    Try putting the old/faded visor in the freezer for a while. An optometrist did it with my transition sun glasses and it fix the fading.

      My transition motorcycle sunglasses also recommend to place in freezer for 2 hours and the to direct sunlight to bring back the transition intensity. 3 years later they still fully transition as new and still last for about a month before needing to be frozen again.

    I just ordered one of these for my RF-1400 open box on ebay for $70, way too good a price to pass up compared to $220 lol. We'll see!

      Nice! Curious to see if the transition is still strong

    A helmet with a flip down inner sun visor is still the best option for me! I’ve paid some hefty costs for Transition lenses for my eyeglasses and they don’t really last very long given the amount I paid for them. For me it’s not worth it. Transition lenses are a developing science and I’ve noticed that the commercialization of the lenses has tailed off over the past few years.

      I used to have a drop down shaded visor and it was pretty good. Sometimes the double glare of the two visors was challenging.

      +1 for the inner visor. Only problem is it can be kinda hard to flick the button when you wear thick gloves.
      I still think tinted visors look way cooler though 😍

      @@leeridefar do you think its the sun or time that wears it out? you said 4 seasons but I'm in a state where I ride everyday year round. it would really suck if it stopped working in half the time for me

      Online? I don’t know motorcycle parts too well. I rely on my local dealer and some online shops.

    How quickly does it react to the sunlight? And if you get inside a tunnel, how long does it take to go clear again? Thanks!

    • @leeridefar
      @leeridefar  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      It is very slow to react. It’ll take a few minutes to change. That said if there is any UV reflected anywhere it’ll stay slightly dark and on cloudy rainy days it will go dark.

      @@leeridefar Thanks for the quick reply! :)
      So I assume this might become somehow a downside as it can be a bit dangerous because you loose a lot of visibility? Do you know how it compares to others? Sorry, but I have only 2 months of driving experience, so everything is a quite new to me

      All transition lenses of any kind take time to transition. The helmets with drop down shaded visors allow for instant up and down. That is great for tunnels.
