Raws debut on netflix was hot garbage. Zero storyline for the show or to carry it. Meaningless matches. No drama. No backstage brawls. Spent a ton of camera time on showing celebrity attendees(who cares about them). Crowd was lame. No energy. Matches were slow and boring. There's so much wrong with the wwe. They forgot how to make compelling tv. We just have matches for no reason. I could go on and on.
The matches with no meaning and that go on for like 20 minutes is something I just don’t get. The newer fan seems to like it. If you are more a fan from the 80’s and 90’s (like me) then it doesn’t make sense. I’m at the point where I’m just resigned that the product has passed me by and I have to accept it
WWE isn’t always predictable but Tiffany’s cash in swerve wasn’t predictable. Nobody seen Nakamura beating LA Knight at Survivor Series. Not everyone is predictable like you think it is. Russo should not be talked about anyone’s TV product when he booked the most god awful television in WCW and caused WCW to go down even deeper
After raw is went and watched a raw from 98. It was a turn packed the whole way. Crazy antics. Characters. Drama. Street fights. King and Jr hyping up the matches(Michael Cole has no clue that that's his job apparently). The 98 raw had me instantly glued to the TV.
@timothycurrier2523 nah, he's got a different opinion and taste than you do. I agree with him, but I'll respectfully disagree with you. Why can't you tactfully disagree and respect a different opinion? You have to name call. Criticisms should always exist. WWE has lost viewers under HHH. You can't deny that
People are brain washed thinking that triple h is the best booker. TONY Khan does it by him self, triple h has a whole team and the shows are garbage. I preferred Vince McMahon back.
An hour and twelve into Raw on Netflix. WTF is this BS. WWE celebration making it to a streaming platform. UFB! As for blaming the talent? What talent? Look at the tag team rosters from both SD and Raw. Probably didn't help dismissing writers months ago. Yeah, it's no longer wrestling,. It's choreography and poor storylines. Hour fifteen in and Cena speaks. Why?
I agree they let angles run for a long, long time, but it keeps getting a pop from the fans. Roman held the title for a long time and The Bloodline kept helping him win, but the fans stuck with him until the end of his reign at WM 40... Solo and the new bloodline kept up their beef with Roman for a long time, but the tribal combat match they had at RAW on Netflix was great and not at all boring or long in the tooth. Tiffany Stratton had been teasing cashing in MITB for months and when she finally did it was creative, sneaky, sly, a master stroke that the fans all loved. You can't criticize them for running really long storylines if they keep getting a pop from the fans even years later.
At this point the talent are complicate in this whole thing too. They could easily rally the entire locker room and say I'm not going on unless things change.
@@jjalkman1999perhaps so, and perhaps that is what Russo alludes to, him being better than many in the lame current roster in that regard (inring psychology/believability, a lost art). However outside the ring the guy is not charismatic, and specially not when compared to talent from better wrestling eras. Just like Reigns (ok wwe-style inring skills but nothing but a vest and a scowl, literally had to get over by default bc the others sucked more, and even then had to turn heel) or Punk (ok glorified indie darling inring skills w/ wafflehouse look and jericho-like speeches but even lamer; at least jericho had better rivals to play off of), big fishes in small iwc-created ponds. LA Knight being a rehash of Attitude tropes was better, but of course, he had to be buried.
Well, the talent are to blame for not working out hard and not visiting wrestling schools during the week. But the companies are to blame for overpaying everyone like they do and for reducing the schedule to a point where many can barely perform their own moves and noone has chemistry. You would at least expect that they make up for the lacking in ring time by introducing mandatory training sessions for the main roster.
Many of the boys from the AE and RA era are on record saying the show is trash. These guys know better than anyone. The art of wrestling is lost. It's stripped down to just pure fake fighting now. Who tf wants to watch that? Be like watching bloodsport and they whole movie is just watching Frank Dukes and Chong Li fight the whole time. This is a tv show not a sport.
