If the price of how nutritious sardines are were accurate, then sardines would be so expensive and that would immediately give it that “coveted” factor. as a kid id eat a can of chilli tomato sardines out of the can every day and i recently moved home and went to our neighbors chinese store after 21 years, sadly the owners were new but thank god they still carried all my favorites lol i packed up on stuff, when i showed my brother he was like dude ur weird and im like i got you something too and pulled out our childhood favorite gum and candies and he literally at age 31 started freaking out yelling and texting his friends and almost cried as did my mom lol so nostalgic! and my grandpa was happy i went back to my roots lol he made fun of me for becoming a vegan at age 11 and about a year ago i decided to add fish into my diet again cause i let my health go over a broken heart ( friends, family just are fkin crazy and it made me neglect myself ) ima make a huge batch of hot n sour soup tonight and jesus all the stuff i needed plus a gift and a ladle added up to 80 bucks lol when i order everything online it easily is over 300 e.i black vinager my favorite brand 12 dollars online in store 5 dollarsand black fungus 1.29 per pack, shittake was 5 dollars i usually pay 20 and all the sauces cheap af too like lao gan ma and tobanjan so expensive online big can of bamboo shoots for like a buck kimchi 12 at the store only 6.50 at the chinese store lol i hate big corporations dude
Made this for dinner tonight! It was delicious!y mom used to make this for us growing up (minus the egg) and I loved it 😋 Tonight I added the egg on top of the rice. Sardines in Olive Oil, sauteed red bell pepper, onion 🧅 , fresh garlic 🧄 , diced tomato 🍅 sauce and lastly crushed red pepper 🌶
