@@DaDunge And neither are Don Rosa's. That the characters stay the same has nothing to do with genius, it has to do with laziness and a lack of critical thinking. Take "Return to Bear Mountain." This isn’t a fake spoiler, just some trivia. The Beagle Boys have been around for a really long time, originating in the comics like a lot of Scrooge’s lore, though in those comics they have an equal enmity with Donald. They appeared frequently in the OG DuckTales and three of them also played henchmen in the direct-to-video film Mickey, Donald, and Goofy: The Three Musketeers.
The Spear of Selene is an inter dimensional drill that breaks through to an ‘Upside down’ where Della is trapped. Keep your eyes on the mirrors in this series. 👀 🪞 🌙
It's neat how this series makes the triplets unique individuals, where in the original series they were almost completely identical and interchangeable aside from being color-coded, and were even voiced by one voice actor. It wasn't until the "Quack Pack" spinoff series in the '90s that they were given fully distinct personalities and separate voice actors. The original nephews Hubert, Deuteronomy, and Louis, created in 1937, were named after Huey Long (Governor of Louisiana and United States Senator (1893-1935)), Thomas E. Dewey (Lawyer and 47th governor of New York (1902-1971)), and Louis Schmitt (an animator at the Disney Studio in the 1930s and 1940s, and _not_ the attorney and member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives Louis C. Schmitt Jr., who wasn't even born yet). A few comics accidentally created a fourth nephew via artistic error, jokingly named "Phooey, the long-lost brother". Their first appearance was in the "Donald Duck" Sunday newspaper comic on 17 October 1938. Donald receives a letter that reads _"Dear Donald: I am sending your angel nephews Louie, Huey and Dewey, to stay with you while their father is in the hospital. A giant firecracker exploded under his chair. The little darlings are _*_SO_*_ playful. I hope you enjoy them. Your cousin, Della"._ They then immediately prank Donald twice, once by connecting the wire from the porch light to the doorknob, and again with the classic falling bucket of water gag. Webbigail Vanderquack and her grandmother Bentina Beakley first appeared in part 3 of the 1987 Ducktales animated series pilot movie "The Treasure of the Golden Suns". Scrooge hires Mrs. Beakley to be the boys' nanny after she tells him she'll work for free, only asking for room and board for herself and her granddaughter, as they were homeless at the time. Webby would join the boys on their adventures as the token girl, while Mrs. Beakley was the timid and excitable foil to Scrooge's unflappable no-nonsense butler and chauffeur, Duckworth (who, despite his name, was a dog). (Note: I have _no_ intention of doing "Original series lore" comments on every episode like I did with the She-Ra reaction. But we'll see how that goes; I may just make a liar out of me.)
I am tempted to do the old fogey comments like I did with She-ra but this early on some stuff would be spoilers to compare other than things like how the nephews came to live with Scrooge, or the differences between Webby and Beackly from the old cartoon versions.
The boys actually DO have different personalities in the original series. But the fact that they all had the same design, same voice, and the personalities weren't super complex made it REALLY easy to miss. Huey was the "leader", Dewey was the smart one (which made this series throw me for a loop at first lol) and Louie was the goofball. If you went back to the original series with this in mind, you can see it (I think they even had a whole episode of Dewey getting frustrated that people mix him up with his brothers) but you're still right that they did NOT to enough to emphasize it, so it's still a flaw. I adore their characterizations here even if they confused me a bit at first, haha!

My favorite twist is that Webby is actually the triplets' mom. A magical artifact regressed her to the age of a baby and she lost all her memories. But she retains her aptitude for adventure, which is why she's so good at that stuff.
Webby is actually the youngest McDuck . She is the reincarnation of triples' grandmother and Scrooge's sister Hortense Mcduck. While a magical war against mcducks in Scotland. A magical spell was released making triples' mother and grandmother dead but in reality those 2 were reincarnated as webby and another girl who will meet webby in the upcoming episodes (will have similar hairstyle as yours but has dyed it pink). They will get along very well due to their previous life bond of mother and daughter.
There is really a lot to love when it comes to this show, the characters are really endearing as time goes on, the artstyle is fitting of more modern animated projects but doesn’t stray too far from the aesthetic of the original, and overall is a great take of the world for fans old and new
The Sphere of Selene actually erases their memories of Della anytime they aren't directly looking at her or her portrait. You can sometimes see her in the background, Blendin style.