Perfect example the liv and rhea storyline really has run its course. Even the Bloodline thing is getting old now. You cant keep them all together Solo has to go solo Roman to. Jey and Jimmy Jimmy Fatu they can have single careers. Chelsea green should not have won that U.S. title it should gave been michin. Cause she was on tuff enough michin been putting in work she can wrestle.
In terms of overall ring quality, TNA and The NWA are the two best promotions right now and it's not even close quite frankly. WWE is bigger yes, but as far as the TALENT is concerned, TNA and the NWA have better in-ring performers.
@cutiemarshall6502 TNA and especially NWA still follow a traditional pro wrestling model. Yes they have storylines but they are told in the ring instead of in vignettes, promos, and backstage segments.
Al snow was just a jobber so what the hell would he even know? It's Wwe's fault for not having better wrestlers and better creative. All they have going for them bloodline story which is getting old. Aew has Nothing though .
Were you in the wrestling business?? Were you ever a wrestler? If yes, then start a podcast and give your input. However, if you’re not a wrestler, writer, GM, referee or anything involved in pro wrestling, then in reality you’re just a fan who knows nothing about what they speak and just merely giving an ignorant opinion.
I feel like they are teaching the talent how to wrestle. But not teaching them how to be a wrestler. Bland guys with no odd name. No gimmick. No charisma. Etc etc etc
First off...each brand has their own writing team.. Each team has a head writer. So each brands staff only has to write at least 2-3hours a week... Not 8. There are no angles really being stretched other than Liv Vs Rhea and Priest Vs Balor.. Everything else isn't too long at all. At the same time they are shifting away from Balor Vs Priest because Balor is annoying Dominik. Liv and Rhea is finishing up on RAW.. Fully expect Liv and Becky to be a side angle to the title picture. When it comes to Roman Jey was the original answer in the long term then Cody became the clear favourite for 2 years the very second that he returned to the company. Gunther is the World Champion.. How is he off track? Lol. If any company has a lack of creative it's AEW.. Where are the Death Riders going? We had a plan of action at the start... Now every week they are cutting random promos, ganging up on people and trying to "murder" talent.. There has been zero push forward on anything. It feels like they woke up and went "same again this week?" When it comes to Codys cross Rhodes he was doing multiple towards the end of his AEW run. It isn't a thing that he just started doing in WWE. It's a carry over. That's on the talent.

@@WideWorldPod WWE fans are just like AEW fans. Thinking "it's good wrestling" just because they like it. TNA alone had way better matches and their women's division is better.
Womens wrestling is killing the show. The IWC has been programmed to cheer it but it’s like WNBA which is clunky, slow and flat out mediocre compared to NBA or NCAA mens hoops. Not to mention it cuts the roster in half which means those are spots that could go to a talent that’s under the radar or perhaps slow to get over. If Austin and Rock had been apart of todays WWE they would’ve been jobbed out and never given a second chance because Stunning Steve and Rocky Mavia were a bust
i agree with russo bro
But L.A Knight figured it out. And still not being booked right. How does Al explain that? Bro...
They know he’s money so that’s why they’re holding him back. Conversely, Gunther will never be bigger than the WWE and they know that. Therefore, he gets rewarded with the heavyweight championship.
@@osaji922 Exactly bro.
@@osaji922bingo
@@osaji922 That's how I feel about Austin Theory I feel like he looks too much like a star which is why HHH purposely book him like crap and emasculate the hell out of him every time he's on TV he's been doing that to him since Vince left.
Yeah LA Knight could be huge. He has the charisma to carry Raw like Austin did. He should at least be feuding with Gunther for the World Title.
Na Al just talking😂. How is it not WWE's responsibility to sign the right talent, write compelling stories and end things when it needs to be ended?😂😂😂
Al always blames the wrestlers
I’m at the point where I’m just resigned that the product has passed me by and I have to accept it
Correct on every point. And the bloodline storyline is still taking place. Can't take it any longer.
