Last time he was on the show I was addicted to heroin & I remember thinking "Jay did it, I can do it." Now I've been clean for over a year. Stay strong fellas
Heck yes!!!👏👏👏👏I got clean a little over a decade ago. I was a slave to heroin/opiates, anything to make me feel nothing (apparently we are hard wired to actually feel stuff, who knew?!) Congrats to you! Nowadays I'd be terrified to relapse. I quit before fentanyl was in circulation with dealers and I am so grateful for that. I did OD on H, but I feel certain I would be dead if I used fentanyl whether on purpose or on accident. Stay strong. Even the sh*tty moments will pass as long as we don't do anything to make things worse for yourselves. Every moment passes, good, bad, neutral.💙
I met Jay and Kevin when I was like 12, they were friends with my sister. My sister told me, “These guys are making a movie, they’re gonna be famous.” And I said, “No they’re not, get the f%*k out of here.” Thankfully I was totally wrong, love their work!
I'm 21 minutes in listening to Jay discuss his Daughter and wow I'm nearly in tears. So very happy for you man! My Husband and I met you at a horror movie convention I believe it was November of 2013. To put it lightly, you clearly weren't in the best time of your life, I wasn't either, this is not coming from a place of judgement, I am truly happy to see you shining Bro! God bless
It's truly insane to watch footage from the early 2000's and then this. It's incredible and they should be insanely proud of themselves and their support structure
Oh man when he casually dropped Kevin has the next mallrats and jay&silent bob ready to go, can’t wait! Jay is a deadset cool dude so glad to see him on the show again
Jason Lee owns a small vintage camera shop here in Los Angeles and he’s in there all the time and he’s such nice guy and a blast to talk to. Very nice and down to earth guy.
So excited! I love Mewes so much! Can't express how stoked I am for this episode. The super dummy tour is hilarious, everyone should really see it, it's epic!
I am grateful for these interviews with sober people. I am 8+ years Cali sober, I drank the limit and paid for the right to boast pound for pound, no one alive has drank more than me - end stage liver disease, cirrhosis. Quitting alcohol and taking up cannabis saved my life. The cannabis helped my liver recover to normal function within 4 years. I have heard Steve-O does therapeutic sessions of ketamine - I feel cannabis is therapeutic for me.
Jay looks fantastic! I honestly didn't know too much about him prior to this but seeing him on this podcast and hearing his and Kevin's stories put a little soft spot in my heart for him!
Keep persevering towards directing, Jay. Kevin never gave up and everything that has come to pass is directly related back to his firm choice of being realistic with his choices while also simultaneously never giving up on said choices.
I hope Jason knows how great of a person he is, and how epic he is from most of our childhood’s especially the 90s. Even his voice is nostalgic and brings a little bit of peace to my chaotic life. Anyway, blessings on blessings.
Jay looks so much better than 12 months ago. He knows what it's like to be a parent, especially when they're sick and you're sick. Thanks, guys, for giving me something else to focus on while I debrief from a very serious and traumatic week of work. I can't go into it because of confidentiality, plus I don't want it to potentially trigger someone else. That campervan looks rad, it's so well camouflaged I almost didn't see it. 🖤💛❤
Man, I grew up obsessed with Jay and Silent Bob. I was so sad to hear about Jay’s struggles back in the day. Glad to see what a normal, happy guy he has managed to become.
Loving this podcast latley biking home from work every saturday at 12am which is sunday... always have to save this for then and if i dont its cuz the episode is way too rad to not watch right away. The mike the situation episde got me. It was so good and that day had a flat tire on my bike but it kept me in super good spirits. I just love the 2000s lore you bring as i was just a kid at that time i didnt kniw nothing but only heard about stuff from other people. Like i had a friend that said steveo is awesome and thats all i knew about steveo for a long time and now here i am rambling drunk hi 👋
When your kids make you grandparents. Everything changes! For the good! I love. My grandchildren. And I turned 50 I February! We all 50! And we are not old!! We are seasoned!! Meaning we know better!❤
I've been to both comic book store locations. At the old location (not sure about the new) they wouldn't always open on time. The guy running the place was kind of care free a little.. and they had directions on the way out to get to the Quick Stop and the diner from Chasing Amy.
When Jay was talking about the early video camera @34:26 I wonder if he's talking about The Fisher Price PXL 2000 ,,My friend had one and it seemed so cool back then, it did use cassette tapes to record.
I 100% think there are age preservatives in heroin! I was stung out for a little over 13 years. Im 35 now and i still get carded for everything! Nobody believes im over 18. 😂 jay was a HUGE inspiration for me! I used to listen to him and kevins podcast at work when i was dope sick. The only thing that got me through it. Just passed 7 years clean 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
I don't think you can make the claim until you're like 50 like Jay, and even that is still kinda young to be saying it's the drugs. Lmk what you look like at 70.
Dude I had that blow DVD. I think it was called Xfinifilm back then. Like this interactive movie experience. Nothing ever really happened for the product, it kind of died but it’s funny to hear someone mention it years later
Jay and Steve-O!!!!!! Fuck yeah!!! Two of my favorite dudes!!!!! You both Rock. You guys were both people that I really liked growing up because I just found you both HILARIOUS
"A Conversation With Steve-O" in Toronto when i was trying to see the Bucket list tour witch was then after the same day sold out so i drove 2 and a half hours to watch you tell stories ive herd 23! Times! about nothing for $300 was the worst day ive payed for in my life.. i could have done the interview for you ive herd it so many times
Steve-O reminds me of if Madchild and Anthony fantano we're able to conceive a child 70 years ago😂😂😂 LOL Steve-O you know I love you dude and hopefully you see humor in what I just said..... you are a legend brother Keep it going!
PS - Good episode. I genuinely like Mewes and only wish the best for him. You say TH-cam is your fingerprint and it really recommends you stuff you want. I beg to differ. I only want to watch what I watch and hate most everything it recommends.
Finally finished this podcast. Does anyone else notice how off Steve was towards the end? It's like he wasn't into whatever Jay was talking about. Luckily, Jay was able to stay on track and was excited to talk more.
*Episode 30* of requesting *Edward Furlong* as a *WildRide!* guest I really feel he'd be an amazing guest with Scott and Steve-O. Probably a lot of laughs and amazing stories could come out of that episode. I really hope this happens at some point.
i was on pills 12 yrs until our state governor cut them off for pretty much everyone. it def does something to preserve your age. i remember in the 90s ministry was talking about that. when i was 28 people thought i was in highschool. and im 43 now and most people think im 29 or 30. its very odd
I did vfx on the new Joker movie. A bunch of shots that didn't have any actors in it. Just city shots. I didn't know what it was until several months after doing the work. When I heard it was going to be a musical, I thought, aww shit, that's probably not going to go over well with the general public.
Last time he was on the show I was addicted to heroin & I remember thinking "Jay did it, I can do it." Now I've been clean for over a year. Stay strong fellas
Fuck yeah brother
Congrats mate. Keep that shit up 🤘

