had a good time." Julianne Hough: "You know, what I love about you is that even though you sucked, you all sucked as hard as you could!" Bruno Tambioli: (Jumps up on the table) "It....had....passion! It...had fire! It had....flying choreography! A couple of you had minor mishaps, and my darlings, you broke hold too soon on a couple counts, but otherwise, it was very entertaining!" Let's get the scores! Carrie Ann: 6! Len: The 6! From me! Julianne: siiiiiix! Bruno: 6! (Dang it, not the number of the devil. Nobody is going to hell yet for that mediocre performance.)
Sometimes you just feel like letting loose, don't think there careers depend on getting perfect scores in a dance competition, judges should of joined the fun.
I hate when the audience claps to songs that don't need clapping. The Hustle speaks for it's self, no awkward clapping needed. * I also hate when dancers improvise and do, frankly, stupid moves that are obviously done for the sake of doing sexually suggestive moves. It's like when a singer butchers the National anthem with their "own style"

I did the hustle in my time but I didn't go swing around like that or go on the guys shoulder Lol
I agree with you. This is very very dated and that how hustle is danced these days.
Of all the seasons of DWTS, Season 9 is by far my favorite. This dance was just a lot of fun to watch, kind of a way to blow off some steam.
I distinctly remember that I was a Vito fan!
Bad to the bone. Y'all betta go head and hustle. I love it.
Damn that flip by Mark Dacascos at 1:33 was impressive...and his hair is awesome too!!!
Reminds me of my dad’s high school album lol 😂 Fun fact, my dad and uncles all had that hair in the 70s too, and like Mark Dacascos, are from Oahu, Hawaii.
Great music..the best...hustle...u can still dance it 2021...

Superb dancing !
Not!
This is good.a little different than what i learned back in the 80s.
Hustle was 70s.
mucho recuerdo de la onda disco de mi tiempos
Love it!
This is how we did The Hustle....;)
This is so good!
I'm with you Ashley. This is good. This is awesome!
Fantastic!
SO GOOD
THIS IS DISCO DANCING
That’s not the hustle WE did in the 70’s.
Exactly 💯 percent
I freakin loved it! yah
ohh thats sooo cool^^
All of these dancers are now in their 70s . 😊
which one was maks ,i love him
+Lillian Graham Tall, dark and handsome in the blue/greenish shirt.
cool ,thanks
Muito bommmm
Entertaining, but a very bad and inaccurate portrayal of the Hustle Dance.
Jimmy Z
True, but I think they simply wanted good dance music.
This was how I did the Hustle. I think the East and West Coasts had different variations of this dance.
superbe
Was that donny osmond in the end lol
If it was, he should have known better. The Hustle is not circus acobatics!
That isn't 3 count Hustle....
❤
If that is hustle then I am King kong
Weird but good dancing
Did not see one couple do the Hustle correctly.
That was the most ridiculous 💩 I have ever seen! Total fail.
Can't even watch to the end.
Which one is Derek?
Ak Sprkl Maks replaced Derek cause he was hurt this dance.
@@roberthenry7922 No, Derek had the flu.
And that version of thee hustle sounds related bad, lost all the snare drums and it's twang, without that it's impossible to dance to,
I preffer this to the original

l thought it was very good

LMAO Don't know if that's what they actually said but that's what they would say, you nailed it!
Wow...that was...awful! We did it better as teens without the choreography!
Not even remotely close.

That's not how to dance to the hustle !!!
this is so bad..ugh!!
What little "Hustle" there was, was perfectly awful! In fact, the whole thing looked like a high school version of "disco".
Terrible honey let me tell you Studio 54 and the hustle couples were a lot better than that that was a clown show.
Total fail all the way around!!!
This made me cringe lol
what a shitty picture quality. a shame
