Hurrrahhh AIRBORNE ! This is more like it ! Brings back momories especially thousands of push ups, flutter kicks and screaming by the Airborne Instructors.Just like Ft.Benning Airborne School in Georgia in the summer.Im glad I went through there and survived.
194th BAC! AIRBORNE! :D My most scariest jump was my 4th jump from C130. I was the last jumper and at the door already and the pilot had to U-turn as we were at end of strip already. It was O.O.
I really enjoy these videos, it gives an insight into The SAF that fills me with nothing but respect for them. Has cyberpioneer ever done an episode on women serving in The SAF, and their rolls? If not, is it something we may see in the future? Again, thank you for posting these. All the best from Canada.
It takes hard work, pain, sweat and determination to complete this course and it definitely takes a lot of courage to jump off the plane. Airborne All the way !
What happen IF the main and the spare chute 'malfunction'??? (touch wood) Anything from undeployment, deployment halfway due to tanglement, ripping and so on. Ever taught the trainees the worst case scenario? Another question that sounded impossible: Could a retiree maybe about thier 30s, doing re-training? Be it parachuting, BMT and other exercises? Very interested to know and juz wondering if its possible. Thanks.
i remember he used to be 1st sg when he taught me jumps, during those days he will come to trainees from time to time when we rest on the bench, shafted his hands in between legs n said "kar kui kui, tan tua lui, go knock it down".. lol
Well I ever dream to be part of SAF when i was young now next year just going to go NS and Airborne is one of my favorite. Really want to learn everything in the SAF through mentally and physically and be part of Commando's but people doubt me not to join SAF and they said waste of time and also just because i'm a Malay. I interest in all this not because of video games, guns lovers. It's i want to find my leadership inside me and about being human with responsibility. People wont understand me.
why use C-130 when we have chinooks? They are cheaper to operate and can fly pass more times than the C-130. I'm sure Malaysia would do the same if they have chinooks yeah?
@ngwenhao haha but even still? wont they be like abit scared when they are on air and about to jump? if it was me.. i would chicken out in the plane.. haha
But you may not get what you want... Commandos very hard to get in if you sign on... You must be Pes A fit (guy or girl)... and have lots of stamina.. They may make u go through an interview also even after passing first online application clearance. :/ Most people that sign on end up in Infantry, logistics... if they're lucky they get Guards or Commandos. Another way for guys to confirm get into Commando sign-on, is if they themselves already are inside the mono-intake when enlisted in BMT.
No Malays in the video doesn't mean no malays in SAF and it doesn't mean no malays with airborne badge. Why don't you come join SAF and see for yourself? Stop spreading racial disharmony at our country when you don't know how to take care of your own country's racial issue.

yes there are malays in the commando unit but very little, my cousin was in the commando, and he told me there was only 2 malays including him.
