- Short video of my tank with Danio margaritatus. A little overpopulated, but I'm going to change to bigger one one day. Apart from Danio there are also 4 Otocinclus affinis, 5 Kuhli Loach and tens of Babaulti and Red cherry shrimps.

Man i wish this was in hd
back in those days I had no full HD camera :(
The danios have a beautiful coloration! The aquascaping is amazing as well!
Aquascaping was completely random. I had no idea what I was doing with plants at the time and this was my first aquarium with completely random plants in it.
they are so cute and beautiful! with all of the green, WOW! great aquarium and video :)
Absolutely Beautiful tank.
Very nice set up.
Perfect set up and fish.
Nice colors.
Nice setup, good use of Cladophora algae!
Wow you are a composer as well, good relaxing music
very nice aquarium btw
I can't speak for the clown loaches, but my Dennison Barbs get along fine with my Celestial Pearl Danios in my 50 gallon. My CPDs occupy the planted center of my drift wood aquariums, while the DBs just swim freely around. They never even go near the CPDs to harrass them.
just flat out awesome! im so jealous LOL
Kuhli!
rasboras seem to be perfectly healthy in your tank
how to u get that flam like color ? why all i get is orange!
I have just purchased these they are young and not (yet) that colourful and really shy. However, i have tried all sorts of food i do not see them eat like yours, what do you give them? Or feed them with?
Yes, they have eggs, there are little shrimps. As they get ~4mm fish start to ignore them. "Some" babies have grown. Anyway - I don't know how many of them survived (30%?). I've got a lot of plants so you may look at the tank and say there are about 5 shrimps, while there is still over 50 of them remaining hidden.
do they eat babies shrimp? i have crystal red shrimp, and afraid theyre gonna eat the smaller babies
What kind of moss is growing on the driftwood??
very nice :)))
what is that you were feeding them with?
nice planted tank have they spawned yet i bought six few weeks ago doing fine in small tank with neons are they better in tank by them selfs they are tiny
@Limpedalong
Actually, it's not a moss, it's Cladophora algae (of course not a harmful kind) split and bound to the wood. Names reffering to it: Marimo ball, (Japanese) Moss ball, Lake ball. It's quite cheap, naturally forms into rootless balls, grows very slowly (even at good light conditions and CO2 infusion).
Absolutely wicked fish!!
do you see any success with those shrimps in your tank? does they have eggs, and babies able to grow up to adult size, with those fish in there?
Did you manage to breed them?
Hi. Awesome tank buddy! Can I ask what plant is that in the middle? The one that looks like water wisteria. Is it invasive or is it easy to manage in the tank. Actually I'm looking for a plant to replace my wisteria that is not as invasive.
PS>>>BEAUTIFUL planted aquarium. I've read and read and read what I could about how to start/maintain a planted aquarium but I just don't understand all the chemistry. Not my best subject! LOL
Also, my Clown Loaches would uproot and shred everything in the tank too. Bummer!
Wow, they don't look so nice in the store, but i just got 10 of them. Hopefully, they show up in time
Yes, they do. Any fish that would eat living worms will (how the fish could see the difference between little shrimp and a worm?). Of course not all fish are equally predacious. If you want to raise most of little shrimps, do not keep them with any fish. If you can live with 60-80% lose of babies, go ahead.
From my own observation I can tell you that Celestial Pearl Danio is going to hunt little shrimps less likely than any Neon fish.
Greetings o/
How many gallons?
Cool set up. Near the end when you are feeding the fish, what kind of moss is that growing on the driftwood in the background?
What kind of food was that you were feeding your danios? I have 3 celestrial danios in a fluval spect w/ melaysian driftwood and dwarf baby tears. And a outbreak of snails, i had bought a assassin snail to keep the population down without having to use a chemical but he died about 4 days ago, i never noticed him eating the snails like he should...
I'm in LOVE with these fish. They're gorgeous.Unfortunately,I believe that they'd be too small for in my 185g.(I've never seen them in fish stores-only online)
I'm not sure they'd survive my clown Loaches as 7 of the 10 I have are Large (5-6") and would probably see these guys as fish food.I will also be adding some Large Dennison Barbs to my tank soon so...so,yup,eventually, fish food! What size are yours here?I'm sure they appear larger than they are.I'd love to have about 20 of these guys.
А не подскажите что у меня за данео могу сказать что плавники и хвост прозрачные а тело серебряное в малиновую крапинку
Hello. What kind of food do you give to margaritus?
Various - some dry veg, dry insects/plancton, some frozen various worms, some alive worms. I guess variety in any fish diet is the best, easiest and healthy choice
Piotr Gawłowski i love this fish...
Piotr Gawłowski thanks
Will they live and breed in hard water?
Live - yes, breed - most probably they won't. Better to keep water
Hmmm... I guess many fish breed after it has rained a lot, and you can't get softer water than rain water...