Mrs. Beakley was once a member of a secret organization tasked with assassinating Scrooge. Scrooge defeated her, but spared her life so she vowed a life debt to him. Beakley then rescued Webby from that organization after her parents are "killed". It turns out Webby's parents run the organization but they were actually after Glomgold and the whole thing was a misunderstanding.
Donald is Webbie’s dad, but traveled back in time to leave her to be raised with the boys. This is way Beakly puts up with all of them. To preserve the timeline and ensure her granddaughter is born.
Webby is the clone of the triplets mom, but doesn't know it, she was made because scrooge was missing her but it became too much for him so he asked Beekley to fabricate a story for Webby
The triplets mom was abducted by aliens and is still alive as a fugitive on Mars. And the only reason she's survived this long on an alien planet is because she once helped Artemis greek goddess of the moon get her favorite hunting spear back, so as thanks Artemis blessed her with the ability to breathe in space so the two of them could hang out at Artemis' place on the moon for some girls time.
13:21 Bruh 💀 How did this fly over my head (I've rewatched the series about ~10 times or so and never got this joke until now). That is such a dark joke lmao
I don't remember where I heard it, but I like this mnemonic: Huey is red, the strongest hue. Dewey is blue like water. And that leaves Louie, and leaves are green.
Back for another round of: Two lies and a truth. 1. One episode will be based off of some notebooks found in the houseboat made by the triplets when they were really little. 2. As a short run part-time job for Donald, he tries his hand at birthday party magician, unfortunately, using one of Scrooges gathered treasures, causing real magic to start happening. (it has a ton of kingdom hearts, references) 3. The group at one point gets trapped in a mystical golf game, And have to contend with two kelpie voiced by My Little Pony characters actors.
13:26 no, no you’re not the only one whose adult dirty mind activated with that sentence. I’ll be honest I don’t even know if that was intentional or not since Disney has had a history of slipping adult jokes into kids cartoons.
the Spear of Selene was an ancient artifact from Nepal that Scrooge found and someone you'll find out later misused. Donald and Scrooge are still from the original Ducktales cartoon but they are stuck in the current universe. Many other things changed including the boys' names from the old cartoon.
Beakly isn't spying on Scrooge. Scrooge is an old friend and former school mate from her college days. She is actually spying on Launchpad. You see the reason Launchpad survives constant deadly crashes is that he is actually the first test subject for an experimental invulnerability serum... think this shows version of Captain America, but with a little bit of Batman Beyond thrown in as Launchpad does not fully know what the serum was supposed to do for him. If I remember he thought it was just a vaccine against the common cold or something like that. Beakley is monitoring Launchpad's development and trying to gauge what kind of duck bird the serum (and the duck family) will make him in too.
O trust me once you meet Lena you're going to want more and even tho she's the best character there is, there are so many characters that will be your favorite you won't know which one to pick
Webby's true grandmother doesn't show up until a later episode. Also, Webby is clearly being set up to ally with the villians. Actually, the nephews are as well. Every one of them will try taking down Scrooge.
I can't wait till she finds out that Dewey is the Norrisville Ninja and needs to defeat the evil Sorcerer. Not to mention the awsome super sonic speed and mystic weapons.

I just realized… i need to look up if anyone ever wrote a fan story about the group from this and owl house and/or amphibia characters ever getting to meet… because i could SO see the chaos and hilarity unfold in my head… off to the interwebs!
The coolest thing about this version is how they really honor the past. Like in the first episode where Mrs. Beakley gave the triplets the marble, well that is a reference to the first Duck Tales. In that one they have used marbles to get out of many harrowing situations (scarry for a cartoon made for grade schoolers). Also there are several references to the old Scrooge McDuck comic. Though I am not a huge comic nerd but I know of it and some of the references.
Can't wait until she sees the arc where it turns out the Mrs. Beakly is spying on Scrooge to steal his precious 87 cents. He bites her on the way out, and they call it the bite of 87.