WWE is definitely predictable, but the PLE’s are highly immersive background content while doing anything else.
AEW doesn’t even have THAT.
WWE isn’t always predictable but Tiffany’s cash in swerve wasn’t predictable. Nobody seen Nakamura beating LA Knight at Survivor Series. Not everyone is predictable like you think it is. Russo should not be talked about anyone’s TV product when he booked the most god awful television in WCW and caused WCW to go down even deeper
wwe ple are as shit as their weekly shows
Al Snow once again, perfectly explains the nature and reality of the wrestling business.
Vince - “ can I throw something in there” ?
AL - “ hmmmmmm”
Me - 😂😂😂😂
After raw is went and watched a raw from 98. It was a turn packed the whole way. Crazy antics. Characters. Drama. Street fights. King and Jr hyping up the matches(Michael Cole has no clue that that's his job apparently). The 98 raw had me instantly glued to the TV.
Al Snow will always be an underrated legend. Man they tossed alot of stupid ideas and he still went thru with it.
Al's gimmick was carrying around a Mannequin head, Screaming he wanted head...never really got it.
Doesn't matter if you got it. You remember it so it left an impression. That's the goal. Entertainment.
@screwmachine6 I also remember the Gobbly Goobler, Just because you remember something doesn't mean it was entertaining..
Triple H is worse for WWE than Tony Khan for AEW. Vince McMahon on his worst days put better shows than Triple H.
Haha 🤣 u are a joke
Wow you are definitely clueless. Wwe is bettwr than it had been since attitude era
It’s okay to say they’re both bad.
You can't deny that
Very true... vince wouldve also never given away rumble...
Good Question and the Answer is no just Swimming against the tide of interest and believability and Stuck with having to step over the Past.
Ay, lets go BRO! ❤❤
People are brain washed thinking that triple h is the best booker. TONY Khan does it by him self, triple h has a whole team and the shows are garbage. I preferred Vince McMahon back.
wtf you talking about? Tony Kahn is garbage
Al Snow is a wrestling genius. If he was running a major promotion it would be gold.
Al just opened my eyes. I never thought about it like that 😮😮👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
At this point the talent are complicate in this whole thing too. They could easily rally the entire locker room and say I'm not going on unless things change.
Why do that though? They’re being paid too well to start an uproar. It’ll never happen.
I don’t think the talent feel the same way Vince Russo or Al Snow thinks. It’s been said the talent are more happy than ever since HHH has taken over.
@@WideWorldPodNot having to deal with a 80 year old man change everything.
Bayley is horrible
Gunther is the worst and shows Vince Russo has lost touch with reality when it comes to pro wrestling
Why? Gunther is one of the few remaining guys who makes his moves look believable.
Bro is not over...never will be
Many of the boys from the AE and RA era are on record saying the show is trash.
The more matches and training wrestlers have, the better they will perform in the ring. In WWE/AEW, it is one match a week or even less at this point.
@cutiemarshall6502 TNA and especially NWA still follow a traditional pro wrestling model. Yes they have storylines but they are told in the ring instead of in vignettes, promos, and backstage segments.
Al Snow, the Donald Trump of Professional Wrestling
Etc etc etc
Al a smart man
Al snow wrestling company sucks😂
Omg😂😂
Al is al'ways right
We are in the JOBBER ERA of wwe. Zero stars except maybe roman

The test is non-wrestling fans.
Some random guy at the mall, or a football game. Does he even know who Seth Rollins, Gunther, Damian Priest, Solo Sikao are?
Now compare that to when everybody knew who Austin, Rock, Goldberg were.
wwe is not hot. Not a single person not watching wwe during the pg era is watching wwe. Its the same fans that aew and wwe has been tapping for years and you get a surge of casusals when people like rock come back.
There is absolutely nothing hot about this era. There is a fckign reason they got owned by another company and have a sports drink logo on their ring. They cant get by with ticket sales, merchandise and stuff that vince could get by.