Good stuff 👍👍👍 keep moving forward !! One day at a time
@MaraJadeSkky same here. I've been sober 8.5 years and thankfully I stopped H before fentanyl made its way into dealers hands
I met Jay and Kevin when I was like 12, they were friends with my sister. My sister told me, “These guys are making a movie, they’re gonna be famous.” And I said, “No they’re not, get the f%*k out of here.” Thankfully I was totally wrong, love their work!
Daaaamn, why so aggressive towards the sister?! She was just trying to turn you into the Clerks lifestyle
and now ur famous Glock and so many love your work! crazy world
@@angelrivera6422we’re from Jersey, that’s not aggression, my response was rather peaceful considering.
Get Glock on Wild Ride! Steve-o can truly redeem himself with the gaming community.
Hey Glock who is your sister? Is she also famous? How did she meet them before they blew up?
I'm 21 minutes in listening to Jay discuss his Daughter and wow I'm nearly in tears. So very happy for you man! Jay is looking very healthy and full of life. It’s a great thing to see.
Congratulations on your recovery!
I love seeing these guys clean and sober. It's pretty fucking inspiring, honestly.
It's truly insane to watch footage from the early 2000's and then this. It's incredible and they should be insanely proud of themselves and their support structure
i feel that so much. man they look great!
Always great to see Jason Mewes
This podcast episode needs a throat lozenge
😂😂 For sure!
😂 Hahahahaha 🤣
Your butthole needs a drawstring...😮
It does not need any more fake teeth tho
@@Adam-hi9dhhis teeth look way better than they used to.
Jason lookin healthy. Love to see it
Bro with the "go see Joker 2" take is much wilder than the "heroin is good for you and keeps you looking young" takes lmao
Oh man when he casually dropped Kevin has the next mallrats and jay&silent bob ready to go, can’t wait! Jay is a deadset cool dude so glad to see him on the show again
Great onterview, a fun watch. Maybe we could get Sean William Scott on the podcast next
Steveo i just want to let you know, i watch you on my 70" tv right at the foot of my bed. Jsuk. 😂
I watched Jay and Silent Bob strike back so many times it's has to be one of my favourite movies i randomly quote lines from it 😂😂
Jay gets a thumbs up man heart of gold

