Hab mit einfachem Video angefangen und am Anfang ganz anders die Hände genutzt und mich korrigiert durch dein Video. Grade an der Ordnung meiner Fingersetzung. 🤓🩷 die Lust verlier’ ich lange nicht. Manchmal Spiel ich auch mit deinem Video zusammen um die Melodie zu verstehen. Macht viel Ruhe & Harmonie für für mich der Song.

hi, sorry was meant to reply sooner as you have asked numerous times. Honestly I keep changing the parameters, but normally its just the stock sample - Classic, open lid, all settings default, I add a little reverb but there is hardly any need as it has the ambient mic a little higher which gives lots of spaciousness.

Usually I never liked the stock preset, so I fiddled with the mic mix. Didn't add reverb as I too felt that the reverb from halls was enough. Decreased the dynamic range knob to 10. Reduced resonance knobs. My problem was, as I own a Graded hammer action 3 piano, I had to adjust the velocity curve till it sounded better, the default curve sounded too low for me. Also, how do you deal with low volume issues of the CFX? I feel I've to increase the audio bin post production. My Close mic is set b/w 5 and 10, ambient to 15, master to 10. I've to literally have to use an external amp plus keep my laptop volume at 70. This wasn't the case for me when I used the lite version.

You're one of my favourite TH-cam pianists. I always wondered why your recordings sounded so good, then I realised you were using Garritan CFX. In your older videos I noticed you have gone through loads of different pianos, any reason you've swapped so often? I seem to recall counting about six different ones.
I swapped alot because of my personality, I was constantly and rather naively searching for that perfect digital piano, which certainly doesn't exist as I found out the hard way! Garritan CFX records waaaay better than any hardware piano I have used in the past, it's still vst though and as such can't compete with a hardware piano playability wise and that feeling of connection to the instrument. But really it's all about experience I guess I learnt this way but trying out all these different pianos, big waste of time and money so I don't recommend it to anyone else lol.
@@markfowlermusic I upgraded from a basic Yamaha digital piano (P60) which I'd used very happily for seven years to a Kawai CS8 and I absolutely love it. One of the best things I've ever bought. I guess it should be good considering it costs £2500, however it was just so much better than the Yamaha equivalents.
@@markfowlermusic that's just sad...every good musician needs time, I don't know any pianist who writes a new song every 3 days. It's better to take the time and create wonderful music like you do than to write worse music because you are pressured by an upload schedule.
As always, brilliant work. Been watching your videos for several years now... I highly recommend giving James Newton Howard's score for King Kong 2005 a listen if you haven't seen the film already, I think you would like it a lot especially as a pianist :)
Easy, most if not all Einaudi is relatively easy. Took me a couple of hours on and off maybe to learn the whole thing, of course technically his music is not difficult, the way you play it is most important, it's simple but can be very effective if you play it musically with feeling.

Yes I did, the strings seem to work very well with the piano sample too.
