      Think about that for a second yes it's your money because you bought the insurance policy insurance policies work a certain way and for you to claim that money they have to do their due diligence or we would have a society that would just be committing fraud all over the place second it's not a ripoff because there are people out here that are absolutely scamming the system and it's been proven time and time again you can be mad at it but you're not right and it's based on your feelings not fact now I'm disabled I was homeless for 2 years waiting for Social Security on top of having a mental illness in cycling in and out of that mental illness and trying to work at the same time and being homeless so you can work while waiting for it as long as you let them know when you are doing so and usually that work doesn't last very long and you're not capable of keeping a job more than 6 months and that will show that don't take what I said in a negative light and I'm not trying to personally attack you but I understand what you're saying I just wanted to clarify that because somebody else is going to read that comment and get an instant resentment instead of understanding how the process works part of the disconnect is understanding how the process works before you start the process

    She's wrong. Social Security Disability 5 month waiting period does not include any partial months so if EOD is July any day that month is lost add 5 full months to it January would be the first month of paid benefits. Basically you count 6 months of lost monies.

    I get SSD at age of 59 till my retirement age when, with no any change of my disability payment get the same amount. When my husband died I did not get any survivor Benefit, my husband died on May 27, the Soc. Sec, restrained his payment for May, even only 3 days left from May toward June.. I knew, if somebody die after the half of the Month (16-30)he is in right for the full retirement benefit for the month. he was alive 27 days of the MONTH? Right? Why his benefit was taking back, from my Soc. Sec. living me with NO ANY INCOME FOR A FULL MONTH(MRG, Maint, Assignment, Food and other payments + funeral expense. it was not FAIR!

    You know what the problem is, you should not need a lawyer or a judge determining what you are going to get. they should have nothing to do with social security, unless it pertaines to themselves applying for it. Please don't be so gullible to the system is out to rip YOU off any way they can.....

    • @n.w.c.29ah
      @n.w.c.29ah 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I have a question if the system's out to screw you wouldn't that be an instant lawsuit and that would be against their oath of office right and their bonded right so if you have a personal Vendetta and that's what you think by all means there you go I gave you everything you need to know on how to go after somebody that's in government or elected to government but I know for a fact the Social Security Administration isn't out to screw you it's an insurance policy insurance policies work differently then the judicial system the two systems are separate and just like an insurance company or unemployment they have Auditors that do investigations because there is a potential for fraud if we were going by your thought process there would be complete lawlessness and it wouldn't even be sustainable over time

    I received a SSD fully favorable decision from the judge and SS deposited a full 1.5 years worth into my account only 9 days after the hearing. He found I was disabled all the way back to my original application date, it took 1.5 years from start to finish for my case. The longer they wait to give you what is yours is simply more they'll have to give you down the road, once the judge makes a favorable decision SS wants to give you the money they owe as quickly as possible as the dollar amount only becomes larger and larger the longer it takes them to process your payment(s)
    I'm waiting on the letter from SS for the monthly amount they'll be depositing in my account and its way more than $1K per month in my case that I'll be receiving because of the amount of money I've earned through my working years. I'm almost retirement age anyway though. I suspect I'll probably be getting a letter from the SS payment processing center within the next 30 days.
    I never hired an attorney, did everything myself, only hired an SS advocate 3 months before my hearing as I let the facts speak for themselves through medical documentation
    I realize this video was made 6yrs ago so it may not reflect current SS laws/rules.

      @@nealjones84I received the initial check only 9 days after the hearing which was a years worth. A month after I got my initial check I started receiving my regular monthly payment. Which I get on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

      @@nealjones84You're welcome. If the judge found that you're disabled from the time you began applying for disability then you should get a lump sum check and then 30 or so days later you will start getting your regular monthly check. Some people get them on the first of every month and some (like myself) get them on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. I will be eligible for medicare in July as you have to be disabled for 2yrs in order to get Medicare.

      I was hospitalized on Nov27,2019 ,had 6 tumors removed from my Bladder was diagnosed with Bladder Cancer Dec 4,2019, Started Chemotherapy feb9,2020,filed for Ssdi on Feb 22,2020 claim was denied, appealed June,2021 again in Aug 2 &4 2021 ,hearing with an ALJ on Feb 9,2022, on March 25 the ALJ GAVE A FULLY Favorable Decision but then amended my original AOD to my 55th Birthday of last year after waiting more then 3 years I didn't recieve any back benefits and it was never explained why this happened but this is so wrong and so unfair I was definitely due back pay but was not awarded any back benefits Sad sad sad that the SSA OR A alj could do this to someone who was already struggling to stay afloat