Webby learned to play the cello after that incident in Georgia with Lucifer (it was awkward but Luci let her go) Only during the summer does she take minor jobs alongside James Heron Bond (whom by the way, is her bio-dad but Beakley was sworn to keep that a secret)
The boys understand that Webby is trying and doesn't mean any harm, and her intentions are what they recognize, not necessarily the outcomes of her actions (ofc until the actions are getting them banned from somewhere). They're all kids, shit happens, there's no need to dwell on it when you have so much life left to live ✨
5 things that may be spoilers or may be outright lies, not saying if any are true or not. 1: The Beagles are right to be angry at Scrooge, he was a colonizer for the ducks who cheated them out of their land, so now the majority of the beagle people live in the slums or in a segregated town that is the setting for Goof Troop. 2: The triplet's mother is canonically either Bi or lesbian and there is no father, she became pregnant from magic. 3: Webby will be revealed to be an alternate timeline genderswapped Scrooge McDuck that was captured from her timeline by evil forces trying to acquire Scrooge's essence to unlock a powerful mystical treasure. 4: There is a fourth nephew named Phooey Duck who was thanks to a mistake Donald made on an adventure trapped in a dream dimension, he will occasionally appear but the magic makes it so no one realizes anything is different, and anything he did was just assumed to have been done by one of the other nephews when he vanishes again. But he remembers everything and can only watch, waiting for those brief hiccups in reality where he can interact with his family again, even if they won't remember him once he's gone. 5: Scrooge McDuck, thinks he invented Christmas, but hates it now claiming he lost the rights to Christmas in divine court and thus can't receive any royalties for it.
I’m not good at fake spoilers. But a code word, Moon. I mean It’s Foreshadowed. 3:30 Webby would make a great assassin. 13:29 They really let that slide in a kids show. The crazy thing is that I noticed that When I first watched the episode a few weeks ago and I didn’t think anything of it.
I'm really looking forward to the episode where the Beagle Boys become superheroes and finally join forces with the Triplets against a Steve Jobs archetype.

There is really a lot to love when it comes to this show, the characters are really endearing as time goes on, the artstyle is fitting of more modern animated projects but doesn’t stray too far from the aesthetic of the original, and overall is a great take of the world for fans old and new
Beakley is very much the Alfred in terms of backstory. Just wait until she ends up part-timing to work with Darkwing Duck.
The Sphere of Selene actually erases their memories of Della anytime they aren't directly looking at her or her portrait. You can sometimes see her in the background, Blendin style.
I love Webby sm and I like how they made an episode showing how sheltered she is instead of full-on making her like she already knew how to be social.
I can’t wait for her to watch the episode where they meet 2 girls from the future who turn out to be Louie’s daughters

Bruh 💀 How did this fly over my head (I've rewatched the series about ~10 times or so and never got this joke until now). That is such a dark joke lmao
This show can get weirdly dark at times.
I literally just read this comment right when that scene played!! 🤣🤣
I get Wendy and Dipper flashbacks everytime she is in an episode with the boys 8:28
Dipper would never be so confident with girls, like NEVER😂
I don't remember where I heard it, but I like this mnemonic: Huey is red, the strongest hue. Dewey is blue like water. And that leaves Louie, and leaves are green.
Back for another round of:
Two lies and a truth.
1. One episode will be based off of some notebooks found in the houseboat made by the triplets when they were really little.
2. As a short run part-time job for Donald, he tries his hand at birthday party magician, unfortunately, using one of Scrooges gathered treasures, causing real magic to start happening.
(it has a ton of kingdom hearts, references)
3. The group at one point gets trapped in a mystical golf game, And have to contend with two kelpie voiced by My Little Pony characters actors.
Fun fact: Webby's voice actor Kate Micucci plays Uku lele in real life and is half of the band Garfunkel and Oates
13:26 no, no you’re not the only one whose adult dirty mind activated with that sentence. I’ll be honest I don’t even know if that was intentional or not since Disney has had a history of slipping adult jokes into kids cartoons.
what's the joke supposed to mean I didn't really get it
I am missing the edge. What is the meatlocker joke?
@@titanuranus3095same
@@naokaaaa um…..best you don’t know.
@@butterflywarrioreditsI hate it when people do that. I need to know
Mrs. Beakley is such a cool grandma.
Can't wait for the episode where Webbie find herself in the shadow realm to find the reincarnation of an ancient egyptian witch. So much "FRIENDSHIP"!
With Mrs B being a spy, you'd think you would get a James Bond parody, but it's more like Spy x Family with Webby as Anya and Scrooge as Yor.
The moon is made of rock and metal
I love Webby so much. Happy to see you’re coming around on her already. She’s super fun.
the Spear of Selene was an ancient artifact from Nepal that Scrooge found and someone you'll find out later misused. Donald and Scrooge are still from the original Ducktales cartoon but they are stuck in the current universe. Many other things changed including the boys' names from the old cartoon.
Fun fact: webby gets training from batman in episode 4 season 2
DUCKTALES! WOO-OO!