Jay is one of the coolest ppl in cinematic history. The long hair the swag the attitude

Really appreciate him opening about all of this. It’ll help other people.
So sad about his mum too. I’m glad he’s doing great now.
41:56 Edward furlong?!?!??? Fuck yeah I love everything that man has done!!! Incredibly underrated actor below zero was Awesome
Animal Factory is a good movie.
American History X was heavy movie...
Hell yeah Edwards the fuckin bomb
I wish nothing but positive things for both Jay and Stephen, two legends.

"Cali Sober" ? I'm lost
Cali sober is when you do cannabis and certain psychedelics like ketamine but don't do the harder drugs and alcohol.
I GURANTEE lots of people have and still drink more than you😂
@@LaylaAlice18724cali sober is when you do every drug under the sun except one
No, brainiac, if you drank more than someone who was diagnosed with END STAGE liver disease, YOU ARE NO LONGER WITH US.
Hell, yes! Jason Mewes 😮 The reason why I’m a big fan of Kevin’s Smiths films. Excellent guess choice Steve-O! Love the Gemini energy in the room.
This is the content you should be pushing let’s go Jason mewes !!

I wonder what Jay and Steve-O like more about the Cybertruck: how ugly it is, or how poorly it functions
These 2 have amazing energy together.

The kid's video camera he is describing seems to be a Fisher Price PXL 2000. It was a video recorder that used regular cassette tapes.
TH-cam is the the new cable!! And there's millions of channels! Way cheaper. I love it! Can't find a podcast on cable.
Jay shitting out of a tree onto Steve o just writes itself!
I rewatched the old episode just one week ago... Weird coincident.

June 17th hear..... Alcohol and drugs.....
Oh man I’m glad Jason made it through I thought he tanked after the reboot
New Flav for Liquid D.
How in the actual F does Jay look like he just turned 35?
Heroin probably does have age slowing qualities. I definitely had arrested development 😅
PS - Good episode. I genuinely like Mewes and only wish the best for him. You say TH-cam is your fingerprint and it really recommends you stuff you want. I beg to differ. I only want to watch what I watch and hate most everything it recommends.
Jay Mewes with short hair is hurting my brain lol
Hey bucky! Bring back what's in the box with Kevin smith! Oooh craaaaaayup 😨 whoop whooooop 😂
So Kevin has been on twice… Jay has been on twice… how awesome would it be if next time, Steve-O had both of them on at the same time?
Nobody ever get's out of it. We all gonna die! But you guys had the best time ever ¡!

stevie is the antithesis of a good podcaster, hes the least sociable person. and his cohost does not help matters in any way
I would watch the Joker musical Jay started singing. 100%.
Exactly 1 year older than me😮

Yeah, I have 15 on my mom's side.

I saw Jay Mewes and was like, is that Jason's brother? 😅

Love Vinny talk to him few nights ago
Those new teeth make him look 20 years younger! In the Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, Jay had meth mouth/bitter beer face.
Obviously you don't remember clerks
How did you guys forget Gary Oldman. I had no idea what he even looked like in the 90s
How can people not know the new Joker was a musical? Heard it was gonna be a musical long before it was released
I can't tell who's talking if I close my eyes 😂😂😂😂😂
I love that Jay plays Minecraft.
He looks amazing for 50 he looks about 32
