I can't say I've ever played the game more then a few times, but God damn does magic have some really nice card art.
I've known Boogie by watching his Magic related videos. I used to visit his channel and watch his other videos, games, lifestyle, etc...I didn't really see that many Magic videos. If you do more Magic videos, I will watch them all and visit your channel often!
I completely forgot about the prerelease. I got sooooo pissed at myself. I was crying in my glorius computer chair until I started watching this video. Thank you, Boogie, for providing me with the joy of watching someone unbox a prerelease kit.

Just got back from my pre-release. I a Rugged Prairie expedition, and a Chandra in the same pack! That was awesome!

I came 12th at my pre-release out of 36...but I got a promo Chandra, Flamecaller, a Tec Edge and a Kiora. I honestly think Kiora is underrated. Her -8 ability, despite requiring a ton of loyalty counters, is a kick in the balls for anyone. I guess it is very expensive, but she isn't bad, right?
It's my first pre-release and I found two expeditions in my packs. Everyone sitting around me went crazy.

I started playing magic 2 days ago, and I can finally understand your unboxing videos lol. I don't have any cards yet. Just using my cousins deck to play against them. Its super fun and I can' wait to starting getting cards and building decks.

The only thing I liked about Battle for Zendikar was the story continuation of the Eldrazi, Chandra and of course Ulamog. Aside from that, it felt like a bunch of "eh" to me. Oath of the Gatewatch is a very nice 180 from what I can gleam.
I pulled a Foil expedition Cascade Bluffs in my pre-release kit. Payed for my signles and 2 headed giant evens plus some intro packs. and the rest is for packs
its nice to know i wasnt the only one who got crap pulls. my promo was pretty good though. ended up with eldrazi displacer. its probably a good thing you didnt stick around and play. we didnt finish up until about 5:30.

Ob Nixy keeps his oath because he is trying to destroy zendikar while the others join together, thereby making oaths to join forces, to destroy the eldrazi. Hope this helps!
I like a few cards from this set, its better than BfZ. but ill same my money for the return to haunted horrors of Indstrad. Really wish they would explain on the were's. would love to throw a werebear deck together.

Wastes are a common slot card and there's two of them. Theoretically, you should run into Wastes at twice the rate you would a normal common.
And yet, my partner for 2HG and I managed to not open a single one in our eight packs between us! That said, there's plenty of colorless support elsewhere in the set and I managed to run a few cards that required colorless specific mana.
martypunker lol Same here. I didn't get a single Waste in the four booster packs I opened to play with or the one I won.
Hey Boogie , can you please make a video explaning the different types of plays & how many cards you can have for those decks ??? I'm an over-all noob & I get the concept of playing, but I get confused when online players/TH-camrs talk about Standard and the deck size ......

I've never played Magic and have no real urge to play it (I play enough Hearthstone that I don't really have time for another card game right now), but somehow I still really enjoy these pack openings.
I agree about packs. I will open a few packs from time to time but not often seen as it's a very high chance of being a waste of money, although in the past month there have been 3 expeditions pulled at my lgs

I have that mouse! the model was from I think 2010. the newer deathadders had different scroll wheels.
I'm a bit late but I thought I would tell you that I got first place in my 2hg Prerelease and got 12 packs as a prize!
I didn't like Battle for Zendikar either. I also don't play standard right now or modern (even though I have a deck). I just have been playing at the prereleases. I might get back into it for Shadows Over Innistrad because I love Innistrad.

Awww Poor Boogie. Its okay dude, I have terrible pull luck to. I even have forfeited a Flipwalker Gideon to my dad cause at Draft one night he was like "grab that pack" and just to be contrary I didn't. Got crap, he grabs that pack, got Gideon. FAWK ME! So yeah. There's also the time that I grabbed a pack, then right after me this little snotnosed punk that plays at our LGS grabs three packs and all of them had fetchlands in them.
Boogie the cable management is almost as clean as mine! lol... who has time for that? :)
as a side note boogie you can get expeditions in the oath of the gatewatch packs. I got a Horizon Canopy in my Sealed prerelease box friday night. 2nd pack.
+Lilz By the way, as a comment on the Matter Reshaper.. if you're playing any deck with El Drazi there's pretty much no reason to NOT play a playset of that card. 3 for 3/2 is okay (not great) but the effect is AT WORST "draw a card" and at best, play a card from the top of your library... crazy good.

+SirSprite agreed! If that card had no effect it's still 3 for 3/3 perfectly fine card. And you know what's crazier? That effect is pumpable. If you got that out late game you can just tap half your opponent's board
+Lilz Indeed. I think what I like most is that it doesn't require being tapped. You can pump away or even protect your own creatures from target spells or abilities. There's so much potential with the Displacer and Reshaper.
SirSprite Exactly my point. I don't know if you ever watch the channel Boogie has mentioned, MTGHeadquarters, but I learned from him that anything that is decent and pumpable is almost always worth adding. Cause pumpable creatures allow for favorable trades and it wins games.

why the hate for Crush of Tentacles? Having a board whipe that leaves you with an 8/8 Octopus can be pretty huge.

Planeswalkers are a new type of card.
Cubing is a new draft format.
That's like me with Yugi-oh. I played when Exodia was the best. Then God cards came out as I was losing interest. Now I see Yugi-oh cards and they look EXACTLY like Magic now lol.

I'd invest some cash if magic had an online game that wasn't garbage, but no real desire to play the physical game
If u read the lore liliana would have been the black oath and yea obnixolis had those previous cards but he released ulamog and summoned kozilek and fights the other for planes walkers

Play it online its easier to learn that way , it's in google play store , iTunes and steam .