You do NOT mess with Donald's family.
O trust me once you meet Lena you're going to want more and even tho she's the best character there is, there are so many characters that will be your favorite you won't know which one to pick
I'm glad Webby has grown on you. Webby is the best.
I can't believe they reveal that Webby is the triplets' mom
Can’t wait for her to reach the episode that reveals Donald is actually Miraculous Ladybug from Miraculous Ladybug
@6:50 There's a reason for that...
can't believe huey dewey and louie are revealed to secretly be snails in episode 10, crazy man. Also more DuckTales yayy!!
Another one of Ben Schwartz's VA roles, and the ninja mask in that series had Red stripes over the eyes and Leo in Rottmnt is a red eared slider with red stripes/crescents over his eyes
@@BrielleMyers-v8c How dare you uncover my fake spoiler. But I'm afraid you've forgotten one role.🦔
@@Hickory958 actually I left a comment on the first reaction video about how the fact that Ben Schwartz voices Dewey, Rise Leo, and Sonic the Hedgehog in the new live-action movies is something that will always completely tickle me.sorry I pulled the rug out from under your fake spoiler, I didn't mean to, honest!
Hey everyone! Remember to keep the comments free of any spoilers of future episodes for Mosco. Have fun & be creative with fake spoilers! Also, make sure we’re keeping the comments cool & comfortable for everyone here. Enjoy the reaction y’all!!!
Hey, there, toughies and smarties!
Do not worry, all will be explained in....time.
You skipped the part where Webby put a copy of Sun Tzu on the Art of War into her backpack. That was my first tip off that this was ment for more than just kids.
I've seen the entire series and don't worry, I won't spoil it. But I'm gonna tell you, you will be in a will be in a wild ride of family tension, crazy adventures twist and turns and more
Oh my how the turns have tabled! Good one! ❤
Wait until the Darkwing episode where it’s revealed DW gets all his gadgets from OWCA, there’s a reason he wears a hat, and it disguises his identity so well…
Launchpad battles Terra-firma, the embodiment of the planet who is sick of Launchpad always crashing into the Earth. Launchpad wins by crashing into it.
And how does Scrooge hold all those gold coins in his vault?…
Simple, the vault is Bigger on the Inside…
He had help from the husband of Queen Elizabeth the first and his blue police box.
I love Ducktales sm
I just realized… i need to look up if anyone ever wrote a fan story about the group from this and owl house and/or amphibia characters ever getting to meet… because i could SO see the chaos and hilarity unfold in my head… off to the interwebs!
I absolutely LOVE Webby. Her characterization from the first one to the reboot is amazing.
Surely, someone's already called out David Tennant as Scrooge McDuck? Watch for "Doctor Who" jokes coming up. 😉
There is a voice actor in an upcoming episode this season, causing a bit of a "Broadchurch" reunion with Tennant.
wait, really, i didn't know that!? 👀 that's cool, who is it???
I can't wait for her to learn about the secret 4th triplet, Glooey.
It phooey
Ah yes the sphere of celine which is a sphere where the truth about the triplets father is stored.
The Beagle Boys are among Scrooge's many enemies. And the most hilarious of them all! 😂
Debatable.
Love the reveal that Mrs. Beakley was really Ursula from Little Mermaid the whole time
Can't wait until she sees the arc where it turns out the Mrs. Beakly is spying on Scrooge to steal his precious 87 cents. He bites her on the way out, and they call it the bite of 87.
This show is what got me into pursuing animation seriously.
The spirit of saline is like a different dimension where this rockets everywhere
Webby learned to play the cello after that incident in Georgia with Lucifer (it was awkward but Luci let her go)
Only during the summer does she take minor jobs alongside James Heron Bond (whom by the way, is her bio-dad but Beakley was sworn to keep that a secret)
You'll get to know PLENTY of characters' deals on this journey...
15:27 how did no one notice this XD its supposed to be how the tables have turned
I love that Webby is basically Batman.
1. True
2. FALSE
3. FALSE
4. FALSE
5. FALSE
God i cant wait for the episode where a bunch of horses scream i live again whenever they wake up from a nap
We all know at the end, Flint Glomgold defeats scrooges and Takes over the show. The rest of the show now focus on him, and the whole theme song is a parody of the ducktales themed song but all about Flint Glomgold sung badly by Flint GlomGold.
Wait until the episode where Scrooge is cursed by a leprechaun and becomes Irish
